"Don't worry, son, I'll be fine!" Terry had said to his son before leaving his home off towards Malachite Town. He didn't know much about this region, so any opportunity to visit a new town was quite exciting for him. Also, he heard that there was a lot of nature in this town, so he obviously wanted to see it for himself. He must have not really noticed anything off about the area, because he clearly seemed eager to find the nearest patch of flowers. Terry was, awkwardly, hoping that he could perhaps find a new species of flowers. His Shaymin, who had been hiding in his backpack, peeked its head out, making a worried-like chirp. Terry looked over his shoulder and smiled at his Pokemon. "Now, c'mon, Poppy." He said with a reassuring tone to his voice. "It ain't like I'm bein' a criminal or anythin', no way someone would try t' do somethin'! I'm just lookin' fer some nice new flowers, or just fer anythin' t' look at. Imagine if we could find a new species here! Boy, what they'd say back home!" Poppy looked at Terry with a slight glare, before hiding back in Terry's bag. Terry knew, in the back of his head, that Poppy was going to eat the Pecha berries he stored in one of his inner backpack pouches. As Terry nearly lost himself in his thoughts about berries, his eyes spotted... A nice patch of roses! "Well, by golly, what'd I tell ya, Poppy." He said, more to himself than his beloved Pokemon, kneeling down at the flowers. His eyes glittered and he clasped his hands together, a small smile on his face. "Well, what a color!" He muttered, soon mumbling incoherently to himself as he tried to figure out the exact species of the rose. This was Terry at his happiest form. He absolutely loved flowers. He is so glad he went here. I sure hope nothing goes wrong. |

[AN=It's Team Arrow!] [AI=http://i.imgur.com/k2WKS2c.png] As Terry was inspecting the roses, the rustling of leaves interrupted the surrounding forest's quiet ambience. From a nearby bush stepped out a short man in a green and black tracksuit, who had a particular emblem over his heart. Anyone local to Albius would already know the man's affiliations, but a tourist may take longer to clue in. "Sniffin' the roses, are ya, mate?" he inquired, sloppily lapping up the ice cream cone in his left hand. A drip of blood began to run from the man's nose, but he quickly wiped it onto his right arm's sleeve. "I can relate. Always been a fan of these forests m'self. I grew up around 'ere, y'know?" As the man pelted Terry with idle chit-chat, two more similarly-dressed figures slowly emerged from the nearby foliage. "Lemme ask ya one thing, mate. You don't look like nobody who's ever been 'ere before. You a tourist or somethin'?" Edited by SkoomaAddict, Jan 12 2017, 01:45 AM.

Terry looked up, blinking a few times. Oh. Someone... he doesn't recognize. He stands up, and bows, almost apologetically. "I understand, darlin'." He says, smiling and tilting his head. "Th' forest and nature itself is, quite fantastic! Ah-- um... Is your nose alright?" He brings a hand to his face, a worried expression forming on his face. He stared for a while longer, as if thinking, before noticing the two people show up. He suddenly felt, very nervous. His heart sunk a little and he inhaled sharply, especially at the fact that he may or may not have just realized the big trouble he got himself into. He starts to play with the curls on his hair, fidgeting a bit where he stands. At the mention of 'tourist', he bites his lip. "A-Ah... T-Tourist... I wouldn't call it that. I ain't here fer a lil' temporary trip... I'm a... researcher. I found out about th' region and, uh, came here t' support someone and t' also do some research on th-this region and learn more 'bout the species that inhabit it. I-I wouldn't consider myself a tourist, though. Just a lil' new here! If ya don't want me t' be here, I will completely, and totally understand. I-I just came here t' sightsee 'n see th' flowers, in case of a new species..." |

