I just watched 40-Year-Old Virgin. It was hilarious, of course!
My new Favorite pickup line: Do you want me to be a f*cking retard...? XD

I also saw Super 8(?) a week or two ago. I liked it for the most part. It had an old-school feel to it and developed very well.

What I don't like about movies like that are the way they are advertised. It always seems like a cheap trick to get people who absolutely wouldn't watch the movie, if they knew what it was really about, to watch it. Usually I'm extremely disappointed after that kind of hype but this time it actually wasn't bad.

I saw Minority Report last night, I wasn't too involved in the plot at first but eventually the action really draws you in. Lot of deep shit in that movie too (not Inception deep but still pretty hard to follow if you don't pay attention).

ANOTHER UPDATE:

Kramer vs. Kramer-Aww, a heartfelt drama. Also, it touches on sexism towards men, so that's cool and stuff. Better than I thought it would be.

Memento-Made perfect sense. No sarcasm. I hate when a director goes out of the way to make something original and people complain because they have low comprehension skills. Very interesting story, probably one of my top movies, but not in the top 3.

Interview with the Vampire-I was worried about this being sissy. It was definitely not. Insanely violent, and with a nice horror-esque atmosphere, although only once was it actually anything that could be called scary. I don't love colonial-era settings, but it didn't annoy me too much. Not the greatest thing ever, and kind of long for the end result, but nonetheless, not bad by any means. Christian Slater's acting bugged me, it seemed like he was trying too hard.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind-Terrific movie. The idea is wonderful and Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet made a good disfunctional couple. The altered memories are great, which is good, since that's most of the movie.

Double Indemnity-Legit film noir. After The Killing I was kinda reluctant to return to the genre, but albeit slightly unoriginal, the movie had enough unconventional quirks to render it pretty damn good.

This. It's not very hard to get most anything if you actually put your mind to it. Unfortunately most people don't want to think even a little, which is why we get shitty CGI action movie #2344564234 every month.

And to post on-topic... I honestly cannot recall the last time I watched a movie. I want to say it was *still* Inception when that came out on DVD, which should be pretty telling.

This might be spoiler-heavy, especially with it being a sequel:

Aliens. Sequel to Alien. This had its ups and downs compared to the original. For one, it was directed by James Cameron. Ridley Scott did the first movie. Some might say that this one was just a copy of the original in a different setting, but you could say that about most movies today. The main difference in the sequel is the military. There's guns now, although the use of them gets severely limited as the movie goes on. Overall I enjoyed it more than the original -- the characters in the original just felt empty, and this movie improved upon that.

I watched 2 movies last night.

Snow Buddies. Adorable movie about 5 golden retriever puppies (the buddies) who somehow end up in Alaska. There they help a young husky achieve his owner's dream of becoming a sled dog team.

Super Troopers, the movie was fucking hilarious.

Cars 2 (2011). My expectations were higher, but it wasn't bad. I liked the James Bond style.

Heat (1995). Great movie. Al Pacino with Robert De Niro = instant secks

I saw Horrible Bosses. I thought it was pretty funny. Nothing too special about it, but I laughed a lot and I think that was the point of the movie.

My problem with HP7 Pt. 2 was that it was more of the second half to a movie than its own movie. The opening scene looked like a commercial. Also, it needed moar Luna.

^ I agree, but I think the beginning was just trying to remind people what happened in the first part. Also, yes, MOAR LUNA.

Just saw HP 7 pt. 2. It was ok, definitely not the best HP movie, but whatever, and..I didn't have to pay for the ticket, woo!

And I also hate 3D, the effects are minuscule and the colour is grey as fuck, definitely not worth the extra 25 kroners.

I watched Porco Rosso and Raging Bull last night.

Porco Rosso was great. The most mature of the Studio Ghibli movies I've watched so far, but it that's not too hard to accomplish. And while My Neighbor Totoro and Ponyo are both calm for the most part and are pretty "slice-of-life" for a good portion, Porco Rosso actually has a more typical plot with a "bad guy" introduced (in quotes because he's not actually much of a bad guy) and a clear climax in the film and all that stuff. I thought the movie was hilarious, too.

Raging Bull was good. It's pretty much about the life of Jake LaMotta, a boxer from the 40's and 50's. I think they just wanted to get the point across that this guy was a douchebag and stuff. The movie ends in a pretty anti-climatic way, but the little speech he delivers is strangely epic in a way I can't really explain. I mean, thinking back on it, it probably shouldn't have felt very awesome, but it did at the time. Iunno.
