[Date Kagemune] [Evening] [Nagaoka fields] Blue banners were smeared with red as the screams of the fallen could be heard, pleading for salvation or a swift end, Iron and steel clashing as Ashigaru spearmen charged into each other from both sides, the opposing side fielding black armor and a deep purple banner. Bishamonten's bannerman, Uesegi Kenshin stood atop his horse in the distance on the hilltop, Several archers flanked either side of him, drawing their Yumi's as they prepared to loose several hundred arrows at the forces of Oshu below, Towards my guard detachment, Towards me. I split my opponent in two with a single strike from my dragon's right claw ( Sword ), pausing only as I noticed the archers above taking aim. I raised my sword just as they loosed their arrows and with a single mighty downward thrust, the resultant gust of wind threw the arrows asunder, scattering them into the ground nearby. The faces of the Uesegi above took a different appearance, This time, they appeared unnerved by their futile attempts. The opposing Yari spearmen whom witnessed this began to lose ground due to the shock of the sight. A more heavily armored opponent, A samurai no doubt began to charge through the line, making his way towards me, his sword drawn. Just as the man began to strike, I swatted his blade to the side with my left gauntlet and then drove my sword halfway through his neck, forcing him to the ground in a crimson spray. There appeared to be no end to it, for the time being. |

Kouta's brow furrows as the sounds of battle and bloodshed reach his ears. Kicking his horse into gear, the swordsman rides through the forestation until he reaches the outskirts of the open field. "Heavens above.." He would say, watching the warfare rage on before him. Being the only one in the area dressed in Shimazu green, he decided to keep his presence hidden, in order to avoid conflict. Hopping off of his horse, Hirada Kouta sneaks through the trees surrounding the field, drawing his ninjato in case of an ambush. Watching the battle closely, he decided to try and sneak around to the main Oushuu encampment in order to properly judge his best route of escape. |
