Hello, welcome to "TMI RP". I'm Chris, an Admin of the roleplay. I'll be walking you through the rules, and regulations, of the roleplay. Keep in mind, these rules are just the basic of the basic ones, meaning they are not the only ones of the roleplay. Just a heads up, the roleplay is emote, descriptive is both parties agree.
- ~Don’t godmod – The golden rule of any RPG. You should not be responsible for the actions of any other character. Because of the freedom we allow in our storylines here, you can control any NPCs that have been brought in by yourselves, but don’t start controlling other characters in your posts. This also extends to declaring hits or successful attacks on characters played by someone else.
- ~Don’t metagame – The ever-present companion to the first rule. Discussion between players is fine, but you shouldn’t introduce any OOC knowledge into your IC posts unless the character has a reason to know it. This also includes internal monologues that the other character might have done, that you read, but your character didn’t hear.
- ~Respect the staff – We are here to help you, and it becomes much more difficult to do so when we are being constantly badgered, or you are deliberately argumentative.
- ~No Double Accounts - Each player on the site is allowed to have only one account. If anyone is caught trying to gain more characters by creating additional accounts, they will be forced to choose one account. The other account, as well as all characters on it, will be deleted. In some cases, additional penalties may be applied.
- ~Use Common Sense - There are a number of things which aren't explicitly stated here, but really, it's just common sense. Don't spam topics that aren't meant to be spam; don't be racist, any of that stuff; be reasonable.
The first thing that you would be interested in is the character creation process. There is no limit to what we expect you to write, but it is encouraged that you take the time to develop the character as much as you can, so people reading your profile will have a good idea who they’re playing with.
- ~Plot – Our storyline is heavily influenced by the hit book series, "The Mortal Instruments". This is set during 2020, where, of course, the canon characters are no longer existant. The actors themselves, however, from the movie, can be used as "Face-claims", for your bio. There is a face-claim list that consists of taken face-claims, which cannot be used for other characters.
- ~Number of characters – Players may make up to 3 characters. There is, however, an option to "scoop" a character, which involves taking everything that they have earned and put it into another character. For more details, please see the Scooping thread.
