Tournament Ladder Rankings The ranking for this beta season is based on the Player Average. The highest possible player average that can be attained is a 6.000. The only players that are ranked in the ladder are those that have completed at least (1/3) * (Highest # of Tournaments Played By A Single Player). The rest of the snipers are unranked but their stats are still displayed. On the far right hand column you will see either a 1 or a 0. If the value is 1 the player is ranked and vice versa for 0. The beta season is coming down to the wire and LocK has a commanding lead, and it looks like hes gonna finish out on top. I appreciate the hard work that skiD has put into keeping up with the statistics and tournament ladder. Hopefully, our collaborated season beginning on September 1 will be a blast. To view the rankings simply click the link below. Please note this beta season is not setup the way that Season 1 of the CSR will be. The beta season will NOT have a postseason, but skiD and I will design something for the winners. ***In order to view the ranks you will need Adobe Reader which is free to download. You can get it here --> Adobe Reader.*** The current amount of tournaments needed to be ranked is 4. Last updated: [08.20.08] By: ][-][uRRiCaNe ...The Tournament Ladder... |

1/3 of the tournaments played by the most is kind of a ton, especially with people who don't have lives/school/work/friends. =/ I agree there needs to be some limit, but that's a lot of tournaments... 1/5 or 1/4 maybe, or maybe just 1/6 or 1/8 of the total? How many tournaments were hosted in this "Beta-season?" |

The ranking is determined by point average. I imagine that the reason a minimum # of tournaments is required (in order to be ranked) is to prevent someone from getting an absurdly high point average from only playing one or two tournaments, as opposed to someone who has a more realistic point average from playing 10 tournaments. If you play only 1 or 2 tournaments with weak fields, you could do really well. If you play 20, your point average is going to be a more accurate assessment of where you really stand. Although to be fair, making the minimum # of tournaments dependant on the maximum that another player plays is risky - there could be one psycho would players a gazillion tournaments. You could just make a flat minimum - like 6 - in order to be ranked. Only thing you would have to deal with is that nobody would be ranked for awhile. |

The new CSR is 1/4. MisclickeD: Good point. If that becomes the case we may bring in a more statistcal formula excluding outliers and such. |
