Don't think I've ever heard of this game but free is free. 24 hours tomorrow.

I played a free weekend of Red Orchestra once. It was cool, but I was awful. A friend loves it, but with the time constraint of the free weekend, I couldn't really get into it. Just kept dying =p.

They made Denmark in Minecraft on a 1:1 scale.

You need a spare terabyte to download it, so for those of you who have no idea why someone would need more than 1TB, now you know. Denmark in Minecraft.

They dug up the legendary E.T. landfill. Why anyone would want to look for such a horrible game is beyond me.

https://gamesdonequick.com/schedule/

Don't take the times as gospel; games that go over their allotted time will set the whole schedule back.

Anyway, runs I'll try to watch:
Super Mario 3D World
Jet Set Radio Future
Donkey Kong Country
Kirby Super Star
Aladdin
System Shock 2
Psychonauts (I should really play these last two games before then)
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Bomberman Hero
Bastion
Dust: An Elysian Tail
Anodyne (and these last two, too)
TMNT IV: Turtles In Time
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (and 3 if I'm bored enough, I guess)
Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing
Yoshi's Story
NSMBU/NSLU (whichever wins)
OoS/OoA (see above)
Goldeneye
Skyward Sword
Dishonored
Mario block
Pokemon Puzzle Challenge
Pokemon Red/Gold (whichever wins, again)
ALttP
ALBW
Super Metroid
FFVI

...Yeah, there's no way I'll watch all of this because I'm sure it adds up to over 50 hours and I need to sleep anyway, not to mention there are other things to do, but I put a higher priority on some runs than others. (DKC, DXHR, Yoshi's Story, Goldeneye, TTYD, Super Metroid, FFVI, etc)

In any case, I look forward to this and I'll have to make sure I have money to donate.

Nintendo have announced stuff for E3. Project Treehouse is a lot of devs streaming their new games and the new Smash Bros will be available to play in Best Buys nationwide, apparently. Also there's an invite-only Smash Bros tournament at E3 which is incredibly awesome.

I'm both intrigued, excited, and worried about all of the things announced. I like how they're handling everything in a way, but I'm just worried people aren't going to watch because they're not going to actually be at E3 and I'm worried they might not get covered as well by the media because of it

This is the new trend. Everyone who's anyone (at least in tech) has their own event now instead of dedicating all their time to E3 or whatever major event happens in their industry. And why wouldn't they? They can pick out a time and control the message, without having to worry about a competitor stealing their thunder.

I'm not worried Nintendo won't get coverage. They will. They'll still have their E3 presence, the gaming media will still be reporting on things during E3, etcetera. I'm just worried that they'll show more of the same old stuff. We don't need yet another Mario game or another mini-game collection or some such; we need Nintendo to announce heavy hitters. (I wouldn't be surprised to hear about a new Zelda, which would be nice.)

In any case, if I hear more on X and SMT x FE, I'll walk away from this event a happy man. I'd love to hear a release window on those games, but I already expect 2015 anyway, so whatever.

I think I need this. I already want all this stuff besides the Wii Wheel accessory anyway, so unless I'm saving money by getting it on craigslist or ebay or whatever, I'll probably pick this bundle up in July, assuming I can find it somewhere. If not, I'll still get this stuff somehow. >.>

Nintendo literally does not allow their indie guy on Twitter, apparently because of a tweet implying he didn't like region lock. LOL WOW. A good social media presence is almost required in 2014, but what does Nintendo do? They ban their indie guy from Twitter and use their Twitter/FB accounts to post generic stuff that might as well be shitty attempts at advertising. I don't think that works out very well. I feel like social media's best use for someone like Nintendo is to try and connect with the fanbase. This is video games; fans want to feel connected to the people who make their consoles and games. But no, we get whatever this is, and it just feeds into the perception that Nintendo is out of touch with gamers/the industry.

It's something we don't talk about when it comes to "fixing" the Wii U, probably because Nintendo, but getting good indie titles might help the situation. Let's face it. Major third party games are not coming, and if they are, they're not getting features their PS4/XB1/PC counterparts are getting. The Watch Dogs DLC (more like lack thereof) is merely the latest example. Nintendo can only release so many of its own titles, even if they are what most of us buy Nintendo systems for. A decent indie stable would only make it easier to justify a Wii U purchase.

They already confirmed the new zelda will be shown at e3 and you might want to get that bundle before July since you'll get a free game for buying Mario kart before June 30

Pretty sure the Nintendo Direct said July 31st, which works for me. My plan was to pick a Wii U, MK8, and DKC:TF up in July anyway. I might wait on the bigger HDD/pro controller, but yeah I want the system and a couple games first and foremost.

Also did not know they were going to discuss the new Zelda. That should be cool.
