Worse than the final two eps of NGE?

I would consider End of Evangelion as the end of that series, which was a fantastic ending.

Great job of not answering my question.

Gonna start re-watching Rurouni Kenshin, I've read the manga but haven't seen the original anime in ages! :D

I assumed you brought it up because you were comparing the ending to FMA to the ending of NGE.

Yeah those episodes suck? I don't know anyone who would say they were good.

I don't know if I'd say they were worse. That movie almost ruined the first FMA series for me. Those two episodes didn't do that for NGE, since I could more-or-less pretend they didn't exist and it doesn't affect the series much.

I almost want to watch FMA and then watch this movie to see how bad it is.

It's not terrible. It was just a very very disappointing ending. I'm probably over-exaggerating.

Mashup of Maxine Nightingale and Haruhi Suzumiya.

Just wanted to share and say that this is one of the best mix/mashups I have ever heard.

From a thematic stand-point, I thought the last two episodes of NGE ended things quite nicely. Sure, they don't make a goddamn bit of sense without some form of research, but when you know what they are, things start to click.
It's what happens in Shinji's mind during the Instrumentality sequence of EoE.
I agree. I think you're better off having watched them, because they give you more insight into what was going on and how messed up the characters actually are. It'd be much worse if EoE didn't exist, and that was the ending to the series, but as it is I really don't think it's a huge deal.

And to add onto the FMA/NGE thing. The Conqueror of Shamballa is definitely better than the two NGE episodes, I just think its impact on the series was far greater. CoS was the ending to the original FMA series, and it ended it very poorly. Those two episodes ended the TV series, but not the series as a whole, and actually did add some development in case you didn't pick up on how messed up they were.

I like Funimation and all. They're great about getting their stuff available to people. They license a lot of their stuff to Hulu and Netflix. They have a bunch of their stuff on their YouTube page and some more stuff on their website. They're also a big company as far as anime companies go, so they're also able to dub all of the stuff they license. I love that part of Funimation.

They are, however, incredibly hit-and-miss on what they license, unfortunately. They've licensed some good stuff lately, like Guilty Crown and Mirai Nikki. It seems like most of the stuff they've licensed recently, though, has looked awful. Other companies, especially Sentai, seem to be doing a better job licensing stuff.

I just started Bakemonogatari, because I've been interested in watching it and a sequel, Nisemonogatari, is going to start airing in Japan tomorrow and Crunchyroll picked up the show to simulcast.

Finished Bakemonogatari. Fantastic show. It's about the main character, Koyomi Araragi, and how he helps some people with supernatural problems. It's incredibly quirky with a very niche style, and focuses on the characters and their development as well as the dialogue between the characters more than anything else. I personally loved it. Every single character in the show is great. I also found it hilarious.

It was made by SHAFT, who also did Puella Magi Madoka Magica. You can definitely tell it was the same studio. A lot of the background art and music are similar between the shows. Both series are must-watch series. I also watched the first episode of Bakemonogatari's sequel, Nisemonogatari, and it continues the greatness.

I also just watched the Revolutionary Girl Utena movie, The Adolescence of Utena. It's a loose retelling of the TV series. It's very good, though I was pretty confused as to what the hell was happening some of the time (mostly towards the end). I have an idea of what was going on, but with a show like that, you still can't help but think you're way off base. Anyways, I'd recommend it only if you've seen the TV show. If you haven't, you'll just be completely lost. It's not a sequel or continuation or anything, and most of the characters actually have completely different personalities and slightly different looks, but you still would have to watch the TV show anyway. Which isn't a bad thing because the show is brilliant. The same VA's do the show and the movie, which was nice (I watched it subbed).

That sounds pretty good, and reminds me of Mother 3. Another thing to add to my "Watch Later" list xD

I'm in the middle of Rurouni Kenshin. I decided to watch the sub, which is pretty good (and Kenshin is voiced by a woman lolol). I can't wait to get to the Kyoto arc. :D

Well, anything that was powered by MegaVideo won't work. Perhaps that's your problem.

Since Megavideo was shut down and I can't watch it on Gogoanime, I'm watching Rurouni Kenshin on Animecrazy. :P
