If you have a little sister you may be even more annoyed with the main character than I was.

I started Kill La Kill but I don't think this series is for me. I only like the airhead girl and the level of fan service was obscene.

In my case it took a long while. It's an obscene amount but the best thing you can say about it is that it has both male and female fanservice (you'll see this later if you stick with it), which many works of entertainment do not.

Outside of fanservice it has DON'T LOSE YOUR WAAAAAAAAAAAAY (and other great musics), awesome fight scenes, and a cool artstyle. There's definitely stuff worth sticking with the show for.

Also you're a grown ass man, tell them to eat a cock.

After a while, the fan service gets so obscene it's pretty much a parody. Trust me, it's a good watch. I had to goad some of my friends into it and after they finally got through it they liked it.

Also Mako da best

So yeah, started some anime from this season oh god I feel myself turning into a weeaboo kill me now.

I mean...

Aldnoah.Zero: So far it seems like it has a pretty predictable plot. None of the obvious "plot twists" have surprised me in the least. Regardless, what it does, it does well, so I won't feel too bad about sticking with it even if it stays bog standard for 13/26 episodes. I'll just wish it *did* do something more because the production values are insane and I feel they shouldn't be wasted on something so standard. I don't think anyone can really dispute the animation and sound are top-notch (Kalafina da best), even if you don't particularly care for the style.

I'm really interested in finding out who the fuck Inaho is, because he doesn't seem like an ordinary student. He just seems too damn *good* at combat. I'm also interested in the shit going on with the Vers government/aristocracy, but good political intrigue generally interests me.

Also Urobutcher gon Urobutcher. Katrina, the BP spill, and now a fucking castle dropped on New Orleans. Fuck that.

But yeah, I enjoyed the first five episodes a lot and I'll definitely stick with it unless it goes downhill later.

Terror in Resonance: There's so much the show HASN'T gotten into after 4 episodes that I would be disappointed if this ends after 13. We have characters to develop, past events to explain, oh, and a terror plot to expand upon. On that note, what's looking to be a potential relationship between Lisa/12 is really interesting to me. I don't care what direction it goes in, insofar as it's plausible/interesting. But yeah, every main character in this show so far seems like they'd have an intriguing backstory, so I want to see more of that shit.

You could have just said "Yoko Kanno did the music" and I'd watch this shit. You know, for future reference. I don't think I've seen anything she's been involved with that has bad music. Admittedly, that's a small number of things and those things were great regardless, though her music definitely added to their greatness. The artstyle is pretty coo' too but the music is spectacular.

Sticking with this shit too, even if I have to put up with ads.

Monthly Girls' Nozaki-Kun: At first I felt this was Awkward: The Anime. The situations/Sakura's thoughts are so outrageous that I couldn't help but cringe. I almost closed it out more than a few times in the first two episodes, because yeah I felt weird watching this.

It got better. Episodes 3-5 are just consistently hilarious. Maybe that's just because I got used to the show's brand of humor/satire/whatever, idk. I do like Sakura; she can seem so damn savvy when it comes to relationships and such, but when it comes to Nozuki, LOL HAHA STUPIDEST THOUGHTS EVER. I feel like the juxtaposition between these character traits makes her character interesting. Nozuki is kind of an airhead, which is refreshing when a lot of things don't really have a male with that character trait. Also enjoy Kashima's character and how the girls fall all over her instead of any of the males. Good times.

But yeah, I'm thinking I'll try and stick with this one too. I didn't really expect much after episode 2, but it got better in a hurry.

As for the others Lightning mentioned, I'll probably watch them tomorrow night or something. Might check out some of the other anime from this season too, but I haven't given that much thought. /shrug

Oh yeah I didn't mention this in the other post but you may also want to catch up with JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. That's more of an undertaking than the other ones since it's up to like 46 episodes or something, but it's a pretty good watch. It's just a show that's super ridiculous without taking itself seriously at all, but still manages to have a pretty good story and characters. Like Gurren Lagann if Gurren Lagann were even more ridiculous.

hell yeah that's my kind of shit

I don't mind things that are stupid/outrageous, but the key for me is the people who make it have to know it's stupid/outrageous and run with it as well. I don't like obvious popcorn flicks that take themselves too fucking seriously, etc.

On that note, that's pretty much the reason Sabagebu! works for me. I don't really know what I can say about this except it's so fucking stupid that it's hilarious. And yeah, I enjoy that the main character is generally an asshole even to her fellow club members, especially considering that a whole lot of entertainment features leads that would be on the "good" side of any moral scale.

I enjoyed Blue Spring Ride, too. "Enjoyed" might not be the best word, since I haven't been this depressed watching anything since Clannad, and Clannad had the decency to wait a while before getting sad. Idk I just feel I can relate to Kou a little too well (more so the emotional distance thing than the events in his life), and it makes me kinda sad. Other than that, the main leads are interesting so far and I look forward to finding out more about the supporting cast.

Saving Barakamon! for tomorrow because I probably have to wake up at a human time (which blows), and also considering at least trying the Sailor Moon reboot. I suppose now I'll have some episodes to catch up with on the other shows, too, which will give me another good night of anime viewing.

So I started Sabagebu! today and it is brilliant. I'll catch up and watch regularly because I love it. The self-awareness and 4th-wall breaking is what clinched it for me.
