All good. It was just a gargantuan page stretch, basically every paragraph became a line.

Comparative scale pic is really interesting, though. You think of Temple as a huge place and this just dwarfs it. But when I see a stage I think "how well could Bowser maneuver this?" and right now it doesn't look good for him. Still a great-looking stage though.

They talked about Bowser being remade into a more agile character. Also, the footage of Charizard showed stuff like his Fair being a hell of a lot faster and he just moved quicker in general. I feel that they're doing away with bulky, slow hitting character and trying to shift their power elsewhere?

Character roster here, btw.

I hope not. Sometimes you feel like playing the slow, powerful character type and sending people flying. Ike was really popular (I think he was the most popular newcomer in Brawl iirc according to some poll, I forget where) because he hits like a truck and still has a fair bit of mobility, just not a stellar competitive character since competitive players can react to his movements quicker. It's cool that they're making them (hopefully) able to defend themselves a bit better but sometimes you just want of those "oh fuck he just went flying" moments.

I do agree that characters like Ganondorf and Ike are fun for gigantic hits or whatever but Project M does a fantastic job of making these characters bulky and powerful while not being overpowered. Ganondorf and Ike feel really fast in those games but it's mainly managing the time for their moves to come out with a decent range which is a good way of balancing the bulky guys. I wanna see more of that in SSB4 which is what we're currently getting.

I'm fine with the others being bulky, but charizard always felt wrong being slow, his second best stat is speed for Christ sake. Big shouldn't have to mean slow, I'd rather them just keep him like his skills, powerful special attacks and fast, with weak physical attacks until he mega evolves

Also if they want Bowser to not be slow they should make his final smash cat Bowser. Unless of choose that will be a new item, which would be the greatest item ever just like in Mario

The Double Cherry needs to be an item. Right now.

@Marill
That would be great. Just imagine a match of nothing but Double Cherries.

Am i the only person who doesn't have a main? Not just on here, but every site I read comments on. Like, in the first two games i definitely used Link and Pikachu the most, but in Brawl i used Sonic and Snake a lot and I've always used every other character a bit. There have been countless times where I've played as many other characters. The only ones I've never used that much were because I knew people that mainly used them, like Kirby and Captain Falcon. Heck I rarely ever play the same character twice in a row

I don't really have a main, either. I probably play Ganondorf most often but I wouldn't play him nearly as much if I actually cared that much about winning. I tend to use a lot of characters, too.

Like Lightning, I dunno if I'd say I have a "main", but I play Mr. Game & Watch most often. My friends don't like when I play him, so I guess I play him well enough.

I play the game a hell of a lot so I do have mains; Falco for Melee/Brawl along with Mario in the former and Toon Link/Zero Suit in the latter. Generally when I play I hop between lots of different characters that seem fun then just hit Random for most of the games when I'm playing with friends. If I'm 1v1'ing people on equal skill level I'll generally just stick to one of a few characters that I either want to learn, like Captain Falcon in Melee, or just play Falco. Loooots of Falco.

Same with me about the random thing. I probably go random more than anything, but, when I'm serious, I usually use Sheik. That goes for both Melee and Brawl. I like most fast, physical characters, though. Especially Fox and Captain Falcon.

Melee I don't have a particular main, I suppose Jigglypuff, but I have some good success with Zelda. I want to get better at Pichu for humiliation factor but I don't really want to put the time into that.

Brawl I'll play anyone, my mains being Olimar and Snake. After that I guess it's a mixture of Diddy, Lucario, ZSS, Ike, and Wolf.

My secondary is Ness, and I play Falco a fair amount, but I kind of suck at him.

I usually change characters every match, because I'd get bored playing the same character for too long. My favorite characters though are Kirby and Link for SSB, Mr. Game & Watch and Roy for Melee, and Marth, Mr. Game & Watch, Pit, and R.O.B. for Brawl.

I'm a huge fan of Captain Falcon in all three games, actually. He's one of the only character who has a consistent playstyle through all of them I feel although in Brawl he kinda sucks cuz his main thing is incredible speed, combo potential and horizontal air speed along with floatiness to combo offstage... in a game where everyone was floaty.
