Finished Firefly yesterday. Had a band concert today after school so I didn't have time to watch Serenity earlier, but I did have time for the pilot of Star Trek: The Original Series. I think it was the pilot that they decided they didn't like or something. It's called the Cage. And yup, as I have been told, it is indeed quite the cheesy show. I don't mind it at the moment. It's only three seasons so I'll probably stick with it.

Also, since Firefly was so good, I'll probably start watching other Joss Whedon stuff. Probably Buffy, since I think it's the most popular of them all. I have no idea when I'll watch it, I just know I want to.

Joss Whedon is a total boss. Watch Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. It's a 40-minute web musical that is cool and has Neil Patrick Harris and Nathan Fillion.

Buffy is probably the most popular and next most critically acclaimed show he's made, but I'll warn you that it's drastically different. The main things that carry over and [generally] likeable main characters and clever episode plots. And snappy dialogue, depending on who wrote the episode. You'll quickly catch on that some writers are just way better than others, in terms of dialogue and plot. Honestly, some episodes are just stupid. And don't expect anything out of the special effects.

I'm watching Dollhouse now. It's his least acclaimed work, but whatever. The plot is smart, but for some reason it doesn't really pull together that well. I just started though, and I've heard it gets better as it goes.

@Darkie: I'll check out that musical, then. As for Buffy, I loved the characterization in Firefly so if you say it's like that in Buffy, too, then I think I'll like it.

Anyways, did watch Serenity today. It was great. =D

Just saw an episode of 'An Idiot Abroad' and it was pretty funny. It's a reality show (on the science channel, I believe) about this average British guy who Ricky Gervaise (and some other guy) are making do all of the things he has on his bucket list. Plus they make him do embarrassing other things.

Downloaded The Walking Dead season 1 (LIKE A PIRATE!) tonight, watching the first episode right now. Holy crap it's intense!

I also finished Chuck...I thought, but then I discovered there was a 5th season, so I downloaded that too, watched the first episode today. It's a short season, only 13 episodes, but I'm sure it's going to be good. Chuck kind of lost its awesomeness after season 3, but it still has a lot of kick.

And I'm re-watching The Big Bang Theory too, hilarious show, so why not? I'll download the 5th season when it's done.

And then eventually I'm planning to watch the 6th season of Dexter, it's going to be sick.

I'm watching The Killing while watching The Guild while watching Dollhouse while watching Mad Men. Because I'm impractical.

The former three won't take long to finish, considering The Killing has one season, The Guild is a web series that's like 4 hours put together, and I'm halfway done with the two-season Dollhouse.

Felicia Day needs to pop up in The Killing. She's on a roll.

Since we're all getting fancy with the grammar, I'll start using italics too.

A lot of people didn't like The Killing. I could see why. I was entertained by it though. It definitely had its high point in the pilot, but I rarely got bored with it. The Emmy nominations it got, it did deserve.

I watched the pilot of Missing tonight. Wasn't really looking for it, but it sounded alright and my mom was watching it so I figured I'd watch it too. The pilot was alright. It wasn't bad, but I don't see the show raising television standards either. Also, I hope it's a miniseries because the plot is about a mother looking for her son and if she looks for him for every season, then... Well she's either a bad mom or he's just stupid and it will be annoying.

Also, Star Trek: The Original Series is... well, it's not bad, it's just that I prefer shows with story arcs that last at least one season. ST:TOS is like a completely new/unrelated adventure in space each episode. SO, I'm just not gonna watch it for a while. Which means I have to decide what to watch next... My thoughts:

Buffy the Vampire Slayer -- I want to watch it. Not really much to say other than I've heard it's really good.
24 (season 2) -- Already watched season 1, but wanted to watch some other shows for a bit. I could just jump into this again. Liked season 1 a lot.
Breaking Bad & Man Men -- Haven't seen either, but BB interests me more so I'd watch it first.
Game of Thrones -- Oh hey, it's on Netflix. DVD only, but still, I had heard HBO was pretty tight with letting other services use its shows. This isn't high on my list though considering I'll know everything that happens, while I don't know what happens in the other shows.

So umm if anyone has any other suggestions, that's cool. Mainly looking for a good story.

Pretty tight? Try "they don't allow it". Why would you allow your shows on a competitor of HBO Go?

I'm just going to do as I usually do and download the first season of Game of Thrones. Sure, I'll know what happens too 'cause I just read the book, but I find it silly to jump in without seeing the previous season.

Also, up to episode 4 of the third season of Mad Men. I think I'll catch up by the season premiere.

Actually, I didn't really catch onto the pilot of The Killing. I just thought Twin Peaks did a really similar concept a lot better. I liked the second episode a lot more. And that's as far as I've gotten.

I'm pretty sure I'll finish it by the new season.
