She'd said too much, great, she wasn't good at subtlety, but this wasn't a good situation to be in. "The manor is an entity in it's self, it's kind of a sentient being. Sens, one of the kids there can talk to objects, so far she's the only one that can speak to the manor. It doesn't really eat people, but yes they disappear, apparently the Manor just plops them somewhere else in the world, we don't really know how it works." She laughed, "Of course we have to steal food, how else would a bunch of penniless ragamuffins like us manage to feed ourselves. Don't worry though most stores have extra goods just because of us, you should know that. so it's not as if we're stealing food out of other people's mouths. We need to eat too you know. Now come on." She got up and walked over to him grabbing him by the hand and pulling him to his feet. "We've got to get home eventually, no sense lazing about. Come on Avon, I'm sure we can get you two something to do, even if kyle here won't steal from the stores." Just keep a close watch on him, eh?" still holding Kyle's arm she went on into the woods, leaving the pool and bushes of raspberries behind. They were surprisingly close to the manor, the woods quickly grew thin, and they were almost there. |
