The Eight Gates
First Gate: Gate of Opening
This gate forcefully releases the restraints of the user's brain on muscles, enabling usage of the 100% potential strength a human has as opposed to the limited 20% to protect the body from self harm.
Note: +1 Strength, +1 Speed (Caps at T4). Can train for Front Lotus. Full strength strikes yield considerable recoil; mitigated by durability/endurance.

Second Gate: Gate of Healing
This gate is also activated in the brain, tricking the user's body into feeling re-energised. This can allow a fighter to continue after being exhausted.
Note: User becomes immune to all forms of Genjutsu. Minor wounds will begin to heal quickly. Nullifies the feeling of exhaustion temporarily, even when their stamina is drained to a minimal amount, allowing the user to fight at full strength. User will become twice as exhausted post-use of this gate.

Third Gate: Gate of Life
This gate, located at the beginning of the spinal cord, reinforces it allowing for intensive aerodynamic movement. Stress is also put on the heart, increasing blood flow rapidly, causing the skin to turn red.
Note: +1 Dexterity (Caps at T4). Can train for Reverse Lotus.

Fourth Gate: Gate of Pain
This gate forcefully increases the user's strength at the risk of causing muscle tearing simply by being in the state. Veins are more defined on the body.
Note: +1 Strength, +1 Speed (Caps at T4).

Fifth Gate: Gate of Limit
This gate breaks the limit of human capability, tapping into power beyond humanly conceived strength, however becoming increasingly more risky to use if the body is not conditioned to the adverse effects. The body becomes superheated, warm to the touch and threatening to reach boiling point if used for too long.
Note: +1 Dexterity. Stat boosts in Gates now cap at T5.

Sixth Gate: Gate of View
This gate further amplifies the already immense strength of the user's body. The body's heat also begins to radiate from the body, physically affecting the surrounding environment.
Note: +1 Strength, +1 Speed (Caps at T5). Unlocks use of Morning Peacock.

Seventh Gate: Gate of Wonder
This gate forces the user's body into overdrive, increasing strength exponentially and hitting boiling point in heat. The body's sweat evaporates immediately, forming a blue aura around their person that can easily be mistaken for chakra.
Note: +1 Strength, +1 Speed, +1 Dexterity (Uncapped). Unlocks use of Daytime Tiger. After closing the gate, the user will become decommissioned due to the effects of the gate; muscle fibres being shredded, causing immense pain on even slight contact.

Eighth Gate: Gate of Death
This gate, located at the heart, requires the user to puncture their chest just above the heart in order to open it. Their aura changes from blue to a flaming red, blood evaporating, delivering severe burns just by being in proximity. This gate grants the user power beyond imagination, offering an individual with no fighting experience the ability to combat the Five Kage on their own.
Note: Strength, speed, and dexterity are multiplied 100x. Unlocks use of Evening Elephant and Night Guy. After closing the gate, the user will die.

Duration
The following table shows how many turns the user's HIGHEST gate may remain open based on letter grade. Any gate prior to their highest may be held so long as their stamina and endurance holds. Total duration is decreased by half in the Eighth Gate.

Techniques

Front Lotus
The user kicks their opponent into the air and then uses Shadow of the Dancing Leaf. Once behind their opponent, the user restrains them and pile-drives them into the ground head first while rotating at a ferocious speed. Due to the use of one of the Eight Gates, the user is left extremely fatigued, making this technique a "double-edged sword". It may also be used on multiple people at once.
Note: B-Rank. Requires Gate of Opening to utilize this technique. Drains considerable amount of stamina.

Reverse Lotus
The user kicks the target into the air and continues to strike them at inhuman speeds, ricocheting off of each strike. They then deliver a final, powerful open-handed strike and kick at the same time, sending the target crashing into the ground like a meteor.
Note: A-Rank. Requires Gate of Life to utilize this technique. Drains considerable amount of stamina and forces the Gates closed. User is stunned for two turns after use.

The following techniques are automatically learned with the respective Gate. If you would prefer to apply for a custom technique to substitute the canon techniques, make an application to which admins will duly review and decide on if your custom technique is appropriate.

Morning Peacock
The technique is started by kicking the enemy into the air. The user then jumps into the air in a distinctive stance and begins punching the enemy repeatedly. The punches are so fast, they are set ablaze by sheer speed and friction which in turn creates a peacock-like fan of flames around the opponent. Once the attack is finished, the enemy will be sent crashing back to the ground, covered with the attack's aura of flames.
Note: A-Rank. Requires Gate of View to utilize this technique.

Daytime Tiger
The user places a palm facing forward in front of their face with one hand and then taps it with his other hand, formed into a fist, which creates a massive amount of air pressure. Next, the user forms a unique hand seal resembling a tiger. This launches the air pressure at the opponent in the shape of one by leaving a gigantic tiger-shaped impression into the initially built-up air pressure with the hand seal. The air pressure will condense as it's moving and be focused into a single point. The technique then explodes on command, releasing the built up air pressure in an instant. A massive explosion is created which can be felt a significant distance away.
Note: A-Rank. Requires Gate of Wonder to utilize this technique.

Evening Elephant
This technique is a continuous assault of five punches, with each "foot" - as they are referred to - being performed faster than the one before. It creates a cannon of pressurised air which bears the appearance of an elephant's leg, causing devastating damage to the opponent. The first punch alone was capable of creating a massive and deep tunnel in the ground.
Note: A-Rank. Requires Gate of Death to utilize this technique.

Night Guy
The user initiates the technique by emitting an enormous amount of chakra. After gathering all of this chakra around their body, the blood vapour of the Eighth Gate manifests into a red, flickering dragon-like aura. They then dash forward at such an extreme speed that the space within the immediate vicinity of the technique is distorted, making it impossible for the target to defend against it, afterwhich an immensely powerful kick is dealt which carries such force that it is capable of obliterating the target's body down to the very last scrap of DNA, as well as creating a devastating shock wave linear to the kick and setting it ablaze.
Note: S-Rank. Requires Gate of Death to utilize this technique. User withers away to ashes after use.