[AN=It's Team Arrow!] [AI=http://i.imgur.com/k2WKS2c.png] The hooded man intially chuckled at Terry's anxious response, and took a big lick of the ice cream in his hand. "Yeh, my nose's fine, mate," he replied, another drop of blood running out of it seconds later. The man didn't seem to notice this time, until it dripped onto his frozen treat. With a disgusted sneer, he threw the ice cream to the ground, and grinded it into the dirt with his shoe. "Figures you aren't from around 'ere," the man continued, putting on a mischievous grin. "With the way you're all dressed up, it looks like ya came right from Kalos!" The man then burst into a loud fit of laughter, and the two individuals who came out of the woodwork earlier followed along. One of them was male, and dressed exactly like the man in front of Terry, while the other was female, and wore a lincoln green skirt with black leggings in place of track pants. It sounded like the man was doling out a mere jest, but the nature of the group's laughter did not suggest that they would be laughing with Terry in this situation. Four more voices could be heard laughing in the distance, as well, and that same number of people promptly emerged from the surrounding trees. In total, there were seven in this merry band: four men and three women. "I like yer scarf, mate," the shorter man then stated, stepping towards Terry with a swagger. "Where'd ya get it, eh? How much did it cost ya? I'd love m'self a scarf like that one. Maybe you could loan us all a few Pokédollars so me and my six fellows 'ere can get our own. I promise ya, we'll double your investment in no time." He then held his hand out to Terry, as if fully expecting him to comply. "Come on, now, we're good for it. Unlike you tourist folk, we don't 'ave a lot of money." |

Terry rubbed the back of his head. "W-Well, ain't from Kalos, but a fine guess there, darlin'." He muttered, rubbing his arm. Terry noticed all the people and, well, jeez. What did he get himself into. He literally just wanted to look at some nice roses. There's so many people here, he already started to feel like something was about to go horribly, horribly wrong. He thought to himself about the situation, and what usually happens when a literal gang shows up like this. They usually want to Pokemon battle, right? Well. Poppy was sure going to be smug about the fact that it was right all along. He also noted the extreme littering. So much for caring about the forest, huh? "Ah... Well, actually." He said, raising a finger, "This here scarf cost me nothin'. I won't tell ya how I got it, but, if yer goin' by th' theory that you want money to purchase my type o scarf, ya actually don't need any kind of money. Whatsoever. So y'all should be fine gettin' yerselves a scarf like this, so long as ya got yer manners with ya." Terry just kind of said that without actually thinking, as usual, but he kind of hopes that stops them from robbing him. It's not like he's lying or anything, it really didn't cost him anything. It was a gift from someone. ...He has probably made a mistake. |

For the Azeroth

After leaving Brightwell City, Grant decided to take a detour to Malachite City, against the good word of Professor Hawthorn. He had many options as to which gym he decided to go for next, but he thought it would be better to find a suitable Pokemon to make his final decision. To him, his best course of action would be to go after the Carnelian City Gym, and then go to Azureport. Though, getting to those two places would take a long time. Grant would need to find some faster transportation through some means or another; he's heard of the stories surrounding Alola, where certain Pokemon could be used to get from Point A to B, but not in Albius. Perhaps he could find a suitable Pokemon in the Malachite Forest? From foreign trainers hailing from Kalos, Gogoats provide a means of efficient transportation through all terrain, which could benefit Grant immensely. With that in mind, Grant travels into the Malachite Forest, dazzled by the change of scenery. However, despite beholding such a grand sight, something feels..off. As he feels himself getting closer to Malachite Town, the words of Professor Hawthorn echoes in Grant's psyche. Becoming more self-aware, the forest appears too desolate. Barely any Pokemon running amuck, and for the few Grant does see, they cower at his sight. Could something bigger be at play here? Determined to find a companion, Grant decides he needs to go deeper. |

[AN=It's Team Arrow!] [AI=http://i.imgur.com/k2WKS2c.png] "Heheh! So you're tellin' me I could 'ave myself a scarf like that for free, then? Is that it?" the man inquired with a chuckle, the grin on his face getting even wider than before. He then took another step forward, grabbing onto Terry's scarf before knocking him back with a fist to the face. "Don't mind if I do! Hahahah!" the man then exclaimed, bursting into another fit of mocking laughter. He then waved the scarf from side to side before wrapping it around his own neck. "It sure is nice, but my fellows are gonna get jealous if I'm the only one who's got a fancy scarf. I'll have to ask ya again, just one more time." The man then snapped his fingers with both hands. The gesture appeared to be a signal, as the other hooded individuals each took out a Poké Ball from one of their pockets. All of them pressing the button at once, six Beedrills suddenly appeared. The massive insects slowly closed in on Terry, clinking their drill-like appendages together as they began to glow with an orange aura. A pair of blue, glowing blades circled each of them for a brief moment, showing that they were all using Swords Dance. Meanwhile, the man held out a hand towards Terry once again, tapping his foot impatiently. "You'd better give us every last Pokédollar in your pockets, mate," he demanded. "Unless you'd like to head back to Kalos in a box, of course." |

