Ubisoft clocked in at 15:42.21. Microsoft looking to win E3 right now. This is a code red.

I kid, pretty hyped about Xbox One stuff coming out and also this Unravel game. Siege and Division still look great. Everything else was trash. Let's go Sony, show me no games and FF15.

Nintendo better have good stuff up their sleeves cuz God knows they've got fuuuuck all right now. Starfox, Yoshi next week and... uh...

2015 is looking really weak for Sony and Nintendo right now. Very interested to see if there are any last minute announcements to add to the lineup this year. I'm expecting a Pokemon game, probably Pokemon Z or something similar, to continue printing money for the 3DS. I'm pretty satisfied with the Wii U lineup for now to be honest in terms of what's currently out and I sincerely doubt there's any game they've kept under wraps for this long that could actually be good and launch in 2015 - if they had a Metroid game slated for holiday 2015, we'd know about it by now, y'know.

Concerned about what Sony will do. I imagine they'll just conveniently forget to mention release dates as a big thing as (iirc) there are no big releases for them this year besides FF15 and there's no first party games this year. I get that they're in the lead right now but that's on console sales - they lose money per system sold still so they're relying on software selling to make their money back. It's why Nintendo still made money last year despite underwhelming system sales, y'know? Not really sure what Sony are going for in this financial plan of "let's make no fucking video games and then expect to make mad cash".

I wouldn't say nintendo doesn't have anything. They got Xenoblade, star fox, yoshi, and mario maker. They normally announce at least one game to be released by the end of the heat, even if it's something like Captain Toad.

Sony literally has nothing as fast as i know, not to mention they only have one game that could be considered a system seller at the moment. Yet somehow it still sells bucket loads.

Bungie has completely lost me. I'll buy the new dlc when they learn how to not fuck over their "loyal" customers.

Yeah still kinda confused as to how the PS4 is selling so well with zero video games but mish 2016 will be a good year for Sony. 2015? Not so much.

Xenoblade and StarFox are all I really care about. I mean, I'm going to buy Yoshi, of course, but it's out like next week over here. Not exactly a hype announcement. Mario Maker I wouldn't buy full price, same as Splatoon. Hell, back in 2008 I had an app on my computer called "Mario Maker" that did the same damn thing complete with world building (albeit much less professionally) and that was free seven years ago! As we all know I'm a biiit of a Nintendo fan but they really have to show some new stuff to stand a chance I think. They'll probably go the Sony route and set up for 2016 which honestly seems like a terrible idea to me but whatever. I mean games like Mario Maker realistically aren't going to sell systems whatsoever. At this point I dunno what even will, pretty sure every Nintendo fan who wants Nintendo games has at this point and there's plenty of casual games on the system that said casuals are just ignoring. Dudebro audience is the biggest by far and from my experiences interacting with dudebros in my class all year, they do not give a shit about any game without guns or football.

So basically yeah gaming is dead.

Not sure why everyone is hype for The Last Guardian? We just saw that, yeah, it exists. The "gameplay" we saw was not exactly brain bending. It'll be interesting to look out for in the future but as of right now, I'm skeptical. Highlights of Sony for me were Horizon which has an incredibly interesting game world along with gameplay I adore and obviously Final Fantasy 7 HD. I mean, after all, we are in REMAKE: THE GENERATION. They should have saved those and Last Guardian for towards the end - closing with Uncharted was fine (even with lulzy technical issues) but nooo one gave a shit about the Star Wars stuff. So, basically, despite Sony's conference being good at the time, there's literally only one new game that has me hyped. And it's not a 2015 release. Square Enix will come along tomorrow with KH3 and FF15 but in hindsight, Sony was underwhelming.

On the other hand, Microsoft showed backwards compatability and Xbox indie preview - with no charge for early access! One of the reasons I love Nintendo is hugely agreeing with how they "morally" handle their games (lack of DLC, backwards compatibility from the start and so on) but they're kind of tripping up with their announcement of supporting mobile gaming and Splatoon amiibo basically being day one DLC. I don't expect miracles from Microsoft overnight but with cool indie games like Cuphead, those announcements going in a great direction plus Tomb Raider this year, they may have another customer in me... especially as I'm going to uni and transferring my PC across countries is much harder than just bringing a box.

Oh, lastly, that Xbox Elite controller that looked so fucking amazing is a ridiculous $150. If this thing was somehow universal (yeah I know that wouldn't happen from an official Microsoft controller) then sign me the fuck up but as of right now, I don't have Windows 10 and I'm not spending anywhere near that much to play Tomb Raider slightly better.

The Shenmue shit pisses me off to be honest. Sony can spend money on exclusive content, but for an actual game on their system they get "us" to fund it. Im all for crowdfunding, but this is one of those abuse of powers things. Like, crowdfunding should be there fir those who need the funding. If the developers would've done it on their own, that's one thing, if they honestly didn't have the money. But sony doing jt during their e3 conference? That's a slap in the face to their consumers and to those who honestly need crowdfunding to back their game

That's because the Metroid game was shit.

