There is proof Jesus did exist as a man.

As for God and Satan it's in everyone's mind to have different interpretations.

Personally, I don't think they exist in "bone and flesh". That's just me.

You know, if there was proof that Satan exists, EVERYONE would believe in God. I know if i were Satan i wouldn't reveal myself, ever. And that is why we have no proof :P

God exists though, for sure.

I agree that God does exist. Which Religion's god? Well, since I was raised in a Christian home I tend to lean more towards their description of God for the most part, but a Supreme Being does exist regardless of what religion he belongs to. At least, that's my opinion on the subject.

but which religion do you think is right? I'm pretty sure there are many, many, MANY different "gods" within each different religion, but they all share the same devil :/

Which religion is the right one?

here some stuff i need to people to tackle since i cant answer it

Step one:

In the bible it says that god is all-powerful, and all-seeing. We all (ok, most Christians) accept this as fact.

Step two:

Could God create a room into which he couldn’t see?

Result one – he could, therefore he is not all-seeing.

Result two – he could not, therefore he is not all-powerful.

This proves that God cannot be both all-powerful AND all-seeing

Step three (result one):

Could God create a glass of water so huge, that even he could not drink it?

Result one – he could, therefore he couldn’t drink it all, therefore he is not all-powerful.

Result two – he could not, therefore he couldn’t create it, so he is not all powerful.

Step three (result two):

It is not possible to be all seeing. This is due to the speed of light and things:

The red dot is here and now. The vertical bar is time, and the horizontal bar is time. As the bar gets further to the right, we get further into the past, as we get higher or lower, we get further from Earth. The diagonal lines represent the speed of light. As we get further from Earth, we cannot see what is happening at this moment, and are looking further into the past. The grey shaded area is what we can see and know, the white is what we cannot.

Unless God is everywhere, then he cannot know everything, due top the very laws of the place he created.

Step four:

To prove that God is not everywhere, again we must look to the bible. Genesis 3. 9, to be precise. God calls out to Adam “‘where are you?’”. If God must ask, then he cannot be everywhere, as this would mean he could tell instantly where Adam was.

You never ask questions that you don't already know the answer to? Sometimes to see if people are honest, sometimes for other reasons.

I believe Jesus was a prophet, nothing more or less. I doubt that he was divinely inspired, but it's a slim possibility. As for God and Satan, I remain an agnostic doubter. I do however believe that there is [probably some higher presence out there. It may not be omniscient or omnipotent, or even around anymore, but something had to start everything.

Quite honestly you're tackling the fact of a single religion that has been blown up into the most common believed in.

To be quite honest with you, if a Being of such power as the God of Abraham and the God of Christians was to really exist, he would not be of the same plain of existence as us. I don't know how better to word it than that because if there was a Being of such power time and relativity would not exist for them so these questions would be null and void because that is time and relativity as we see it, not as that which could exist in other areas.

Now can anyone name one thing that gravity does not effect?

Just need an answer, until then I'll move on;

You seem to not be looking for answers only using that which has been said many times before.

"God cannot exist due to him not being able to create x or being able to create it thus not being y."

For the most part there is no clear way to prove nor disprove the existence of any god whatsoever unless the god shows himself the masses across the world. Would the ever happen? Who knows, religion is based off of faith to explain that which cannot be explained.

For example;

A good friend of mine's aunt was the biggest Atheist I had ever had a run in with, she absolutely hated God and thought he did not exist due to the current living situation of so many on the planet. She had a severe stroke and was hospitalized for three months. A month after she was released, she had a second and was bed-ridden in the hospital once again but this time she did not survive. A week after the stroke she passed away; Her family prayed with her intently trying to get her to accept Christ as her Saviour. She did, according to her nephew who was at her side the entire time, about two hours before she passed away.

Now here's where it gets interesting...

She was pronounced dead at 6:55pm on a Tuesday. At 4:57am the following Thursday when the autopsy was about to be preformed she sat up on the gerny and asked where she was. I've read the news articles and what not, even talked to the woman. She is a die-hard Christian now and doctors can't begin to fathom how it came to be. Quite honestly I have no idea what happened but she believe it to be God raising her from the dead. A funny side-effect happened to the woman, as well... when she prays the palms of her hands begin to bleed. I've been told no matter how much she bleeds, she never loses blood from her system.

Things like this is how religion came to be - things that have no scientific or morale answer to them thus people have leaned to another reasoning; God or gods.

As for Steve's question to me...

I believe Christianity, for the most part, has it down quite well. Not for the 'Jesus' or the 'God' but the good morales of the Bible and it, for the most part, being a guideline to living a better life. It's not to be followed perfectly - more or less a book to tell you what is wrong and for you to decide if you are going to do it or not. Basic morales, pretty much. I don't agree with modern Christianity nor the fact that the people so openly condemn others when the religion is about turning another cheek and not chastizing those around you. To not judge, to be meek and humble and to treat those around you as if they were your master. No one takes the Bible for a whole anymore, only the parts they choose to read and think that the rest is rubbish and not for them because they are faithful ro God. Full of their own crock, pretty much.

Sorry, I have a strong distaste of Christians mainly from personal experience with those in the church. A lot of people outside the church I have come to known as very like-minded people.

oh i didnt write that, i just copy off a site, i was speechless ^^

i dont believe in the "God, Jesus, Satan" stuff but i dont understand that it was created to make us a better person, that's why i dislike going to church, because it's a waste of my time listening to stuff i would never understand. + I hate those people who take religion a bit to seriously, like to extremism..

call me a hypocrite or w/e but that's the way i roll.

Religion to me is a guideline for following good moral behavior, as you touched on. Some people gain personal strength of will by believing in a higher being's presence, and there's no reason for me to attempt to take that away from them even if I realize that their thoughts are illogical and ignore modern science. I personally know that I can act morally based on my own interpretations of the natural order of things; not from any government's laws or from any religion's beliefs. Most of the time, these ideals line up concurrently, but in the case that they do not, I'll trust my own interpretation of what's right.

It's a controversial fact, but it's straight from public records:
- 75% of the population of the United States is Christian.
- 75% of the jailed population of the United States is Christian.
- 10% of the population of the United States is Agnostic or Atheistic.
- 0.2% of the jailed population of the United States is Agnostic or Atheistic.

You don't have to go to church to go to Heaven, as long as you just believe in God.
But if not then yes, you will go to hell. Cause you've had people tell if you didn't believe in God you'd go to hell, so you've chosen in what you wanted.

Me being christian despite the fact I like some music that worships Satan, and paint my nails.
Yet, I still believe in God.

Anyways...
Even if there wasnt a God/Satan/Jesus,
Would it hurt to pick a religion if you ended up going to the same place when you died anyways?
;o
