The point is pretty damned simple: intelligent players risk deaths to create flagging opportunities or sacrifice themselves to deny those opportunities for the other team. Mediocre players just play and flag when it seems like a good idea. Stupid players give away flagging chances by trying to get unnecessary kills.

The point is most evident from a 2v1 situation near an opponent's base: good players who understand snipers will charge in recklessly. Average players will play safe and try to lure out the other opponent. Bad players will leave their teammates out to dry and not understand why their "dumbass partner" tried to solo it.

Hazy, you mentioned earlier about football and this game. Saying how a player with a bunch of touchdowns and only a few yards doesn't deserve mvp over someone who has a lot of yards and no touchdowns? Do you even watch football? There are recievers who have little yardage because they are end zone catchers, yet they still seem to get an mvp for the game because they have 2 or 3 tds.. All they do is gotta catch it in the end zone right? In some cases its easy, in other cases its more tough because of coverage, but they still seem to pull it off.

Do you think in the world of football that they care how easy it was to accomplish something so that they don't need to count stats? Stats are stats no matter how easy it is to accomplish. If you can't stop a flag, then your loss, they get points for doing the work you can't do. They deserve to be rewarded mvp points for flagging no matter how easy it was. Stop being such a shitty sniper and don't let them flag? Don't let them get mvp points? Man, the defense that you fools have is they don't deserve it because it takes no skill... All I hear is 'bitch bitch whine moan' get better rofl..

And this is an argument in support of my side. If a player sacrifices themself for a flag, and then the pner just grabs the flag and returns home, then the flagger doesn't deserve insane mvp pointage!

I once again stress that MVP is more of a kill - death ratio, and with bonus + flags affecting the ratio positively with 1 point. I'm okay with the whole "points contributed to team" approach, but we need to call it that, because traditionally and logically MVP is the kill / death ratio.

Except that in doing so there's an equal chance that you or your partner will flag. An intelligent team playing together will balance out.

The only reason your point has merit is because the average sniper today is a complete fucking dumbass and so playing like a good "teammate" makes you suffer.

So answer this. For all this skilled snipers who can ql, dlock, stance etc....
Why should ur partner get MVP for finishing up somthing so easy as returning a flag after you just cleared the map for his ass?

Because that's very rare and there's no easy way to detect when it occurs? And if you just cleared the map, get the flag yourself.

(Well, yeah there is, but I'm not coding it.)
