When Plan B fails, go back to Plan A and surprise them

Really? Well it's an addition to Stargate SG-1 lol both are filmed where I live so I guess it's natural that I've heard of it. Basically in that one, Atlantis is an ancient city that submerged to the bottom of the ocean to last a thousand years to await descendants to return. They submerged because they were losing a war with an alien race that feeds off of human life force. |

Good show.. And yes Atlantis was at war with Greece if I remember correctly. What I speculate is that Greece did not even explore far enough to reach the Atlantic Ocean. So I looked it up and I was right - not even close to the center of the Atlantic. Besides, the story of Atlantis was recorded, or told, by one person only. So, how is it that that person, Plato, the only one who knows about it, but the student of his student speculates on whether it was real or not?! It's not hard to believe that a land mass can be swallowed up in a day by the sea. Afterall, just think about Holland. If those dikes give way then it's over. So basically, some elements of the 'story' may be true but others such as a flying machine, especially in the ancient world, seem a tad farfetched. All in all, this trend of 'stories' usually either exaggerates the truth or is just made up. Stories from ancient times are usually like this. Seriously, a hydra? medusa? much less Hurcules? Sounds a lot like the same old crazy Greek stories to me. |

That is really not in any way plausible. We have satellite images of the depth of the ocean across the entire planet. Something that is less than say 100m deep would be conspicuous as hell in the middle of the ocean. |
