I guess one could say Adrian was 'hungry', but the proper thing to call this was one of his 'energy craves'. His right eye was glowing a deeper red then usual, it was like one of those myths of a vampire, when the vampire got blood thirsty the color of it's eyes would change. Actually he was called a vampire many times in his life and other horrible names like Leech, Mosquito, Tick, and Parasite, but he hated Vampire the most. He did not drink blood, but other's still considered him being allowed to live horrible, he lived off other's energy and pain. They obviously thought it was a sin. He did too. Adrian was in the woods for the soul purpose to find energy. It was day time too, needing energy would be the only reason for him to come out in daylight. Sunlight easily burned his skin and the brightness was too much for his right eye to take in. Adrian saw a black animal run by his feet, obviously afraid of something. He caught the animal in a small bubble of energy so that it couldn't get away. The animal was a small black cat with yellow eyes, the animal was probably lost, it's owner looking for it. He really hated taking energy away from animals, but humans were worse because they screamed. Adrian broke the energy bubble and picked up the cat, it started whimpering and meowing immediately. He tried petting it so it would calm down, but with in minutes the cat started to fall unconscious. Adrian's eyes returned their normal dark red as he walked over to a bush and placed the small cat down near it carefully. He hoped no predator would find the poor cat, or it would surely be killed and he would feel guilty. This energy would last for at the most six hours, only human energy could make him full for twenty-four hours or more. He would have to go searching for more later on. |

This one was closer than the one she'd picked up yesterday, good. Livia was still tired from coming home at 5 in the morning, she probably wouldn't try that again really soon. Livia made her way through the woods. Like usual her feet changed, and her clothing, this time a dress, was hemmed up so as not to catch really badly. It was warmer, so she'd left her coat back at the manor. Earlier Somerled and herself were talking about splitting duties, with her getting more offensive people till Natara woke up and talked to him. Her senses lacked the keenness of Somerled's but she managed to catch the noises of a whimpering cat a little ways off. Although she was heading toward the town, she decided to take a detour toward the noise for the sake of it. She didn't much worry about keeping her noise down, even a bit tired she felt that she could protect herself well enough. Apparently her ego knew no bounds. As she came upon the area where the noise came from she found a pleasant surprise. There was her quarry, feasting a upon a small cat that he placed gingerly on the ground. 'Lucky, lucky me," she said to herself before addressing the boy, " At least we know you won't have to draw from us that often." She waltzed in on him, picking up the cat to scratch it behind the ears. "looks like my work is cut out for me, hopefully you're not like the one last night and start sobbing on me. When that bookworm tells me information, I'll be damned if I get sent after crybabies. But, 'She circled around him, "You don't fit the bill well enough." She spoke as if half to herself and half to the boy. Her feet clicked as she turned to face the boy. "I'm here to take you to your new home, no ifs, and, or buts." |

Adrian looked at her weirdly, his face looking confused but his visible eye looking emotionless, like always. "I don't understand what you are talking about." His voice being as cold as ice, he spoke slow as if he didn't think she would understand. He was wearing black baggy jeans, a dark red t-shirt that was a bit tight, but it showed off his muscles nicely, and black and red stripped arm warmers. "Why would I cry? And where is this so called 'new home' you say you are going to be taking me to? Which I never even agreed to going to anyway." Adrian asked bleakly as he shoved his hands into his pants pockets. He looked down at her because there was a five inch difference between them, him being taller of the two. |

"Oh, I forgot, I have to make sure you all know what I'm talking about." She set the cat down, and wiped its hair off of her dress. "Eh, the last one cried cause her mom slapped, her.had a bit of spunk though, I insulted her and up she went in a rage, didn't take long for me to get her to quiet down though, least you haven't pulled a knife on me." She was babbling incessantly. She stopped her mouth, "Look at me, I was talking till 5 o'clock last night, and here I am again talking. Sorry I'm sleep deprived." "Was actually on my way to the orphanage to kidnap you, what a coincidence I found ya here, maybe I won't have to deal with all the 'intracasies" of the job. Eh but look at you, bet you're thinking that you'd just be able o knock me down easy, think again." She grinned, "Well we'd best be getting you home before you meet some sort of fate we wouldn't want you to. So opt to listen to me, and then follow me, or be carried away and stuck with a watcher. better be on your best behavior boy, the things you've done before won't be taken so lightly as they were in Greave at home." She spoke with a sharp tongue. She felt she'd try to talk less with this one, maybe she'd be able to get him the Cathriss and have someone else brief him or something. She swore, Somerled was getting the next one, and she was getting a good 8 hours of sleep. |

