That being said, why must both Laurel and the other girl be such bland characters? It's not like all the female characters on these shows are terrible (especially not felicity), but it seems like they really don't want you to care about the main love interest.

I'm not caught up on Arrow (stopped near the end of season 1), so Iunno how the characters are now. My biggest problem with the show so far though is that besides Felicity, every female character is hooooorrible. It's like none of them are their own characters; their lives completely revolve around Oliver and furthering his character. And they seem to be suffering from the oddest mood swings ever, constantly switching (sometimes between scenes) from loving Oliver and being so glad he's back to hating and blaming him for everything. I've heard they get better, but right now, they all are poorly-written annoyances.

Also LAD, Atlantis is even less intimidating now. They put up a big wall between the comic section and gaming section, so you can go in there and look at comics all you want with little worry of even seeing another person in that section half the time. Also I've gotten a lot of help from the workers on ordering comics and stuff like that, so is definitely give it a shot again if I were you

That's cool, Iunno if/when I'll ever go though.

@LAD: Sara (Black Canary) ends up being a cool character. At the very least she and Ollie have chemistry.

@Cal: Well if you want dark(er) Flash, then you should like the midseason. It's not Arrow-dark, but it's less lighthearted.

Funny thing is, Laurel and Thea are like the only female on Arrow right now that isn't relationship motivated. I actually feel like the writers only know how to make females on the show have motives because of family or relationships.

It's so weird though, because AoS has such a strong cast of females. I mean, yes it is easier to give motivations when you can sum it up to doing it because it's their jobs, but even then they manage to make it more than that. I also like the fact that the show isn't relationship heavy. So far, we've seen only 3 actual relationships (one of them being strictly sexual, and one only lasting an episode in order to address the Avengers, and the other being ex husband and wife), two potential relationships, and a little bit of flirtation.

Already by Season 3 of Arrow, we've seen Oliver in how many relationships? Despite him saying he changed. Like literally one minute he told Laurel he changed and wasn't the same person, then he was sleeping with her sister again. But then again this is CW, but that also makes me wonder why the female characters aren't more independent on a majority female station.

Yeah, it seems to be Arrow's problems can basically be summed up as "It's a CW show." Makes me really worried for their Young Justice show, since it's being promoted as a "teen drama/romance".

Also, gonna assume that the ones in charge at The CW are not female and/or think all their female audience wants is cheaply-made young adult romance mixed in with the buff guy being shirtless at least once an episode.

Wait, when are they making a Young Justice show? I know TNT is ordering a Teen Titans show.

Huh, I never heard of that. I dunno, that article's pretty old and they haven't announced anything about it.

And yeah, I am so hyped for Titans, if only to see my favorite character, Nightwing, on the screen FINALLY.

I've never really been much of a fan of Robin, but Nightwing seems cool. Also, Starfire and Raven, eeeeee!

Only ever read Tim Drake-era Teen Titans comics, so I really only know Dick from the movies and TV shows.

As Nightwing he's pretty awesome, and the when he took over as Batman (see Grant Morrison's Batman & Robin series and Scott Snyder's Black Mirror) was the best. The current Grayson series is also awesome.

Humble Bundle has a new Image Comics Bundle that I am considering getting. $18 or more gets you The Walking Dead Compendium 1 and Saga Book One, so if y'all have ever been interested in those, do it up. Also can get Sex Criminals Vol. 1 for paying above average (around $15, currently) which I already own and think is fantastic.

They're also handing out free issues of comics daily, so if you wanna try Sex Criminals before buying, issue 1 is available right now.

TNT's The Titans series has begun casting for the pilot. The pilot's script has revealed that it will feature Nightwing, Barbara Gordon (as Oracle, tho she's not named this in the script), Hawk, Dove, Raven, and Starfire.

Still super stoked for this series and RAVEN AND STARFIRE <333333
