It was quiet on the hall, but that was by design. It was a school day, and everyone was in classes or at lunch, or supposed to be at lunch and instead lost during a class. Any and all of these suited Lance's purposes that day, though, because his purposes were simply to be left alone.

He looked around his room, a neutral expression on his face. The walls were bare; he'd arrived at the school without any posters or other mountings to spice the place up with. The top of his dresser was bare; he had no pictures or awards to display, and frankly no memories worth displaying even if he did have pictures. The bed was made, the floor was clean, and the curtains closed. Were it not for the fact that Lance was in the room and his name was on the door, you wouldn't believe that anyone lived there.

Walking over to his bed, Lance reached under it and pulled out an acoustic guitar case, his one true possession, and removed the guitar from within almost reverently. For a moment he ran his fingers along it, almost letting himself go back to the moment he got it, but stopped himself at the last minute. Setting the guitar gently on his bed, Lance then retrieved the wine he'd smuggled into the school and popped the cork. He set it on his nightstand to breath, picked up his guitar, and started strumming.

Mora felt antsy today, she hadn't really seen Lance at all day and she felt a bit worried. Maybe he was having a bad day. So she went back to her room and drew a little something. It was a moving picture of a cartoon girl that smiled and said "You're not alone if you want to talk." the picture moved like a gif. A few black hearts floated around around the cartoons head.

She sneaked down his hall and was about to knock on the door when she heard the guitar. For a few minutes she stood there and listened before very lightly knocking on the door. She almost hoped that he wouldn't hear it.

Lance froze. Was that...? He could have sworn he heard a knock on his door. But who would have skipped out of classes just to come and knock on his door so soft--Mora. Of course, it was obvious. For a second, Lance watched his door. Should he answer? He hadn't planned on company today. In fact, he had planned on avoiding company. That was the entire purpose of stashing himself away in here, the only place on campus he had been certain no one would be for at least a few more hours.

On the other hand... this was Mora. She was obviously interested in him (painfully obviously, even), but lacked the gumption to actually approach him outside of those little cards she'd been "secretly" leaving for him for the past few weeks. She was cute enough, he guessed, in her own "please don't look at me" way. And having someone like her in his corner would definitely have its benefits.

Finally, Lance gently placed his guitar aside and went up to his door and opened it. "Need something, Mora?"

Mora was just about to tape the card there when the door opened. She jumped, "O-oh! S-sorry... about bothering you." she didn't look him in the eye, "I uh...." her voice went a little quiet, "I heard you playing. Um... and I was going to..." she held up the piece of paper, "Well... it doesn't matter. Um... I haven't seen you in class so I... I wanted to make sure you were okay." her cheeks burned and she was getting more flustered, "I mean of course y-you're okay but like..." she stopped herself from rambling on any further, "Sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you." she bit her lip and looked toward the ground.

Lance studied her for a moment, then looked over at the card she had been about to tape to his door. His face remained impassive as he eyed the magic-GIF animation, then looked back up at Mora and opened the door wider. "Want to come in?"

Mora got more nervous, "I...I umm... sure." she walked into his room. She glanced over the bare walls and then to his guitar. "H-How long have you played?"

Lance watched Mora enter, then closed the door behind her. Ignoring her question he gestured to the open wine bottle. "Want a drink? I have some glasses."

She looked to the bottle, "Y-yeah, sure. That was from the... tree people, right?" she bit her lip, she couldn't even remember the name for those people were. Then she remembered that she was in Lance's room and it seemed like she started shaking just a little. She looked down and fidgeted with the ends of her skirt.

Lance produced two wine glasses from... somewhere... and proceeded to pour the wine. He handed Mora one of the glasses, face still largely impassive, before having a seat. "So... you came by to check on me? Why?"

Mora almost dropped her glass when he asked, "Uhh... well... I..." she stopped for a long moment to think about what she was going to say, "I mean..." she glanced between him and the floor before taking a drink, "W-well people don't just skip classes for unless they are sick or maybe not feeling completely okay... I mean maybe sometimes people do... um..." she took another drink. Why am I embarrassing myself so much!?
