Mabus; History in the making?

So we have our first black dude as our president. Sounds like history in the making. Some say he won’t make it past his first term (due to assassination) others say he’s the prophecy, Mabus, that Nostradamus predicted:

Mabus could be the anti-christ or the forerunner to the true antichrist.
-Mabus Project.

Mabus then will soon die, there will come
Of people and beasts a horrible rout:
Then suddenly one will see vengeance,
Hundred, hand, thirst, hunger when the comet will run.

Century II, Quatrain 62

The antichrist very soon annihilates the three,
twenty-seven years his war will last.
The unbelievers are dead, captive, exiled;
with blood, human bodies, water and red hail covering the earth.

Century VIII, Quatrain 77

Naval battle night will be overcome,
Fire in the ships to the West ruin:
New trick, the great ship colored,
Anger to the vanquished, and victory in a drizzle.

Century IX, Quatrain 100

A founder of sects , much trouble for the accuser:
A beast in the theater prepares the scene and plot.
The author ennobled by acts of older times;
the world is confused by schismatic sects.

Century I, Quatrain 45

What are yall's thoughts?

"...hundred, hand, thirst, hunger when the comet will run."

"...with blood, human bodies, water and red hail covering the earth."

A comet, hence the water and red hail.

Some say a comet will hit in 2012, but there is no direct evidence of this.
-----------------------------
Things to happen in 2012:

Earth's pole switch
Sun's pole switch
solar transit of Venus
433 Eros (an asteroid), the second-largest Near Earth Object on record to pass earth.
as well as other political and non-political events.

The problem with Nostradamus' "prophecies" is that they're general enough that they could mean just about anything.

"Of people and beasts a horrible rout:" - The word "horrible" is subjective, rout basically means people and animals will flee their homes and shelters. That happens frequently enough; people being forced to evacuate due to natural disasters such as fires, earthquakes, and tsunamis is somewhat common.

"Then suddenly one will see vengeance," - "See vengeance" can mean murdering another person as revenge or a kid pushing another kid as retaliation for a push or an insult.

"Hundred, hand, thirst, hunger when the comet will run." - I'd guess that there is at least one person dying of thirst or hunger somewhere on Earth every second. A visible comet occurs every couple years, and a comet not visible to the naked eye but visible through a telescope occurs a few times per year.

Anyway, I don't feel like going through each quatrain but you get my point.

The reason why Nostradamus doesn't straight up say when 9/11 was going to happen or the name of the Antichrist that will reign is because he can’t without changing the course if history. Therefore he must use a series of anagrams, metaphors and symbolism in his prophecies.

“In the preface ( a letter dedicated to his son Caesar), Nostradamus stated that his prophetic quatrains were covered with a veil cloud, but are clear enough to be comprehended by men of good intelligence.”

The funny thing is, if any of us sat down to right prophecies, they'd never be accepted.

That is the dumbest explanation i've ever heard, and probably one of the most gullible things as well..similar to how people say, "I've known him for a long time and he told me he doesn't hack," must mean some guy doesn't hack.

Among other questions i would ask, why exactly wouldn't you WANT to change the course of history if he's talking about the antichrist and the fall of civilization? That is something i would think you would want to prevent.

The other reason i've heard from history channel experts etc is that a good reason why a lot are vague and dont make sense until they happen is because, especially for events like 9/11, the guy cant say muslim extremists are crashing a plain into the world trade centers because his visions saw the event happening. He only knows what people in the 14th/15th century knew (if i remember the dates right) as far as technology goes. He describes them in what he can.

But yeah i personally still dont belive in prophecies and i think you ahve to be pretty gullible or just plain WANT to believe in it in order to do so.

Well Nostradamus prophecies were never accepted until later. But what really got him noticed at first was his medical skills.

I'm sure if i cured cancer then started to write prophecies people would scorn at first then take interest.

no, they wouldn't. You'd get a nobel prize for finding a cure for cancer and then you'd get to go on oprah a few times and maybe write a best seller or two till your 15 minutes of fame was over.

I agree and I can be very gullible at times, but I also try to keep my mind open. More over it’s not because I’m subject in believing everything I hear, rather it’s the pleasure in the supernatural; I don’t believe in aliens in the least but I still watch documentaries of UFO sightings on TV.

Yeah it was the time period that accepted his prophecies. Our time period is about science now, unlike then when it was superstition.

I'd actually want there to be aliens.... universe is so big... it'd be lonely if there was only us :-/

I'm gonna make a serious discussion on aliens now :-p

Everyone needs to grow up and throw this bullshit down the toilet. This prophecy is so fucking vague you can literally apply any of the bullshit you see in it to anything to make it true.
