Hate to say it but Piccolo Daimao would stomp here based on these two quotes:

Quote:

Chapter: 176, P9.3-6
Context: as Tenshinhan and Goku fight
Piccolo: “They’re fast! They’ve got considerable speed.”
Kuririn: “Amazing! They’re both putting up a completely even offensive and defense!”
Yamcha: “Yeah!”
Chi-Chi: “Huh? So you two…could both see that?”

Quote:

Chapter: 177, P1.2-4, P2.1
Tenshinhan: “Son, you are truly incredible. 3 years ago, your strength was all but perfect. I’m amazed that you’ve managed to go so far above even that. However, there’s one thing that you haven’t changed that much from 3 years ago. And that’s something especially important in battle…speed!”

Son Goku/Tenshinhan (Speed-wise) > Piccolo Daimao >>> Chichi

Well, that would only apply to Young Daimao, right? Not Old Daimao?

My fault. I misread the title... several times apparently.

I think she could beat Old Daimao. Common fan opinion these days is that 40% Young Piccolo Daimao > 100% Old Piccolo Daimao based on him wanting to become young before he tried taking over the world. I personally don't see a need to have Chichi less than even 40% of initial Tenshinhan considering she got farther into the tournament than Chaozu did.

The placement thing doesn't mean that much since Man-Wolf and Panputt made it farther than Chappa in the last Budokai. I'd assume she also isn't stronger than Yajirobe, as he was summoned to train for the Saiyans while she wasn't.

On-topic, based on Old Daimao 40% > Goku > Old Daimao pre-costume swap, I would assume Yajirobe would have well surpassed that if he actually bothered to enter the Budokai. No objections to Chichi beating him either.

I don't think Piccolo Daimao (young initial) must be stronger than Piccolo Daimao(old full power). I mean, Goku was able to take the Red Ribbon Army, so Piccolo Daimao Old would be able to do the same with the world, don't you think? Kuririn(?) said that even the Police could not do anything to Red Ribbon.

I don't think he needed to be young, but Daimao seemed to want to become young before attempting to take over the world IIRC.

He also told Son Goku that he was more powerful than before and then was impressed that Son figured out that he wasn't going all out yet. That might also imply that initial Young PD > hypothetical FP Old PD IMO.

He treated a world takeover as somewhat of a laughing matter, saying he doesn't need the Dragonballs for such a thing, so I think he wouldn't necessarily have needed to become young. But he did say he wants eternal youth to solidify his reign, and Piano claimed that he'd exhaust his life soon if he gave birth to Cymbal, so he probably wished to become young to prevent that.

That's weird. I remember p123 making a convincing argument that Daimao implied he needed to be young to conquer the world, but it seems you're right as there's no such quote in the Strength Checker.

Where do you place Old Daimao in comparison to Young Daimao then?

Water hax Goku >= FP young Daimao > Suppressed young Daimao > FP old Daimao > suppressed old Daimao > pre-hax Goku seems solid based on the arc's statements. PD acted surprised that Goku knew he wasn't giving it his all before he went full power, and we all know how arrogant he acted about getting stronger upon his rejuvenation. The rest writes itself.

I can agree with that. The display of how godly Son Goku (Post) was would seem underwhelming and not typical of how things usually go in DB if he was meant to be beating up a power less than the full power of the person who beat him up last time too.

Agreed; Piccolo Daimao Young ( initial ) > Piccolo Daimao Old ( Full Power ).
