Major League Sniping Season 2 System

Regular Season

  • Random Games

    • Every player is on their own team generally.
    • You gain XP for playing games.
    • There is no limit to how many games you want to play (except squad matches).
    • Each game will be randomized (except squad matches) so you never know who your partner will be. This eliminates dodging.
    • Kills, Deaths, Flags, Bonuses will be recorded.
    • There will be bonus XP for participating and winning in tournaments, squad matches, and other events.
    • Each player will earn XP for each statistic.

      • 1 Kill = 10 XP
      • 1 Death = -3 XP
      • 1 Flag = 20 XP
      • 1 Bonus = 5 XP
      • 1 Win = 300 XP
      • 1 MVP = 125 XP
      • 1 Squad Match Entered = 1000 XP (Max 1 Game Per Day)
      • 1 Tournament Entered = 2000 XP
      • 1 Tournament Champion = 5000 XP

    • When you gain a certain amount of XP, you level up.
    • When you reach Level 20, you can participate in Squad Matches.

      • Squads

        • You must first reach Level 20, and be picked up by a squad by having the squad captain want to claim you onto their team before you can play a squad match.
        • You can only play 1 squad match per day.
        • Squad matches are unrandomized games.
        • You must play with a squad member and against 2 players that are also on the same squad for the game to qualify as a squad match.
        • Squad records will be kept.

    • When you reach max level, Level 50 for Season 2, you enter the Arena and are prohibited from being in or joining any squad.

Arena

  • Once you are finished collecting the necessary XP to become max level, all matches from now on will be recorded as arena matches, and you can no longer play squad matches and will be dropped from your squad if you are currently in one.
  • You no longer gain XP.
  • You now gain Arena Rating points. The amount of points you receive depends on the total arena rating of the match you face.
  • The system being used for the Arena Ratings is called the "ELO System". Here is the formula:

    • ----- Winning Teams: (1/((10^(((WP1R+WP2R)-(LP1R+LP2R))/400))+1)*100)= CoWG //// ((1-CoWG%)*32)+PR = New Player Rating
    • ----- Losing Teams: (1/((10^(((LP1R+LP2R)-(WP1R+WP2R))/400))+1)*100)= CoWG //// ((1-CoWG%)*-32)+PR = New Player Rating

      • WP1R = Winning Player 1 Rating
      • WP2R = Winning Player 2 Rating
      • LP1R = Losing Player 1 Rating
      • LP2R = Losing Player 2 Rating
      • CoWG = Chance of Winning Game

  • The higher your Arena Rating is, the higher you will be ranked on the arena ladder.
  • You may still play with players who are not max level if you wish, but their rating will not change from the default setting of 1500 if they win or lose. Yours will.
  • If you are in the Top 7 of the rating systems ladder, you must play at least 7 games a week during the final 2 weeks with at least 1 other arena ranked player in it.
  • There will be a set minimum number of arena games played to make it into the finals during the season. This number will vary.

Playoffs

  • Wild Card Round

    • The Top 7-10 Arena Ratings (with minimum arena games played) make the Wild Card Round.
    • The Wild Card Round will be held on a specific date to be set in the future.
    • Each player will play 3 games with 3 different partners from the same game.
    • The player with the best winning record in those 3 games makes it to The Playoffs.

  • The Playoffs

    • The Top 7 Arena Ratings (with minimum arena games played) make The Playoffs, plus the winner of the Wild Card Round.
    • The Playoffs will be held on a specific date to be set in the future.
    • Seeding for the first round of The Playoffs:
      • Group 1 - #1, #2, #7, #8
      • Group 2 - #3, #4, #5, #6

    • Each player will play 6 games with 3 different partners from the same game.
    • The top 2 players with the best records from each grouping make it to The Finals.

  • The Finals

    • The 4 players remaining make the finals.
    • The Finals will be held on a specific date to be set in the future.
    • Each player will play 6 games with 3 different partners from the same game.
    • The player with the best record after those 6 games is crowned MLS Season 2 Champion.

  • All games will be video recorded and all winning games for all Playoffs games must be posted with all required checks.
