Exile, global warming is a theory. It's not real because it hasn't been proven yet. It might be real, but temperatures around the world don't support it if you look at temperature changes from the 1800's to now. And glaciers in Iceland are expanding, or they were, I think the research thing I looked at was for a summer or two ago. Also, sea levels haven't risen either. global warming if true has been going on for many years either way, saying its not real because it hasn't been proven yet doesn't really make sense o.O It can be staring you in the face, and you'll be in complete denial :/ |

Wtf? Global warning has not been proven? I thought it was comon knowledge. We fucked our planet up the ass so deep its shitting back at us. Seriously lol... It's people like you who deny the obvious and tell other people it's just theories and myths that may lead to us actually all dying in 2012 |

It really is just a theory haha... it hasn't been proven. I have a book with a lot of data about it, but I lent it to a friend a couple weeks ago and I don't think she's even started reading it yet ('cuz I gave her other ones too). My government professor last semester told us if anyone could prove global warming exists he'd give them an A, and no one could. He's done it for years too. Once I get my book back I'll give yall some references. |

Another theory towards the Earth heating up is something I heard recently but was only listening 50% or so lol. The magma in the earth spins keeping the earth at a certain degree and provides a certain temperature. As we are getting closer to 2012, the magma is slowing down. This is altering the temperature of Earth, which people are referring to as "Global Warming" Thats the jist of it atleast. |

Posted Image Posted Image None of this can be "proven" but the evidence is so retardedly overwhelming so that you'd have to be a complete fucking idiot to ignore it. Success! |

Holy shit you rampaging retard, were bacteria not real before they were proven to exist? Did Neptune, Uranus, Jupiter, and Saturn not exist before they were discovered? I thought you were smarter than that. Edited by Tonic, Sat Jul 11, 2009 8:26 pm.

I have evidence that shows what global warming is supposed to cause isn't happening. So be patient. |

This better be good, considering there are hundreds of scientific journals and millions of dollars in experimental data saying otherwise. |

Every year there are about a average of 560 articles by scientists about global warming. People sometimes speculate that maybe some of these articles by reputable scientists are against global warming. These people are wrong. There are 560 articles and not even 1 article is against the existence of global warming. Straight outta the al gore movie. |

LMFAO Everyone knows Al Gore is all about global warming. Of course a movie he makes would say that. It's politics. |

doesn't make sense for you to rely on 1 author, that's currently has a book read by your friend... is that author a reliable source of information? |

I've never met such a dense kid. Just because it appears in a movie by Al Gore doesn't mean it isn't true. Look it up for yourself. Since his movie was mainstream, they went through a lot of trouble to make sure there were no spurious claims in the movie. His statement about the scientific articles is not something debatable like the issue of global warming itself (in your opinion), but a supporting FACT.Since Al Gore is making a movie to raise awareness about global warming, then of COURSE he's going to use a FACT that supports his cause. That doesn't make the FACT less true. Stop being such a douchebag. Skepticism is healthy, but obstinate denial is not. |

It references to a zillion scientific journals. The information I'll be using will be from scientists and peer reviewed and everything. So yes, it is. |

Make sure you post at least a few of the references from the book. I'd love to see by whom were these journals "peer-reviewed". By yourself? Your friend? |

I'll post the whole works cited if you want. And I know his statement is false because of the journals the book references to. You'll see, just wait. |

I've read a bit more about his claim, and apparently it is indeed untrue, or at least flawed to a considerable extent. I'll eat some of my humble pie for now, but nonetheless it stands that the majority of scientists support the consensus that we are to blame for unnatural global climatic change. |
