Malladion is Elria's largest continent, with the largest population and the most racially (and culturally) varied. It's dotted with everything from great forests, to the desert known as the Sea of Sand (indeed, some say there are more dunes than waves in the ocean). It's said to be where all humanoid life began, but there is no basis for this argument except that it's huge and varied. Devet'oroz This city-state is primarily dwarven, humans just as common and elves being the minority. Devet'oroz was founded by Clan Ninehammer, a dwarven clan that has had a lifespan of 5 centuries and formed by exiles of the Blackbanner and Stonefist clans. Devet'oroz was constructed as a dwarven stronghold but they had been influenced by human kingdoms, hence they made the stronghold of Devet'oroz fairly similar to your average human principality, save for architecture and... hierarchy, ruled solely by a council of elected advisors that serve 3 year terms and may be voted into the council again up to two times as a general (and loose, may be ignored depending on circumstance) rule. The dwarves work in the capital city as much as the next dwarven underground stronghold except more on the surface. How this exile clan became a kingdom has not been written as yet. Devet'oroz: The capital city, as already described. However the city is divided into Trade, Old Town, Residential, and Services districts. Trade District is simply where merchants gather and sell their wares, Old Town is a homage to the old architecture of the city (traditional dwarven architecture) and there are many kinds of services/housing available there, Residential is solely for living space, and Services offers non-trade services such as combat training, academies of magic, et cetera. |
