Ok so one of my recruits is having trouble with recording. He has a speed of 2.20 ghz and 1.43 GB(ramm). He tried 24 all the way to 10 fps and every single time it lagged his computer badly. Now i used to record on a shitty comp on 1.06 ghz with 500 mb ramm and i ran smoothy on 10 fps. Hows it possible that hes lagging but i didnt and his computer settings are much better? Could it be the recording while compression? Could there be any other reasons for this lag?

well it's simple.. he's an idiot.

Too many stuff running at once / he's probably recording his entire desktop ( not 640x480 ) / virus/spyware infected / Wrong version

@ 2.20 ghz and 1.43 GB(ram)

the minimum requirement for the cam is 350 MHz / Ram memory: 256 MB

For sc it's even less

Minimum CPU Type: XT/Compatible Minimum RAM Required: 16 MB

So it's one of the stuff above that's slowing his recording down.
