I didn't say he watched too much. But you're right, I don't watch enough. Anyway guess I haven't updated in a while so let's see what I've watched:

The X-Files (season 6) -- Very good season. I think every episode shipped Mulder/Scully hardcore so I expect them to become a thing early in season 7.

American Horror Story: Murder House -- I thought it started good and got worse until that one well-done twist and then got worse again. The first couple eps seemed very horror-y because of the mystery of the house and neighbors and stuff, but as more got explained, it became significantly less horror-y (horrifying?). That's kinda good because I'm scared easily and don't want nightmares but if it's going to call itself a horror show I'd expect more horror I guess.

The IT Crowd (seasons 1 and 2) -- It started off as obnoxiously British, but it's grown on me. There are still lots of times when the characters are unrealistically stupid, which I know happens a lot in sitcoms, but it's just distracting sometimes after watching Silicon Valley, the best comedy ever. And what I've seen from British humor in general always feels very aggressive (THERE'S A JOKE! LOOK? DID YOU SEE IT? LAUGH AT IT. REALLY IT'S FUNNY.) to me, but I guess I've just gotten used to it for this show.

Parks and Recreation (season 1) -- This one can get away with stupid characters because they're not Britishly shoved down your throat, and one of them is Chris Pratt, aka bae.

Futurama (season 1) -- A lot better than I expected, actually. I've also seen a handful of other episodes, and it's funny, emotional, and Bender is unexpectedly relatable.

In-progress: Arrow (season 4), The Flash (season 2), Agents of SHIELD (season 3), Star Trek: The Next Generation (season 2), Orange is the New Black (season 3), House of Cards (season 1), Six Feet Under (season 1), Game of Thrones (season 5), Danger 5 (season 2), The IT Crowd (season 3), Futurama (season 2), The Walking Dead (season 6)

If you weren't into S1 of AHS, just stop now and save yourself. S2 is still good most of the time, but it has some missteps (aliens???). S3 is abysmal and everyone says 4 is just as bad as 3, but I dare not find out. That said, that plot twist in 1 blew my fucking mind.

And so far, I don't think I've heard anything good about Hotel. Sounds like it's really terrible.

I mean, I liked season one, but I put off watching it for so long because I expected to be terrified by it, and then I watched it, and I wasn't. I plan to continue at some point, but idk when. Surely it's not worse than True Blood, which I loved.

Watched the first ep of Jessica Jones. It's great and I'd recommend it to you if you are a fan of:

-- Netflix
-- Marvel
-- Krysten Ritter
-- David Tennant
-- Carrie-Anne Moss
-- Feminism
-- Interracial anal sex
-- The gays (not related to the above statement)
-- Excessive drinking
-- Extreme amounts of sass
-- Dismantling the patriarchy
-- The color purple (not to be confused with The Color Purple -- I literally just mean the color purple)

I love all of those, except for sometimes Marvel. Was planning on starting it this weekend/next week, and now I'm really looking forward to it.

The superhero spree is sorta grating on me too, but I like the Netflix versions at least because they don't have to play by Marvel's usual rules. Also, judging from the first two episodes of Jessica Jones, I don't think fight scenes are really gonna be a big part of it. There's one in the second episode, but it's pretty short and for plot purposes, and I don't remember any in the pilot.

Not to say I hate fight scenes, it just gives the show a lot different of a feel than most stuff in the superhero genre.

Part of me wants to watch this because that list, but another part of me feels they'd try and connect this to everything else, and I'd miss references/important plot points.

Fuck that, I'll just drink instead.

I just finished the first season of The Leftovers. Might have been my favorite season of TV since 2011, which was when we got the first season of Homeland. And I hear the second season is even better.
