I'm just curious... Cause everything other game it's called a "Camp" Camp = Standing still in a spot not moving, or in a small area with minimum movement. I know you call camp shooting rs, but I don't see why a new word was made; And yes it's just starcraft for some reason. |

Base-sitting: someone who tends to the base. As in a sitter, babysitter, etc. |

Yeah, in every other video game, camping is sitting still the way "sit" is in snipers. But, we can't use camping for both killing at rs, and waiting in one spot in snipers, can we? So sit is what came up and stuck. |

I've often wondered how a lot of our sniper terms became popular. Like, stance. It makes sense, sure. But who's the first person to come up with it? And then terms change all of the sudden. Like blinding use to be vision rape, then fog rape, then just fogging/fogged, now blind. |

Fogging became blinding because newbs didn't think you could use fog spots to kill people without being in a blind. The confusion over terms led to other newbs pretending that they knew what they were talking about, and everyone adjusted. I still differentiate between blind/fog by it being a blind spot, or not. Other terms that have changed: Camp--->stfu nub that's not a camp Sit--->"playing smart" Newb Lock because only Newbs use it--->Newb Lock because only Newbs die to it--->"A viable strategy in Locks" Well mannered player--->lol ur gay fag Weave--->Teamwork--->omfg rl |
