A crow, black as coal, soared through the biting cold skies, it's battered but beautiful wings flapping in the wind, creating a eery but magical silhouette as it cut through the moon. Eery and magical, definitely, but not as eery, and certainly not as magical, as what was happening down below. Further and further down from this squawking, terrifying bird, was a squawking, and terrified man.

Dylan 'Dyldo' James.

It had been an adventure of a night. One that saw him run wildly from a hooded killer whilst poo still hung out of his asshole. One that saw his right hand mutilated as idiotic fellow of his Rachel tried to free him from a bear trap. One that saw him leap from a falling cable car and cling on to the side of a mountain. And one that saw him, after hours of walking through the blistering cold, leap from an icy ledge on the side of a ravine, into an icy cold like below.

And one that, in perhaps the most terrifying case yet, saw something jump in after him.

As Dyldo watched the icy water erupt behind him into a huge splash, he floated in total silence, scared stiffless, wandering what it could have been? A rock that fell after him? A slab of ice or snow? Hopefully nothing dangerous. But then, once it started moving through the water towards him, creating ripples on the surface, he didn't need Goldie's yell from behind him to warn him of the fact that actually, it did look to be quite dangerous.

'DYLAN!' Goldie yells from the shore, and Dyldo is quick to twist in the water towards her, before swimming as quickly as he can in her direction.

A. Attempt to swim to the shore.

Dyldo thrashed at the icy water, forgetting just how much it froze his skin at the touch, and how brittle it made his bones feel, his only priority now was to get to the shore. His right hand slapped over and over again nastily into water, the bandage wrapped around it coming free and floating away from him. His mutilated hand exposed, blood seeping from the gigantic wound which replaced an unfortunate amount of his fingers, spilling into the waters and making it red. But again Dyldo couldn't think about that right now. The only thoughts he could let enter his head were those telling him to push on. To make it to shore.

'DYLAN! COME ON! QUICK! HURRY! IT'S BEHIND YOU!'

The closer and closer he got to Goldie, the more and more worried he became, expecting at any moment to feel his legs tugged out from beneath him. But Goldie was within reach now, his tongue extended out of his mouth involuntarily, as his hands reached out of the water and clasped around the outstretched hand of Goldie. She had him! He was safe!

'Holy shit!' Dylan cried out in relief, 'Pull me out of this fucking water-'

But something wrapped around Dylan's leg. His eyes narrowed, as he felt himself being yanked under the surface. Wide eyes pleaded with Goldie to pull him back up, and her own wide eyes told him that she was trying her best.

'GOLDIE! HELP ME!' Dyldo cried.

'I AM!' Goldie yelled back, 'You're not going anywhere! WE'RE MAKING IT OFF THIS FUCKING MOUNTAIN!'

Goldie yanked upwards, trying to lift up Dyldo out of the water... until she felt something worrying. The blood coating Dyldo's fucked up hand started causing him to slip out of her grip. Dyldo felt it too, and you could hear the worry in his voice.

'NO! GOLDIE! DON'T LET ME GO!'

'GRAB ONTO SOMETHING ELSE! DYLAN! QUICK! I CAN'T HOLD ON!'

'GOLDIE HELP ME! HELP ME! HELP M-'

And like that, his hands slipped out of hers, and the last thing she saw of Dyldo was his pale, worried expression, before he slipped beneath the surface, leaving not a splash, but a ripple in his wake. Goldie stood to her feet, her eyes scanning the surface, hoping to see Dyldo rise back to the top of the surface.

'Come on Dylan...' she murmered to herself 'You said we were getting off this mountain... we've got to get off this mountain.'

But up to the surface didn't rise Dylan.

Up to the surface, rise Dylan's arm.

Goldie gulped a petrified gulp. There, floating on the surface, dribbling blood out of it's socket, was the right arm of one Dylan James. The missing fingers were no longer what drew your eyes to it, rather the disgustingly messy hole on the other end of it.

And around it, began rising bubbles. Air bubbles. Something was about to surface.

Goldie began breathing loudly, as she looked around her for any sort of weapon, before only being able to find a rock. Nevertheless, she lifted it above her head, ready to strike. Ready to strike at whatever was in the water.

'Dylan, this better be you about to collect your arm back.'

And out of the water it rose! A wave of icy water splashed into every direction, including at Goldie, who at the sight of what was before her, through herself backwards, screaming, the rock flying out of her hand. Still dribbling wet, was what looked to be a girl, a girl who looked no older than 10. Goldie couldn't make out much more than bright yellow pigtails, a small school uniform, and two bright, peering, blue eyes. Eyes which feasted on the right arm just as much as her mouth was about to. Before Goldie could notice much else about her, the girl clutched the arm with boney fingers, and crashed back under the surface of the lake.

Goldie was left sat back in the snow, still racking her brain over the situation... over what she just saw. She couldn't hold it in much longer.

'Who's that bitch!?'
