I think I'll null my vote this time. In my opinion no one made any real progress in arguing for marijuana they made the same cliche inferences as everyone else does. "There are more dangerous drugs that are legalized, why isn't marijuana?" Also, this topic is extremely one sided because of a great deal of immature youth on this forums. I'm not going to bother even reading the rest of the argument that I haven't already done so, but if there was one person who actually took a mature approach and discussed why marijuana shouldn't be legalized I solute you. If possible Etra, could this topic be discussed again except with the rule "Do not compare it to other drugs". Also I have another suggestion, how about not even putting up the names of people who don't contribute anything of real value to the discussion. Last time there were people who just wrote one or two entries saying nothing more than "Abortion sucks", yet we were still able to vote for them.

About the authoritative figure thing...I'm an authoritative figure in the respect that I have thoroughly researched this topic before. It's not like I have a doctorate in this or anything, but I used to be interested in the effects of illegal drugs and how harmful they are to the body...Hell, most of my friends come to me to ask me the dangers of taking whatever drug they desire before they do so.

Yea...

My other suggestion was gay marriage, but this one was picked over it.

Gay marriage for the next topic? Does anyone feel strongly about that one way or the other? The good thing about that type of argument is that you can argue from a subjective point of view. Providing sources is a headache.

For me, I wouldn't be able to pick a side because I believe both sides have equally valid points.
