Star Wars: Shattered Galaxy

Episode I: Rise of Heroes

It has been over a hundred years, since former Jedi Master Hadrius Cul, the Black General, took the dissaffected and downtrodden, and massed them into the largest military force the galaxy had ever seen.

It has been over one hundred years, since the final battle of the Wave of Darkness hit Coruscant, and the skyline of the city planet was set ablaze. Since the Republic was shattered. Since every major, and most minor shipyards were destroyed. Since most of the galaxies armies and fleets were vanquished. Since a complex virus destroyed the galactic holonet.

It has been over one hundred years, since the Galaxy was shattered.

Today, a large empire, or alliance, of worlds might number half a dozen. Today, the largest fleets might near twenty five capital ships and two hundred fighters.

The Jedi and Sith, like all Force users, are despised or distrusted, through most of the galaxy. Yet they still exist, in small numbers. The hardy Mandalorians still thrive, damaged less from the great war than many others. Small pockets of what was once the Empire or the Republic exist, a few worlds here, claiming such a title, or a few there.

The galaxy has endured over one hundred years of darkness, with it's focus on survival, rather than war, or advancement. Ships have fallen to disrepair. Economies, now far more isolated, either thrive, or falter, based on local issues, rather than galactic.

A dark power is rising in the galaxy, hidden from the site of all, silent, and unknown.

The Galaxy has been shattered for far too long.......

~Galactic Holonet History Feed, Archived Biography, 1049 ABY~

"Hadrius Cul.

It is a name that even a thousand years after the man was last seen by most of the galaxy, brings strong emotions to the minds of many."

A tall man, just beginning to show the first touches of grey, dressed in scholarly robes, stroked his chin gently. His deep blue eyes sparkled, and he smiled.

"How is it, that this one name, can still carry such weight? Who was this man? What things drove him to the incredibly heights, and horrible depths, that his life's path took? I am Ah-Tur Valentine. And I am here today, to guide you through a comprehensive accounting, of the life of this man, from his dual lineages, to his life in the Force, to the rise, and fall, of the Black General. But we will not end our story there, for what many have never known, for certain, until now, is that Hadrius Cul lived on, long after the shattering of the galactic system."

The man waved behind him, as holographic scenes from the biography begin to flash past. "Using some of the journal entries we have, of both Hadrius, and those who knew him, as well as logs from the Cul Holocron itself, we've added live feeds, and largely verified accountings, to reproduce the most accurate biography ever produced, of Hadrius Cul."

<OOC- At points, this biography topic will be open for co-writers, either in live sequence segments, or journal entries relevant to certain times, from people who new Haddy. Talk to me, if you're interested in contributing.>

A number of images flashed through the holo-vid. Numerous different people, and the varius stages of Hadrius himself. The sequence came to a stop with one of the most famous images.

Hadrius Cul, the awe inspiring Black General, as he strode into the massive chamber of the Galactic Senate. His gold trimmed black armor and robes shimmering in the light. His dark brown hair waving in an unseen wind. An unnatural red light trailing from his eyes, almost like mist. And the Twin Cul Blades, crackling their sinister red, each engulfed in ebony lightning.

The moment before the galaxy was shattered.

Ah-Tur came back into view, nodding slowly. "Even a thousand years later, that image retains it's potency. It's fire. It's pure passion and energy."

The terrain around Ah-Tur bagen to blur, almost like a hyperspace jump, as the scholar continued. "To begin to understand the man, we must first understand his roots. You see, Hadrius comes from not one, but two, bloodlines, both strong in the Force, and both bound to incredible destiny.....and desperate tragedy, also."

"The story of the Cul bloodline begins some five thousand years ago. Deep into the reign of the Old Republic. And, ironically, the first known member of the Cul line, is reffered to, as Hadrius, the Elder."

The imagery shifts, to the jungle moon, Dxun, and Ah-Tur fades from view.

"Hadrius was a young Jedi Knight, when a pair of Jedi, acting directly against the Council's wishes, lead numerous Jedi off to war, to aid the Republic against the threat of Mandalorian invasion."

Hadrius the Elder comes slowly into view, in the teeming rain of the jungle moon. He is flanked by Republic soldiers, and two other Jedi. He wields a single blue saber, and his eyes are set, determined. They are entrenched behind cover, partway up a long, steep path, carved into the side of a small mountain, at the base of a range of similar mountains.

Ah-Tur's voice narrates, as the image's own noises begin to slowly rise. "Dxun was among the bloodiest, and longest, battles, of the war. The Republic had been on planet for several months already, by the time Revan's Jedi arrived, to aid them. But the Mandalorians were well entrenched, up in their mountain strongholds. Even the addition of Jedi forces didn't sway the tide of battle. Not, that is, until Revan made a bold choice. He ordered a series of relentless offensives, spearheaded by Jedi and veteran troops, Revan attacked from every direction possible. Most of these attacks took brutal numbers of casualties. Soldier, and Jedi, alike. Hadrius the Elder, was the second in command of one such spearhead, having distinguished himself in earlier battles. This would be a defining moment, that would have great impact on much of what was to come...."

The sounds of blasterfire, screams from the wounded, and yelling from both sides of the battle, grows louder, as the focus zooms on Hadrius and his immediete allies....

<OOC- This section of the story will involve maybe 6-10 posts, describing the brutality of the Dxun battles, and highlighting what one man, or some people, took from the battle. Left an opening for at least 2 Jedi, numerous Republic, and Mandalorian soldiers. PM me, or otherwise contact me, if you're interested in writing.>