That's not a Metroid game. That is a shooter with Metroid slapped on the box.

Stop the rampant fanboyism. Nintendo cannot be defended for taking a gigantic shit on their entire consumerbase.

Gigantic shit? This E3 they had Metroid, Animal Crossing, Zelda, Yoshi, Fire Emblem, Mario, Star Fox, Xenoblade. Just because its not exactly what people wanted, people get upset. The animal crossing and metroid game? Not what was expected, but that doesnt mean shit all over the games without even giving them a chance. This is the problem with anything Nintendo does. If they do something different then people flip shit. If they do they same things with their games people flip shit. They come out aith nee ips and no one buys them.

Nintendo already said that their e3 would focus on 2015. Almost every single game at their E3 conference will be out in at least one territory by the end of the year. Just because they didn't show off new games doesn't mean they didn't show off any games, their just games we've been waiting for. Like the comments online are completely dismissing the fact that people have been wanting to playbthese games for over a year now, but the minute nothing new was announced, they flipped.

The new Metroid game looks like a Metroid game. It just doesnt star Samus. Unless the game is complete crap, then don't write it off as its probably both a holdover game to whatever Retro is working on and also testing grounds for them to see how they could implement a multiplayer mode, whether the next game is for Wii U or not

I suppose for me, I'm disappointed that pretty much all of the games they showed wouldn't hold a candle to their former entries. A link game that has him be a cheerleader? Really? This instead of an amazing single player adventure I've come to adore from the cartoon link and realistic link. A metroid game like THAT instead of one similar to Prime? Mario Tennis, Maker, crossover, instead of a brand new adventure? It's just disappointing.

EDIT: it also feels like they still aren't giving a flying f**k about people who bought the Wii U... All the love is going to the 3DS which is fine in of itself, but there doesn't seem to be any thought about people wanting to play major franchise on Wii U.

In all seriousness of all the conferences I'd rate it

1. Microsoft
2. Nintendo
3. Sony

Somy ultimately had the most interesting games, but the only of them thats due by the end of the year is No Mans Sky, which is available on PC. The rest were just promises. Uncharted 4 would be a day 1 purchase, but I'm not going to buy a system just for it. Dreams looks and awesome and it probably is, ultimately the best game at their conference tbh. The Last Guardian is cool, but at this point there shouldn't be any praise considering how long its been in development. Horizon looks interesting, but its just another FPS, which is being made by a company that makes mediocre FPS games. Other than those games, it was just all timed exclusives. The same crap that made me stay away from Xbox. Made worse by the fact that unlike the 360, the PS4 didnt even have games to start with. They have two great games out and only a few more to come, none of which by the end of this year.

Nintendo didnt reveal much. Mostly 3ds games, but i think thats faor considering last year was Wii U focused and they still didn't even get better sales. A new Mario Tennis is welcome considering EA runs a monopoly on sports games and EA has left Nintendo. The Zelda games looks pretty cool considering how fun Four Swords was. Metroid could be a really fun game. Halo always had fun being played co op, so hopefully this game just has a story and Metroid style puzzles and we might get a pretty awesome game. Animal Crossing seems pointless considering theres already wii party u and mario party. More than anything I'm just glad to get release days on the games we've been waiting for. That's a bit of games coming out. The lack of 2016 games means the NX is most certainly coming out next year during the holidays. Any games before then for the Wii U will be revealed in directs or during TGS. I cant complain too much about the Wii U. Lack of Third party was going to happen when gamers don't want to buy waterdowned versions of games released on weaker systems. This means Zelda will either be the Wii Us swan song like Skyward Sword or it'll wind up on both systems like Twilight Princess.

Microsoft had the best conference, but ultimately still didn't have much great. Backwards compatibility was a great addition as it gives many people incentive to buy a one. People like me who never owned a 360 and people who dont want to upgrade. Sea of theives could be a good game. Halo obviously will be good. Gears of War seems like it has the chance to be better than the other ones especially with characters that aren't juiced on testosterone. Mods in Fallout 4? Makes it the definitive console edition, but also makes me hope that it'll be possible with all future betheseda rpgs, on Sony consoles also if technically possible.

All the conferences were mediocre to be honest. Sony was the only one to really show off anything new, but that's because if they didn't they would have anything to show off period. Ultimately Microsoft and Nintendo mainly showed off titles they revealed already, with Microsoft having the upperhand by not having as kuch info out there as nintendos upcoming games. Sony was pretty much just looking down the road. If they weren't still riding off hype then they would be doomed as the gaming side is the only thing keeping them afloat. My main worry is i can't see how hardware alone is going to keep them up as software is generally where profit is made.
