The site will be set up to read through like a book. How's this gonna work? You ask? For over a year and a half now, I've run a DC Heroes site, set up to run like a comic book company. We currently run 20+ issues, per 'month' (current set of issues?). Some of our series are closing out their 7th issue. Not always fast, but keeps things together. Each part of the story will be broken down into a chapter. A chapter will be one specific period of time. No preset length, but each topic in a chapter must be finished, before the next chapter can begin. You may not post for your character in more than one topic per chapter, unless the topics take place in the same general area. Even at hyperspace, travel between worlds takes time. Chapters will have at least 2 topics, and never more than 5. This may (but not likely) get adjusted, if our active membership climbs to say.....25+. At that time, I'll consider adding a couple to the list. Topics in a chapter must go to at least their second page....16+posts. Topics in a chapter must not go past 6 pages.....90 posts. This will keep topics to having some meaning, and prevent topics from getting too drawn out. If you're posting on page 6 of a topic....keep in mind, the 15th post on that page closes the topic.....so end your post at least somewhat cliff hanger-ish.....at any time, from post 16, to post 90, a topic can be ended. Check with staff first, before making the decision to end it yourself. Once all topics in a specific chapter are ended, they will be locked and moved by staff, to the appropriate past chapter sub forum. At this time, a new set of chapter topics may be begun. Not sure where to jump in? No where left to post while you wait for a chapter to end? We have forum games. We have a historical section. Please post in the waiting history section, as the staff may need to suggest alterations, to keep your history in line with the actual story. Creativity is not just allowed, but encouraged, however, there will be some limitations, so as not to disrupt the stories continuity. |

Every 3-5 chapters, based on story progression, there will be a major event topic, based on how fast the story is moving at the time. During that chapter, the number of topics will be limited to 3, including that topic, and that major topic will be allowed up to 10 pages, or 150 posts. |

Before creating a new topic, check with the staff first, to see if new topics are allowed at that point, how much estimated time remains, before the current chapter closes, what impact that topic might have on the story in general.... Also.....all topics must include 'Chapter (insert apporpriate number) ' in the subtitle area, for topic description, or they will be deleted. |
