Posted Image all the piracy forever We finished season 2 of Game of Thrones yesterday, and shit, it's starting to get pretty intense. I can't wait to start watching the third season! I'll be up to date in not too long. I also haven't watched The Walking Dead snce episode 9 of the current season even though I've got episode 10 and 11 ready. I guess I was never in the mood for it. And of course one has to finish up Supernatural... We're at episode 6 of season 8, so there's plenty of that shit to go around. |

Game of Thrones Season 3 is gonna beat the shit out of the past two seasons. Just to let you know, Ep 1 and 2 were slow burners, but I'm pretty sure everything else will be utterly intense, if 3 and 4 are to go by. The ending of 4 was worthy of being a season finale. For all you book readers, the ending goes somewhat like 'Dracarys'. :D |

Finished season 1 of Game of Thrones. I don't really have anything else to say about it 'cause I'm kinda late to the party, and I read it. Trying to watch GoT while reading ASoS so I can catch up in both for the season 3 finale. |

Dammit why'd you make me remember that episode? A friend and I have been competing to see who can finish Buffy and Angel first, but I'm fairly far ahead so I've been watching some Supernatural. Tumblr nearly ruined this show for me, but it's pretty good. |

I'm following this list, and the last episode of Angel that I watched was Disharmony. The one IRL friend of mine that watches Buffy recently started season 4, but he won't watch it with Angel. I'll post more stuff about both when I finish seasons 5 and 2, but it's much better than season 1. However, something about the characters in Angel just feels different from Buffy... A big part of it is probably just because Buffy was first, but I don't know. It feels like Buffy characters would do anything for each other without hesitating, but I don't feel like that for Angel characters yet. I think they're getting there, though. And I hear Fred is pretty cool, and she gets introduced in two episodes. So far though my favorite is easily Lorne. |

Angel was always more adult-oriented than Buffy was, which is why I didn't relate to it as much, but like I've said before, Angel's characters don't total even out until season 3. Lorne is pretty fly. And yeah, Fred is amazing, but not so much when she first shows up. It takes a little while. Also, watch her accent slowly disappear. It's kinda funny. I wasn't a huge fan of the Pylea storyline, but whatever. |

I've actually kinda liked Angel a bit more. I dunno, I think I just like Angel's character more, and I might be a bit pissed at Buffy (the show) for turning Spike into a massive wuss. Oh, and also Lorne. Also apparently Amy Acker (Fred) is in like, every Joss Whedon thing ever. So that's cool. |

@Darkie: Yeah, I get what you mean about Angel being more adult-oriented. Also, that accent thing you mentioned sounds silly. I'll look out for it. @Mac: Yeah I really don't like wussy Spike. But I'm in love with all of the other characters except Dawn so I can tolerate Spike. I really don't dislike Dawn, but so far she hasn't done anything to make me like her. Maybe she will after Glory is killed or locked away in another dimension or whatever they do to her. And yeah I like that Joss Whedon reuses actors. I've only seen Amy Acker in The Cabin in the Woods, but I've seen some others in multiple things. I'll see Much Ado About Nothing when it comes out though and that has a ton of Whedon actors too (including Alexis Denisof, Amy Acker, Nathan Fillion, Clark Gregg, and Fran Kranz) so that should be cool. Hopefully some of them and more can turn up on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. I was surprised at all the new faces on there. But apparently some people think that J. August Richards is going to play Luke Cage. I know approximately nothing about Luke Cage, but yay J. August Richards! I like Gunn, anyway. |

So I started watching Teen Titans Go!. I know it can’t replace the old show (the creators went in a more comedic direction), but it can stand on its own merits. I’m glad they got all the original voice actors to reprise their roles as the Titans, and I love the references to other DC heroes and villains in the show (the stuffed animals on Starfire’s bed for example). All in all a very good show. |

Hey, speaking of wussy Spike, I was on TVTropes the other day looking at not-Buffy stuff and stumbled upon Badass Decay, which "was once called Spikeification". Heh. Anyway, finished season 5 of Buffy. I'll watch the season 2 finale of Angel after this post.
Hmm. Well, I thought this was the most emotional season so far (I doubt 6 and 7 get more emotional though). Not just sad emotions, but obviously The Body does exist, so it was the most emotional part. I also really liked the episode Family, which was when Tara's biological family hated her but it's cool because the Scooby Gang loved her <3. In addition to that, any scene with Willow and Tara tended to be emotional. Most were good emotions, 'cause they just love each other so much and they're so perfect together, but there was that one fight they had which was sad because it was just the one fight. Starting a new paragraph because large blocks of text are repulsive! I won't necessarily stick to the same topic throughout, though. Anyway, I felt like this season had a lot more foreshadowing than past seasons. Or maybe it was just thought-out more? I mean, there was all that foreshadowing in the season 4 finale, Restless, too. But this season established that Joyce would die early on, introduced Ben as someone who might just be a recurring character at the hospital 'cause there's so many humans in the Scooby Gang who are bound to get hurt but OH NO HE'S PART GLORY. Additionally, the guy who Dawn went to for the spell to resurrect Joyce. He could've been a single-episode guy, but he came back too. And the alien demon who killed mentally damaged people revealed what happens when Glory does the brain-sucky thing. And the troll hammer guy. Then there was the Buffybot stuff. So yeah, I felt like there was a pretty large amount of foreshadowing, or at least making every episode count. As for Glory, I didn't really like her as a villain. I feel like they just thought "Well, Buffy keeps killing these demons. And the human/demon/robot hybrid! Let's make the next villain an EX-HELLGOD. YEAH. That sounds tough." Her sharing a body with Ben seemed like it was only there so there was a way to kill her. Her personality could be fun to watch sometimes. Hmm other things: -- Riley. I guess it's kinda good that he left. If he was going to feel out of place, then he needed to either leave or do something that says "I'm not going anywhere". I'm not glad that he left, but it would have been annoying if something didn't happen. -- Anya. I still love Anya. I still don't understand her fear of bunnies, but I love her. AND HER BREAKDOWN IN THE BODY WAS SO SAD :(. -- Tara. Glad she's a regular now, even if she apparently never makes it into the main cast list of the opening credits until she dies. She's great, though.
Anyway, might not start season 6 immediately. |

Hmm well finished Angel season 2.
I'm just going to start by saying that at the end of the finale episode, I thought "Ah. A nice happy en -- oh. Willow's here to tell Angel about Buffy's death. Well THAT makes things depressing. Anyway there's not really a Big Bad like Buffy (well, originally I thought it was Darla) so I'm just gonna list whatever here. -- Wesley is still awesome. He hasn't seemed to change a lot, though. But I know, Darkie has said that stuff happens next season, so that's cool. -- I like Gunn, but again, hoping for his character to evolve more. So far he just seems like extra muscle with a cool personality. -- I thought it was cool that in the season 2 finale, Cordy decided that she likes the visions. I'm glad that she really cares about what she does, even if she still insists on calling herself an actress. -- WHOAH I just found out that the Anne who runs the homeless shelter is the same Anne from the Buffy episode of the same name (season 3 premiere, I think). That's pretty cool. I know she's the former wannabe vampire as well, but eh. -- Fred seems cool so far. She didn't do much until the season 2 finale though. -- I don't really like that they just kinda stopped the Darla stuff to go to Pylea. -- WOLFRAM & HART IN PYLEA? CONSPIRACIES. -- Angel eh idk. His emotions are all over the place -- an unhealthy habit for a man with his condition.
|
