Okay I just got home, can someone give me the jump start edition of this challenge to quickly catch up before we begin? |

There's 40 min before we start, Aria. You have time to read it all. |

It seems not bad. Essentially its a maze, and the only way to complete the maze is by using EACH predefined movement ONCE. The predefined movements are those letters we describe. The can only be one order of the movements. Once we know that order, we line up the letters of each movement and that is a password to the subforum in the challenge area. We must post a picture from that. |

Okay, so does anyone in particular want to be the one to grab the maze? I'm willing to do so, I have all the tools necessary to draw paths and such. Also, before we start, everyone should have the robotics subforum open in a tab so they can input the password as quick as possible. No reason to have only 1 person do it, fastest gun wins it. I double-checked all of Buffy's work - the last thing we want is a typo or fluke accident. It's solid. |

Read, but comprehend is an entirely different matter. I just read it all and I think I understand? We just have to get the robot from point A to point B by using commands and the commands that get us from point A to point B spell a word that will be used to unlock a forum? That's what I've got so far, dunno where to go from there though. |

You know what, I'll just be the one to start our timer when we go. It's just easiest to have someone who's done challenges like this before. Reduce the chance of any mistakes that cost us time. I'll be starting a new thread for the challenge as soon as I get the maze. I'll post the maze, and all the path segments that buffy made in the first post, so that we have the information on every page easily. That sound good to everyone? |

Okay I think I get how all of this words after reading through two times (sorry I'm slow ). I think that sounds good Mags. Good job Buffy on working those out. I'm going to try and read through them. Do we know how long the actual word that unlocks the forum is? |

it will be 19 characters, all caps, and each character is a letter from A to S, with no repeats. Also we've been told that the last letter is definitely S. Remember that the password unlocks the subforum, and there's supposed to be an image in there. We need to find it and post it in this tribe forum as fast as we can. That stops our time and then we're done. |

That sounds good, Mags. I'm not sure what format we may see with the challenge or how things are presented so I'm happy with you grabbing it! I'm probably not the best (but I will be working my darndest, I promise). Would it be a good idea for us all to have image editing software open? Just so we can all try our best to be looking at the maze. |

I think it's going to be important if we start to figure out some of the words or whatever this is that there's no harm in having someone try random combinations of letters to see if we get lucky as well. I mean obviously don't waste a bunch of time trying to get lucky, but if all 7ish of us are working on the puzzle, it may not be the worst thing in the world to have someone just trying things. |

Maybe this was said and I missed it, but shouldn't we start with S at the end and work backward? |

That might not be a bad idea, Regina. Really throwing S in at the end right away just gives us a new finish point and one less command. |

I don't think it's necessarily a word, but a string of letters. I could be wrong though? |

My impression was just a string of letters. They emphasized that there are trillions of combinations too. |
