But that's silly, because "Ozymandias" was the greatest episode in the history of ever. Not really, but it was probably my favorite episode of the series, followed by "Felina". |

I just finished Dexter.
I can't really say I was very happy about the ending. Debra fucking DIES. That sucked major ass, and my eyes started leaking. And then Dexter goes off and "dies" as well. I was really sad when he "died", but when he appeared as a fucking lumberjack alone in this shitty cabin. I don't know, I wasn't really happy about the ending. I either wanted him to confess his crimes after he slayed Vogel's kid to Batista and Quinn, but that didn't go down. I didn't want him to get put in the electric chair either and I guess it makes sense that he didn't want to kill himself, but him going into the storm after dumping Debra's body (I wasn't too fond of that either btw, I think she'd much rather have a proper burial...) was kind of cool? Nah, not really. It sucks that he didn't get to live happily ever after with Harrison and Hannah and instead just became a lumberjack in bumfuck nowhere. The best ending for me would be to see him happy with Hannah and Harrison, finally realising his humanity and dropping off the dark passenger. Now for Breaking Bad...hopefully that ending wont suck as well.
Now it's time to finish up Breaking Bad. I still have like 4-5 episodes of season 4 left before I can start the 5th. |

I've been watching my friends play X/Y. It's pretty entertaining/tormenting. I guess I could post some more complete thoughts on the two new shows I'm watching this season: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. -- The most recent episode (fourth one, Eye Spy) felt like the first "normal" episode to me. Obviously the first one had to set up what the show was all about. The second felt like "Can we trust Skye?" and the third was like "Yes we can trust Skye" and now this fourth episode feels like everyone's being represented pretty equally except maybe FitzSimmons. Also, this episode seemed to have a kinda-big thing that wasn't resolved at the end so I guess it's the beginning of whatever this season is about, so yay. I do think that means it'll start showing something bigger that could have an effect on the movies, but I hope it's not a huge effect. I don't want to see Ultron created here or anything like that. But if they want to involve AIM or HYDRA, I would like that 'cause those were introduced in the movies and we haven't seen them do anything outside of Cap 1 and IM3 but they seem like they would be continually doing evil things. And more people seem to be getting curious about what happened to Coulson so yay because I'm curious too. Sleepy Hollow -- Still enjoying this a lot (more than AoS). It's so fun and I have no idea where it's going and all the main characters/actors are great (though this one girl Katrina is supposed to be a main character but she only gets a minute per episode if she's lucky). The only thing I don't like is that the main character's sister escaped from her psychiatric institutionalization and worked with the main characters for an episode but they didn't acknowledge her at all in this one so idk where she is. |

I had some issues with the Breaking Bad finale (though you're in for a real treat with season 5 as a whole), but it's not even close to the shitfest that was Dexter's finale. |

Aaand I guess I'm done with the TV Buffyverse. I'll probably get some of the comics sometime, though. Definitely Fray, then probably Angel: After the Fall and the not-very-clear canon of stuff that exists between it and Buffy season 8.
I liked this last season more than Buffy's last season. I think it was probably my favorite season of Angel. It felt like all of the characters were developed more this season, while in earlier seasons, most of that came from Cordelia and Wesley. I was skeptical about Gunn's magic lawyer knowledge, but I was pleasantly surprised when it had consequences for him later. Obviously the consequences weren't pleasant, but it just seemed like "hey free knowledge" before then so I'm just glad it wasn't free. Anyway, more specific stuff. Unfortunately, I knew Fred would die and Illyria would take over her body. It's just hard to avoid some spoilers on some websites. It was still extremely sad, though. Wesley's death wasn't as sad (maybe because I knew about that too and it was much quicker). For me, I think the saddest part of the finale was probably Lorne's exit. He really didn't get much to do this season, but it was sad seeing how in the end he just witnessed too much death with Angel and had to move on. Now that they don't have Cordelia, Fred, or Lorne, I wonder if they're ever happy in the comics. I've read some complaints about the finale because it supposedly "ended on a cliffhanger", but I thought it was good. The last few episodes talked a lot about how no matter how many people they help, it won't make the world a better place, so I saw this is a continuation of that theme. The other big complaint I've heard is about Illyria. I've read that people don't like Illyria because she is trying to find out what it's like to "be hyoomaaan" which they claim was already done with Anya. I can see what they mean, but Illyria still has a good amount of power, and Anya already knew what people were like (just couldn't understand them), so I think they're different enough for Illyria to be alright. I just didn't like that she was this big evil being in one episode and then an episode or two later she's someone they need to help out. I know they can't just send her out into the world and I know she said Wesley was her guide, but it still felt too sudden, considering it took several seasons for Spike to change and he had a chip in his head to assist with that. I'm not sure if I like Buffy or Angel more, now that I've seen both. They both had their ups and downs. Anyway uh I'm glad I got to meet all these wonderful fictional people. Yeah. Good times.
Next: Probably finishing season 1 of TNG. I just started A Feast for Crows, and if I continue The Wire or start Twin Peaks or Mad Men right now then they might distract me from reading :P. |

TWIN PEAKS The pilot is one of the most fantastic episodes of anything. It's basically the exact same as The Killing's, but like three times better. The second half of the second season though. Um. |

Netflix cloaks itself in Marvel superheroes TL;DR -- Netflix is making four separate shows based on Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage. Each of these shows will have their first season of 13 episodes each available in 2015. Also, apparently there's a Defenders miniseries to go with it. All of this sounds really cool, 'cause Marvel's stuff has been cool lately and Netflix's series are supposed to be pretty good too. However, I'm not sure if it'll be too much... They already have two movies coming out every year in the Marvel universe, plus Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. now. I'm 99% sure I'll watch these new series, but I'm just worried about the shared universe becoming too complicated. |

Well of course those shows could be separate from the Avengers series, like how Spider-Man and X-Men are their own universe. |

I think that's just because of who owns those movies. Netflix made this deal with Disney, so they could crossover if they wanted to. The article says that they're set in "the gritty world of heroes and villains of Hell's Kitchen, New York" so it's possible they could just stay there and deal with local/not-world-threatening villains, which would be a nice change, actually. The movie superheroes just deal with the occasional guy who wants to rule/destroy the world, but there are still bad people who don't want that so it would be a nice change to see here. So they could be separate most of the time, I think. If there's any crossover, I think it'd be these characters showing up in smaller roles in the movies. |

Marvel is making too much stuff, and Netflix is buying too much stuff, so it was destined that they'd meet eventually, in some horribly excessive way. |

Idk, this is probably the best place for this. AMC has announced/ordered/idk two new shows: Knifeman and Galyntine. Knifeman is about an 18th century London surgeon who happens to harvest organs/bodies from graveyards to make some extra money. Galyntine is a post-apoc thing where some people live without technology. I think Knifeman sounds a lot more interesting, but part of that is because we have enough post-apoc things and Galyntine sounds too similar to Revolution, which I've heard is bad. AMC's would probably be better, but eh. Knifeman sounds cool. In other news, Orphan Black season 2 begins on April 14 <3 <3 <3. (I'll post normal stuff in this thread soon. Almost done with TNG season 1 (5 eps), The Wire season 3 (3 eps), and The Prisoner (3 discs, 5 eps).) Edited by Snowman, Nov 26 2013, 03:55 AM.

Starting watching Chuck on Netflix. I'd heard it was amusing so I'm giving it a shot. First few episodes were decent. Gonna give it until the end of the first season to see if it really grabs me. |
