Name: The Prise Home world: The Keywork Language: All Average Height: Varies Description: They used to be very much solid and bird like. They would be close to structure of a human in a sense standing upright and containing a similar reproductive system. There were many forms of them that resembled birds across the galaxy. When they became spirits they could retain any form wished but only in a ghostly visage. The Modern Prise now resemble humans more than a bird due to the hybrid breeding between Early Prise and other Humanoids. -Body- The Physical appearance of a Prise male is usually broad shoulders, trimmed fit, and strong build. They are known as workers, but most are built enough to do labor but not heavy muscles for great feats. They stay thin and trimmed so they are light on the ground and can travel swiftly due to their metabolisms. The Average Prise male can stand from 5"9 ft. to 6"8 ft when fully matured normally and has a set of broad wings grown from their shoulders that vary in wingspan. The Physical appearance Prise female is told to be a tempting exotic allure. They are dominant with their smooth and vibrantly pigmented skin (Colors vary) and voluptuous yet strong bodies. The women do work just as the men but they are more so fit for adapting to the environment and to give birth to children (Multiple times). Their bodies are rather curvy and sculpted due to their genetic traits and Enhanced Metabolism. The average height of Prise Female is 5”4 ft- 6”3 ft. when fully matured normally and has a set of broad wings grown from their shoulders that vary in wingspan. -Hair and Eyes- Prise hair and eyes are unique to them usually. Their hair is streaked with bits of white and blond sometimes. If statistics lie in group majority Prise have deep dark hair even if its blond or gray it is always dark, but it is unusually strong and soft. There is the exception as certain Prise genetically have light hair and very vibrant. Their eyes on the other hand are a product of their Force Energies. Every Prise is born with the haunting and alluring glow in their eyes (It is a light shine when in presence of light). It allows them night time vision usually and is one of the few things that give them away in the dark. The colors change pending but this trait is fueled by the force and their body instinctively trigger it. ![]() ^Ancient Prise ![]() ^Modern Prise Special Skills: Detailed Perception - Most Prise are trained when young to exercise detailed perception at all times, noticing to a terrifying degree minutiae that others miss. When combined with their analytical abilities, The users seem to be Mystical, capable of divining secrets in persons and circumstances that are invisible to everyone else. Slight differences in air currents or the design of a room will allow a user to detect hidden portals; variations in a person's voice and tiny reactions allow user to deeply understand a person's emotional state, and manipulate it. The upper levels take great deal of focus and training, but since the Prise are trained this virtually from birth Most are quite capable. There are few Masters and Experts however in the name as the Masters of this are deadly and most valued. Truthsaying - People trained as Truthsayers are able to detect whether someone is lying by detecting inflection and change in a subject's voice, observing and interpreting their body language and analyzing physical signs like pulse and heart rate. Such perception of someone else's veracity is an ability that all races have, in principle, but that requires extensive training to develop to the point of usefulness. The training of the Prise is very useful for developing this ability, but is not the only way. It is not a skill: It is the development of a latent talent. One describes the talent as "whenever I hear someone tell a lie, I want to turn my back on them." Truthsayers are used widely in politics and trade; the Royalty is never without one. Combined with Versatile Vocal Suasion, Truthsaying is also useful for interrogation and torture. Truthsayers have been known to be wrong or deceived, most often because they are facing another practitioner who has of course been trained to disguise the very signs the Truthsayer is analyzing. Versatile Vocal Suasion - Prise can be trained in the use of their Voice to compel obedience in listeners on a subconscious level. By controlling the subtleties of her voice, a Prise can directly address and thus issue commands to another person's unconscious mind in a way that the conscious mind is aware of, but is unable to resist. The Vocal Suasion can be specific to individual listeners, but it is applicable in group speaking as well. Those who seek to abuse this Skill have combined techniques of Force persuasion and affected many minds to their command. Multi-Think – Most Humanoids have the ability to practice Multi-Think, literally the simultaneous flow of several threads of consciousness at any given time; mental multitasking, as it were. The combination of Mult-Think with their analytical abilities and Blood-Mind are responsible for the frightening intelligence of the Prise. This Multi-Think can also be held with Blood-Mind. Weidega training and the Crystal Presence - The Prise develop their physical abilities as well as their mental abilities. A trained Practitioner has full control over each muscle in his/her body; this is called Weidega training. It allows them to bend the last joint in their little toe while remaining otherwise motionless, bend and contort their body in ways that most would consider impossible, or put a remarkable amount of force behind a physical blow. The mental part of Weidega is the precise control of the totality of nerves in the body. Unarmed attacks are part of the specialized martial art called the Crystal