"Eh? What's that sound?" Grant, who had been so focused on searching for Pokemon, suddenly became aware of his surroundings. Bunnelby, who had been at Grant's side, perked his ears up. In an instant, Bunnelby made alarming cries, pointing in the direction where Team Arrow, their six Beedril, and Terry was. Grant peaked around the brush, noticing the scuffle going down. "I see.. Are those the ruffians Professor Hawthorn said to avoid? Well, their uniform sure looks dated. That man looks like he's in trouble, but what's the best course of action to take here..?" For a moment, Grant contemplates, but then figures out what he needs to do. "Frogadier, I need you to blast up with Water Pulse, and Bunnelby, you follow up with Mud Shot right into Frogadier's attack!" Both proceed to use the combo attack, resulting in a clouded explosion. Grant beckons his Pokemon to follow him in, as he rushes on scene. With his limited vision, Grant heads over to Terry, pulling him up off the ground. "Hey, are you alright? These guys look too dangerous to fight on your own. Can you battle?" The distracting debris from the explosion subsides, revealing Grant next to Terry. "Well, so much for getting out of this situation unsighted. What are you lot doing, terrorizing people in the woods?" |

Terry felt all of this happen all to fast. One moment, he was trying to compromise with these folk, then next thing he knew, he was on the floor, on the brink of tears, feeling his neck as his scarf was gone. He felt almost hopeless, and he covered his face to actually hide tears. He wasn't sure what to do. He was also surrounded by Beedrill, which he would usually be excited about. "I-I..." He could barely speak, as he was choking up on his words. He rubbed his face and sniffed, acting like a child who just got beat up by the class-bully. He looked up after a moment, staring at him, but couldn't even keep eye contact for longer than three seconds, and he darted his gaze onto the grass. "I-I... d-don't..." Terry couldn't finish, because that was when the cloud of smoke came in, and Terry felt extremely overwhelmed, what with several things happening at once; he did his best to get back up, thanks to Grant's help, rubbing his eyes to wipe away tears. In the midst of this, his Shaymin had fallen out of his bag, and pawed at Terry's leg, in which where Terry eventually picked up his Pokemon, looking at the man who just saved him. He stared, eyes wide and tears slowly going down his face, gulping. "W-Why... I'm f-fine, sir... Thank ya kindly... T-They... I can battle, sir." He finally managed to stutter out, holding back another sob. He darted his gaze back to the ground. This was kind of embarrassing. With that, his Tropius got out of his Heal Ball (he never liked being in his ball for long) and noticed the situation. His Tropius, more known as Berry, rested his head atop of Terry's, letting out a gentle, almost-reassuring noise to help Terry calm down from the situation. He seemed to have noticed the missing scarf, as Berry lowered its head to nuzzle Terry's neck. Poppy, on the other hand, glared at one of the Beedrill to hiss at it. |

[AN=It's Team Arrow!] [AI=http://i.imgur.com/k2WKS2c.png] The merry band and their Beedrills, including the man who directed them, were briefly thrown into confusion by the sudden explosion. Once the smoke had cleared, they all turned back towards Terry, and by extension the stranger who intruded upon their robbery. The man in charge glared at the intervening stranger, giving him a contemptuous sneer. "What're you doin', tryin' to play the damn hero around 'ere?! Who do you think you are, eh?!" he retorted sharply before seemingly freezing up. Seconds later, the man took a deep breath and regained his composure. "If you got no idea what's goin' on, then you must be a tourist, too," he continued, putting on another fiendish grin. "See, this man 'ere made a dire mistake, stoppin' to sniff the roses in Arrow territory. Any local would know better than that. Just like how any local would know better than to step up to Team Arrow! Arrows, it's time to let loose!" Four of the six grunts then shouted out commands for their individual Beedrills, causing them to advance towards the pair of foreigners. Two of them flew towards Terry's Pokémon, their drills glowing purple as they attempted to hit Shaymin and Tropius each with Poison Jab. The others charged into Grant's Bunnelby and Frogadier, both of them repeatedly lunging at their targets with Fury Attack. Due to the Shaymin and Frogadier being faster Pokémon than Beedrill, however, they were both guaranteed the first strike. |
