I have been going to seminary for a while, and Heyward is very knowledgeable as well. We want to answer any and all of your questions concerning the tenets and beliefs of Christianity: Who Christ is, why suffering exists, who God is, what is the nature of God, why Jesus had to die, is the Bible accurate, what does the Bible say, etc. We want you to be comfortable with talking about Christianity, we will not try to argue our assert our beliefs upon you, we will just state them. Anything you want to ask, we will answer without judgement. If we don't hold up to our promises here, I am sorry. |

Did you just chose to ignore where I went out of the Bible to explain why Homosexuality is a sin from a logic standpoint? Also, in response to penis being attractive? A murderer would say the exact same thing about blood. Sin is attractive. It has to be, or else we would not be bothered by giving into temptations. If we saw sin as less attractive than God, we would be fine and need no savior. Instead, we are addicted to sin, we can't have enough of it, and we replace the spot of God with idols, such as penises, or murdering, or lying, or stealing, or self-harm, or alcohol, or anything else we humans idolize. We were created to worship, and in our fallen sinful state, we will worship anything that promises pleasure. |

why not just rename the thread into ask the bible anything? since apparently you cant answer yourself and instead answer with crap like ''the bible tells us it is'' also i love how the religion of god and all that is good thinks that murdering and raping 10 little children is a sin equal to being homosexual. thats just shocking no matter how you look at it or how you twist it. its literally just hate and racism if you actually think such delusional things and has nothing to do with whatever bible or holy spirit. i have nothing against christianity or religion, but people like you are seriously delusional and should get some treatment before you start purging people in the name of god. and for the love of Pine dont answer me, please. |

What are you talking about? I never once condoned killing anyone. And never will. I am called to love sinners, as Christ did. But did he not call them to repent? Let me tell you a story. You're walking down the sidewalk in the morning, and you come across your neighbors house and it is on fire. He is asleep, do you not want to go and yell at him to get out of the house? Is this not showing love for him? If a sinner is one his way to face God's judgement, should I not be screaming at him to get out? Would this not show my love for him? |

People are born gay they don't really have a choice to be like "I want to be with a man" or women if you're lesbian, if its such a sin to be gay then why would god create people who are gay? |

I want you to answer a couple last questions for me To answer these you need to completely ignore the bible - pretend it doesn't exist, just for these questions Use your brain to answer, please. Is being gay a bad thing Is murdering somebody a bad thing Is being gay worse or equal to murdering somebody in terms of how bad both things are |

Correct.
Yes, this is a widely accepted fact regardless of religion.
Genesis 5:4 And the days of Adam after he begot Seth were eight hundred years; and he begot sons and daughters.
God refers to his followers as his children. This means that we have a father/child relationship to him. He teaches us his ways and we try to emulate him.
Noah brought his wife, his three sons, and his three sons' wives aboard the ark.
See above.
I'm sure incest was involved. The wives of Seth, Cain, and Adam's other sons were the daughters of Adam and Eve. The wives of Shem, Ham, and Japheth's sons were probably their own daughters. Again, this should not be surprising as it is an accepted fact that all modern humans share a single common human ancestor. |

Well I'm not against homosexuality but I think I can answer that question. God doesn't chose how people are born. |

But he still "created" us according to the bible, hence he could alter how the human race is. He had / has the full control. |

God chooses how people are born. Just because people are born gay doesn't mean it's not sin. Sin is genetic. You don't have to go very far to prove this. You don't have to teach children to lie or be selfish. It is because of sin that we are born into sin. God allows it to happen, and it is not our right to ask him why. The whole book of Job is about this topic, I'll give a brief synopsis: Job is a wealthy and righteous man. But God allows his family to be killed and for great illness to inflict him. Throughout the whole book Job is asking God why he is suffering, because he has done nothing to bring it upon himself. God finally answers and says basically, "who are you to question me?" Listen to this song based on Job: It sums up the answer to your question in a nice little package. The answer being, why do you have a right to question God? |