Presence, which incorporates the Weidega methods of optimized muscle control, which enable one to deliver powerful blows and to move with extreme precision and speed. The basic principle behind the Crystal Presence is that, as a master says, "My mind affects my reality." A user of the Crystal Presence has to know that the action he or she 'wants' to perform has already been performed. For example, to imagine oneself behind an opponent at the current moment in time; when trained well, this knowledge will place you at the spot desired. Internal organic-chemical control -Just as the Weidega allows the user to precisely control each muscle and nerve, they also have complete control over their internal organs and body chemistry. A user can completely control their breathing and heart rate to the degree that they can appear dead to most tests even after intense physical exertion. They can control their need for food and water to the extremes of hunger and thirst, and even commit suicide at will by simply stopping their hearts. Genetic Traits: Healing Properties – The Prise have healing properties that let their bodies repair themselves better and faster than normal compared to other humanoids. Master of healing and practitioners of the Force have learned to use the force to focus the cells in their body and increase the healing properties to amazing degrees. This also gives a disease Immunity to a certain extent. Extended Life – Due to their healing property aging slows rapidly at a certain age and the Prise retains youthfulness even when elderly. Their lifespan has never been truly measured and it is assumed that most Prise die of other causes before they can reach their Prime. Wings – Most Prise by the time they hit puberty gain wings that develop in their back. It is not uncommon however for certain Prise to not gain their wings until late adulthood. However some have been seen mostly those who are of other mixed races will not gain their wings at all. The wings size, color, shape all vary to the person and their bloodline. Enhanced Metabolism – Prise have a hyper metabolism in the sense and keep pretty much thin and can eat vast quantities without enlarging. This is a genetic fail safe some suspect so that a Prise is always capable of fighting. This is also makes it hard to put on weight if they needed it and have a slightly lesser fat insulation that other humanoids. Enhanced Hearing - They have the hearing of birds and can locate with in certain ranges the most minute detail. Enhanced Vision - Prise posses clearer vision and can see farther than a normal human. Night Vision - A trait combined with the force that allows a Prise to see in the dark, and is usually noted by the bright glowing of their Iris. Avian Speech - The ability to speak to birds and animals with similar vocal (Certain flying reptiles, or certain reptiles in general that branch their roots to birds or from birds.) characteristics in speech. Enhanced Vocal Versatility - A Prise has the ability to bend their voices to amazing degrees. At times some Prise obtain a most otherworldly aspect due to this. No range is too high or low for them, and some can consider the Prise to be some of the very best singers. Their voice also proves to be an effective device influence also making them powerful and touching speakers able to exact the emotion into words. Blood-Mind - One of the 'abilities' of a Prise that has chosen blood (Mainly the Crow family) is their Blood-Mind: the combined ego and memories of all their ancestors, passed on through genetic memory of the midichlorians, and thus, up to the point where each following ancestor was born and the physical contact with the mother broken. The ego/memory combination remains a distinct identity within the Prise’s mind, and is able to inject itself into their awareness at appropriate or emotional moments, though the Prise ego is always dominant. This is not common and is not too rare to be a myth. It has been in great extents assumed Avan Exellius had the Blood Mind. Prise Bond - The ability to sense eternal bond all those who carry the Prise blood posses. This is a rare trait that gives the Prise in who has inherited to have a direct affinity to his people. This ability is not quite understood as even without force a Prise will know a person who has Prise heritage when they see them. Weaknesses: Addiction to Krael - Some Prise are dependent on Krael to give them their enhanced abilities. Any person who consumes Krael Obsessively becomes addicted to it and requires it for survival. Though the effects of Krael are highly favorable, including a slightly increased lifespan and mental strength, it is an addiction. Withdrawal causes death and individual Prise are vulnerable to isolation and being without the resources. This is only to certain Krae; though as each type has a various effect and may not lie in addiction. To be safe the only safe variation of Krael is the Medically prescribed Tablets that have been manufactured to be safe. as others hold great risk of being very addictive. Extreme Exhaustion - The Prise ways and abilities to push themselves beyond natural bounds have the effect of being able to leave the Completely Physically paralyzed for a long time. It has also been known that it causes their bodies senses to die off if one is not completely prepared for the skills they use. Dauhti - A person with access to Blood-Mind who has not developed a sufficiently strong ego will become possessed by a strong ancestral ego. When the mother is pregnant and the Fetus’s awareness begin to awake early there is danger. Since the fetus has no ego of its own, it is especially susceptible to being overcome by one of these ego-personalities. This is called "Dauhtis" by the priests (Which literally means living dead), and Dauhtis are