"100 pounds a month, we've near 20 mouths to fed and clothe, boy. 100 pounds for two weeks might feed a family of six with a good bit of food. Not to mention if the thefts stop and a bunch of rag wearing children show up to buy the supplies what will they think, we'll get even more idiots sent to different countries. Plus people we know, and our families might see us, the police. I'd be better not to be apprehended in broad daylight, make a scene." She pushed the ATM card back into his hand. "Save it, that way you'll have something when you get out of here. The majority of us will have to figure out what to do when we get to old for Cathriss." She let go of his arm and continued on. "This is Cathriss, lad. It'll take good care of ya till then," she poked the side of her nose in a joking manner. Now lets go get you patched up, I sur did a number on that arm of yours." she motioned to Avon and they walked across the grounds to the door. "Avon'll show you where you're sleeping, that'd be where he does. And now that you're here careful to go to the library and read the rules, alright?" She walked off leaving the two of them on thier own in the manor. "I'll go find Veran to patch ya up." she called back before disappearing into the dining room. |
