Star Wars: Shattered Galaxy

Episode I: Rise of Heroes

It has been over a hundred years, since former Jedi Master Hadrius Cul, the Black General, took the dissaffected and downtrodden, and massed them into the largest military force the galaxy had ever seen.

It has been over one hundred years, since the final battle of the Wave of Darkness hit Coruscant, and the skyline of the city planet was set ablaze. Since the Republic was shattered. Since every major, and most minor shipyards were destroyed. Since most of the galaxies armies and fleets were vanquished. Since a complex virus destroyed the galactic holonet.

It has been over one hundred years, since the Galaxy was shattered.

Today, a large empire, or alliance, of worlds might number half a dozen. Today, the largest fleets might near twenty five capital ships and two hundred fighters.

The Jedi and Sith, like all Force users, are despised or distrusted, through most of the galaxy. Yet they still exist, in small numbers. The hardy Mandalorians still thrive, damaged less from the great war than many others. Small pockets of what was once the Empire or the Republic exist, a few worlds here, claiming such a title, or a few there.

The galaxy has endured over one hundred years of darkness, with it's focus on survival, rather than war, or advancement. Ships have fallen to disrepair. Economies, now far more isolated, either thrive, or falter, based on local issues, rather than galactic.

A dark power is rising in the galaxy, hidden from the site of all, silent, and unknown.

The Galaxy has been shattered for far too long.......

Maz smiled, his knowledge of events being tested. "The other squadron of fighters arrived only yesterday, and, honoring the buyer's request, we have not done more than observe them from the outside. None of my people have ever seen them, and we have no clue it's capabilities. The Stealth-X's, however, I'm told are the modified variety used by the Republic's Fade Squadron, some hundred or so years ago. Less invisibility, more sensors, to allow for non-Jedi pilots."

D'Fyett turned to face Maz, somewhat suprised. "I thought the designs for those had never been disclosed?"

Maz shrugged. "Our mysterious buyer seems to have gotten a hold of them, somehow or another. As for the vessel's name? The Triumph was more than a mere Republic warship. She was the vessel that once commanded the infamous 1st Fleet, and was later dropped on the Senate building, as the forces of the Black General finished their dark work. Hard to have missed that, when deciding on a name for a vessel, I'd imagine."

The group wandered several halls, and took a single elevator, finally arriving on a less exposed bridge, more centrally located. It had familiar designs to the older Star Destroyer classes, as well as obvious similarities to Nadeshii designs, Chiss designs.....and numerous other designs. Seemingly just enough to keep an edge of familiarity to most major spacefaring races, yet maintain it's own unique individuality.

"As you may have noticed, this bridge is somewhat streamlined. As I said before, this vessel has the Force specific modifications, to require less crew. Each of you can check the basic schematics we dowloaded to you, for the specifics of how your individual designs would compare." He crossed the bridge, to the communications relay, and placed his hand on the panel, near the flashing light evident on it. "This is Admiral Kayashi, on the Triumph. go ahead."

Ra smiled amiably, still stretching, and cracking his neck, as he crossed the crowded cockpit to the comm station. "Thanks eva so much, Calin, ol' chap." Ra's accent had shifted, sounding almost like a bastardized Mandalorian accent, yet somehow different. He winked at Adam, and turned to face the comm station, a sly grin on his face, as he keyed in a specific frequency, and awaited a reply.

The reply came under a minute later, as if, even still, timing was.....everything.

"This is Admiral Kayashi, on the Triumph, go ahead."

"Ah, Admeerul. This is Arh Tsee. I have relayed my command codes, and am requesting docking permission. Please don't mind the means of mah arrival, our other transport had an encounter with some mercenaries, and we were forced to take what was available, to meet our timetable. Ah must say, howeva, Ah am anxious to see the ship, and what it can do." Ra leaned back in his chair, and sent the docking coordinates he recieved, to the nav computer, cutting the transmission without further talking.

He turned, to face his companions, as the much larger warship cam slowly into view. "My friends, behold, the Triumph. Did I somehow forget to mention we had a ship waiting for us at Kuat?"