always killed immediately when proof has been seen as the child is living in torture and un-preventable or irreversible madness in their later lives. Government: Since the beginning the prise have been a Matriarchal Society always fighting for the greater good and whatever could expand their knowledge. It has bounced from an Empire in days of prosperity to a simple kingdom when it dwindles, so the rank Queen or Empress were one and the same, but it would coincide with the era. Their government was heavily influenced by their beliefs and their idol the Force Entity they call the All Mother Phoenix. their society is based upon the gain of knowledge and working to create devices and solving mysteries to make life Universally happy for everyone. However though they may be peaceful they are quite exact with their rules and punishments which you would not want to try. The Empress/Queen has exact rule, but she adheres also to the wisdom and combine forces of Her Grand Priest, High Chancellor of the Senate, Commander and chief of the Army, and her Spiritual Adviser. Though the Empress can order however she wills if the lesser officials disagree a debate will be made until the decisions is dropped or accommodated. [/color] Common Equipment and Items of the Prise: Krael: The Krael, one of the major alluring substances to the Prise is found in the deep sands and caverns of the Desert planets of Cyr and Inu. This substance is a dark maroon substance that is hard as a rock. It has a burning sweetness that in the same time sends a cool breeze through your body. It is hard to explain what it feels like, but first timers say it is like being reborn and it has been very addictive to those who have over used it. Due to its addictive qualities the Prise dull it and apply it to medical supplies. It has been shown in a safe dose (Where a portion of a Krael stone ground up and diluted) that the Krael will increase the healing of the body and wounds of the Prise. The main effects of Krael are highly favorable, including vastly increased lifespan and mental strength. However not all Krael is the same and there are other types of spice. Even if Addictive the other benefits are amazing as they have proven to heal loss of eyesight from the vision impaired, but not completely cure blindness. It allows people to hear to perfection, and feel unabridged (Thus also stated to being an aphrodisiac). It puts the senses to the next level and clears your mind for a deeper understanding and heightens the awareness. Krael being what it is has been highly treasured by the Prise being a main cure illness. It is considered a miracle stone and subtance, and they curious how it is created. It assumed the extreme heat and pressure against Cyr and Inu's Minerals under the desert cause this amalgamation. The Prise Manufacture the Spice in three forms.
Gossanium - Scavenged from Necrova (Colonized Planet) it is a glasslike in appearance and very light but a super durable metal. An Amazing substance used in the Prise Society. Chakuni Blade: A ritual dagger formed by the Prise who use their blood in the process of forming the dagger within a molted Gossanium. For reasons unknown the ritual of making these weapons grants it strength to withstand great trials and are nigh unbreakable to those who have tried. These are ceremonial daggers used as a sign of a Prise warrior’s life and faith. Its physical features are noted being a crimson glass like metal which blade is curved and sharp. Rite of Ash and Flame: A royal scimitar that has no special properties but is a symbol of the Il-Dal royal Family. It is made of a gold and purple metal hilt formed in the shape of a phoenix in which at the bottom there is a symbol of a wing spread Crow known as the sign of the Prise Empire. The blade of the Scimitar is etched with the binding words of the people in the Ruinic symbols of the Prise saying, "Our skin is not our own, the flames will shape us. Fear is the mind Breaker, and with faith it shall pass through us. Our way is the way of the All Mother, Thus we are. Strength and Wisdom be with us." Second Skin: This cured leather from sand serpents that is formed into a protective garment around the Prise and used to protect them from harsh sands of Cyr and Inu. It is known to be fireproof due to withstanding burning points to certain objects within the desert. This is used by the Miners. Ceremonial Scepter – Ivory white scepter covered in gems and curled at the top in the shape of a Sleeping Phoenix. It is used by priests as a symbol of their faith and lineage. Used in rituals and such. [/color] Faith and Beliefs: The Prise worship a being known as the All Mother their Goddess, and the her two Children Aimal and Dokra. Though they worship they worship a Goddess it is understandably a powerful Force Entity that has learned to create life, and gained an emotional tie to the Force and all Life. Through the belief of the Higher being the All mother the Prise are taught the aspects of the force and Embrace them. While no midway in the force (No gray) the Prise become factioned in their alignment in the force, but instead of letting differences sway them they take their diverse ideals and seek to progress their knowledge of the universe. The All Mother is represented as a Phoenix who's flames purify and bring joy, and her Ashes give birth. It is said that they were born of the Birds of the Land when the All Mother graced their presence and gifted them new lives. In the beginning all prospered but rivalry began to tear them apart as no man among them was worthy enough to rule. The Phoenix feeling the strife of her people descended among them and in great display set her self ablaze telling her people, "My sacrifice is a sign of my love and through my death shall be rebirth. My daughter shall lead you