I'll probably will get all the games they showed for Wii U. Yoshi looked amazingly adorable. Smash obviously will be good. The Kirby game looked interesting. The captain toad mini games were fun, so I have high hopes for a full game. Bayonetta looks good and it's hard to pas up when it comes with both games. Xenblade I'm not too sure on, but from what I've heard of the last I'll try it out, the gameplay from a year ago looked better than the trailer. Mario Maker will be fun so long as it's just an eshop game. the new Zelda is gorgeous and I live how open it will be. Do excited for a new start fix.

Yeah, Nintendo's show was easily the best, but it's easy to beat "no games I'd want to buy at $60". That isn't saying much.

Xenoblade Chronicles X is a weird name to me, but once again it stole the show. It looks a bit more realistic than its predecessor did, but it's still a gorgeous game and the scale still feels epic. As for gameplay, it looks a lot like the original, but I like the idea of being able to target different parts of a monster or whatever. This is the game I'm getting a Wii U for, and it did not disappoint.

We didn't see much Zelda, but what we saw was gorgeous itself. I suspect we'll see gameplay sometime next year (probably during E3), so I'm not holding my breath waiting on that.

Didn't see anything during all the Smash stuff that would change my mind. It's Smash; I'm getting it on Wii U day one. I'll be passing on the 3DS version because there are other games I'd rather get sometime soon. Palutena looks like an interesting character, but I'm not big on the Miis. I guess you could make them someone funny, but I think the novelty would wear off soon.

Yarn Yoshi exists and is now Yoshi's Woolly World. It's Yoshi, again a day one buy. Beyond that, I really did enjoy the yarn aesthetic; the whole game is just adorbs. I would hope the levels are bigger and more complex than the ones we got in Yoshi's New Island. I enjoyed it more when you had to combine actual platforming with exploring the levels for goodies, as opposed to exhausting every square inch of a level for the collectibles.

Splatoon was interesting. Not "omg must have day one" interesting, but interesting enough to pick up if the price is right/if people have the game. I don't feel there's anything I can say here other than it looks fun. I do like how you can look at the gamepad and get an idea of how the game is going, though.

I hope Captain Toad has a lot of puzzles, because if it's a short game I can't see picking it up until it's cheap. It seems like a decent puzzler, but not a very hard one and once you've solved all the puzzles/gotten all the shit, there's little to replay it for.

Hyrule Warriors looks nice I guess, but I'm not sure if or when I'd pick it up. I never saw something that made me think, "yeah, this is a game I need to get".

Mario Maker will bring us levels that look like they could be from Kaizo Mario, levels comprised of dicks everywhere, or the occasional levels that actually might fit in a Mario game. It looks really easy to design levels using the gamepad, which should be a huge boon. Assuming this is $10-20, I'll probably pick it up. I can't see it going for $60 unless it turns out to be part of a Mario game. If that were the case we'd probably have heard about the game.

The two Project titles we saw were meh. Like with Hyrule Warriors, nothing grabbed me. However, unlike that game, these are probably early in development, so it wouldn't be prudent to write them off entirely.

The Kirby game looks like it mite b cool. The potential for some really interesting puzzles and the aesthetic ensure I'll at least keep an eye on this game.

Bayonetta 2 looked and sounded like Bayonetta, so I'm happy there. Bundling the first one with the sequel is a nice way to add value to the purchase. Not sure if I'll pick this up right away because fall is crazy crowded for me (and I need Christmas money, somehow), but I'll probably consider doing so after the holidays.

In not-Nintendo, I only bothered with Civilization: Beyond Earth. I'm disappointed that we didn't see things like how to progress in the tech tree, the changes to the espionage system, and the victory conditions. I'd have rather seen any of this stuff than some of the early game, which is generally boring in Civ because all you're doing is exploring/fighting Barbs. It doesn't matter; barring some massive disappointment between now and release date, I'm getting this game.

I don't even know. I want a Wii U/MK8/DKCR, but I also want the new Civ, Persona Q, Omega Ruby, Tales of Xillia 2, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, and Bayonetta 2. It's just too much, especially once Christmas shopping is factored in, and I'll wind up waiting on many of the games I want. That's a better problem than wanting nothing/not being able to get anything, though.

DAT STORY TIEM

Nintendo's "all day show" type of thing was awesome, I liked just checking back to the stream occasionally to see the games they were showing.

Smash Bros is Smash Bros, they could announce pretty much anything at this point and I'll still buy it. I was very sceptical of how competitive the game could be during the free for alls - the game looked too slow with not enough hit stun - but the final showed that it's easily playable. It'll probably be more like Brawl's "chess-style" competitive play rather than Melee's ridiculous speed and that's fine I think. I'm very excited to play it, regardless, and I think Nintendo have realised the marketing potential that "esports" has.

Yoshi's Wooly World is possibly the prettiest looking game I have ever seen and it's a Nintendo platformer. Will pick up day 1.

Captain Toad is a game I might buy for £15-£20 but I get the feeling it's meant to be a full price game. I mean sure the SM3DW levels were fun but not that fun. If it has billions of levels I could see myself just playing it for a few hours straight but not much else.

Hyrule Warriors is fan service: the game in a good way. Idk if it's a day 1 purchase but it'll mean there's a Ninty game for every month when I first become a student. Welp, I'll be poor.

Xenoblade looked utterly amazing and has character customisation. Pretty sure I won't get to play it past Sev at this rate.

MARIO MAKER GOTY NEVER HAVE TO BUY A GAME AGAIN real though I'm really excited for this but it doesn't seem to have toooo much depth right now. I can't see how it can possibly take them to 2015. I'm also interested to see if they changed the mechanics between SMB and NSMB styles, the trailer didn't seem to but the mechanics are definitely different.

Kirby game looks a'ight, not all too fussed on it tbh. We just got a main series Kirby game so he can go back to gimmicks and that's okay.

Splatoon gets more awesome every time I look at it. It just looks so unbelevably fun and well thought out.

Bayonetta 2 coming with Bayonetta 1 is awesome but I didn't enjoy the first so I probably won't pick it up. The trailer looked amazing, though.

All in all, I'm really happy with what Nintendo showed. I would have liked more solid release dates and prices as a lot of the games they showed looked like smaller released but oh well. I have Mario Kart to tide me through the Summer anyway.

Am I the only person that thinks there is a chance of them localizing Mother 3 on the Wii U eshop? In the fake Reggie moments, he blasted the guy in the crowd over 3 different things. First there was about making another Mario game, bam we got one, but it's something small. Second there was Star Fox, which we learned at the end of the event. Finally there was Mother 3. I just find it odd that a) they would put it out how they're not doing what people really want and actually not do what they want knowing this, and b) that the other two happened to be brought up.

Now I could be wrong or over speculating, but it just seems odd considering how it all played out.

Oh, and there's the fact that GBA games are on the Wii U and making it where Wii U is the only system to play a game with such a cult fanbase would be a great way to sell systems even if it's not that many.