till my return... for only those who can birth the lineage of Ashes shall lead. Do not judge them to harshly, for they shall know more pain and suffering than all of you shall ever." In her ashes two women of blackened wings arose declaring them he purified aspects of the Force and Queens of the Prise. Aimal was the holy virgin a symbol of light and prosperity, and Dokra was the mother of many a symbol of passion and power. Through Dokra's bloodline the Crows were born. Aimal and Dokra when their mother Returned joined her Transcendence becoming one with the force to guide the people. In this was the lesson of death as a transcendence where no Prise should fear. Through the Crow line the royal families were selected and given power to rule and care over the meek. Women would hold the most important tasks as their bodies were most sacred and worshiped for their gift of life. Men though not shunned were given lower tasks and rarely ever achieved a seat of absolute rule. It was also said when the Prise would fall apart once more in absence of the All Mothers true children that she would inherit a chosen host who would give birth to a true ruler once more and the lost shall be saved once more. Due to this divine belief they hold rituals and customs. Women have an upper hand this society and men though not treated unfairly have some disadvantages. Faith was important and they did not pray through words, but instead their whole text is one of the most grandiose lyrical achievements to exist. Their prayers were spoken through chorus and verse and sang outwards. Most know these melodies as hymns and in the days of the Old Republic became Lullabies, but lost all their meaning to others. Government and Church are based upon Five fundamental values.
Most of the old ways have been reformed in the recent days despite male rule prior and the Male society having some former dominance. Faith is at its galactic peek as even other races (though few) adapt to the Prise versatile and simple beliefs. [/color] History: The Prise were among the first Forceusers. They were powerful and bore wings and feathers some what like birds.When humans dawned in the waking universe some prise took it upon themselves to teach these inferior beings. In the end to much chaos and conflict occurred from those actions. Becoming more powerful th Prise created a hive mind and transcended from the earthly physical becoming one with the force. These beings now bodiless were not powerless, but refrained from interacting with the universe except with those who shared their lineage. These humans bearing wings and high sensitivity to the force were never named, but watched closely by the prise. Most never made it through birth, but few survived passing down the gift. These Prise are eternal and will not interact with the world in which they roam in their ghostly visage. They were forever lost their name they hoped never to be spoken these solitary beings will do what must be done to preserve their earthly secrets. Like the force there are those of the Prise believing the dark path, and those the path of light. The Prise forever forgotten still exist watching the moment of all living things. They know alot about virtually everything, but an Ancient Prise once stated, "To know everything is the truest madness you can hold....... The end it would bring so secrets are best kept secrets." They can virtually do whatever they would wish, but they want to stay in solitude watching the world grow and change. The humans holding their blood will always eventually bear wings and have premonition to an extent. Sometimes it is barely even noticeable. The humans are considered humans just that of a higher caliber having a special gift. After the Empires fall before the old Republic the surviving family of the Crow Jesse and Vincent were founded. Through Jesse's son Apollo who he gave the surname Exellius to hide him was the last of the Old republic. Apollo started the beginning of the Prise rebirth. Apollo's son Tesa'can oblivious brought salvation with his own Prodigy Avan and Veskin Exellius. Veskin and Apollo would be the originators of the New Prise Kingdom (Now Empire), but at their death Avan brought them to prosperity once more and his children continue to lead the way. The Current Empress Orin is high in command. Terms & Phrases: “Let us drink the sands.” - This is a Holy term meaning basically means let us drink Spice (Diluted) in the daily service of the faith. “I will have your ash.” – A slang threat to someone saying you will have their life because ash is life. “Don your skin.” -Means put on your mining equipment. A Miner’s slang. “Do not utter blasphemy, let fire pour from your veins.” -A saying meaning to not defy your faith but instead die in the name of it. “Your mind is overly spiced.” -Simply saying you are a fool, or lack intelligence, or better you are mad and in sane. “Ride the storm and man the wind.” -Move out surround, “Herd the cattle north.” -They refer to the trespassers as cattle and it is saying lure them like cattle to the certain direction. “Ash and Flames are honorable.” -Life and power is honorable “May your rivers flow you to the skies once more.” -Kind way of saying please return. “Where there be flame you are not welcomed now leave before ash is spilled.” -A way of saying you are welcomed and turn back. “Praise the Avan, may his spirit guide you.” -They are saying it is destiny by their god and an idol that you have come or done what has been done. "May the All Mothers Flames guide your way." "And may her ashes keep you warm." - A customary way of saying goodbye and farewell. "Burn the Skies." - Seize the day. “Jekatulu swine!” -A curse phrase upon someone. “Burning skies!” –An exclamation of excitement. "Feathers and Ashes!" - An exclamation of shock.