Adrian let out a large sigh, like he was stressed out, and his eyes narrowed just a bit. "Why would I try to hurt a girl? Not trying to be sexist or anything though..." He muttered almost too quiet for even him to hear. But when she mentioned the orphanage and that 'the things he's done before won't be taken so lightly' he looked a bit confused, maybe even shocked. "How do you know about me? Or more importantly what do you know about me?" Adrian asked with a bit of a mean tone. |

"Oh so you're a gentleman, how very pleasant to meet you sir." Livia laughed, "Well now that pleasantries should be over, my name is Livia, Yes I know about you, in fact you were one of the easier people to know about, because, face it, you lived in Greave. Not to mention we have a kid who can see through walls on our side. Dead parents, both under questionable circumstances, which after having you watched, and then seeing what you did to that cat it's easy to infer why. But calm down, you're not scaring me." She watched him intently from under raised brows, it's a wonder this kid wasn't found earlier, his power was one of the easier ones to see. "You see I've come here, to give you a chance to come live in a house with children just like you, well similar to you. I've also come to harass you, but that's beside the point, you'll get that a lot from me. Only here's you dilemma, it's not so much an invite as an order, with two options with I've already stated. Come quietly or put up a fight, you'll end up in Cathriss anyway. You're to be fed given a place to sleep, clothed, and kept happy." She'd let him choose and then she'd tell him more on the way there. She let out a yawn, and sat down on a nearby log, drawing in the ground cover with her toes. |

"I didn't kill my parent on purpose." Adrian muttered very softly, he really didn't want her to hear, he was just telling himself this, He barely remembered the night when he killed his mother, but the night he killed his father he at least remembered half. Both times he was intoxicated by the energy craving, but not to mention when he killed his father his father had beaten him and hour before. "You really don't know me, at all. You don't know the half of it." Adrian replied to her coldly and with a lot of anger. "So stop acting like you do." His hands were still shoved in his pockets, although he was angry he didn't look tense. "I'll go along with you and play your little game. But I won't promise I will be happy with the out come." |

"Oh come now, don't get defensive on me, of course I don't know you, but we know enough for now,and hopefully we'll get to know you better." She said laughing, "You angry people are so fun to tease, you faces squinch up and whatnot, but we'd better get going, Veran might have started cooking breakfast, you remember him right? His food is so good. But from where we are in the forest we've got an hour and a half before we get anywhere near the house. It's a good walk though." She got up and headed toward the direction she'd come from, "Come on now, and stop with the angry face, it really does ruin your features." As she walked over the rotted leaves on the ground, her dress bunched up tighter and her feet resumed their changing. Jumping over the log she stopped to look behind her, making sure the he was following her, and turning back around preparing herself to answer whatever questions he asked. |

Adrian started to follow her, he didn't really say anything until what she said about eating sunk in. "I can't eat food. I puke it up because my stomach can't keep it down." He replied to her with another sigh. "The only human food or drink I could keep down is water and milk, that's it." There was a tint of sadness in his voice. This was the reason for him being so skinny, he couldn't eat food so he didn't get fat. Another reason it was bad for him to get energy off animals was because they didn't have the nutrients he need, so if he kept gathering energy from animals he would end up falling very ill. |

"Well then, we'll see if we can't get you a good glass of milk for breakfast," She stopped again, scratching the side of her head, "Your power does pose a problem, you can't really harm us, or the Manor'll harm you, so I'm sure it can provide some form of relief, or at the least make you an exception. We get some hikers who stray off paths every so often, I suppose you could gather energy off of them before the Manor sends them off to who knows where." She started off again, hand forming a claw so she could clip of smaller branches in front of her much like a bear would. "Eh, we'll figure something out, but we need to get there first." She said absentmindedly. "Just keep in mind, It'll be your home until you're old enough, Cathriss won't let you run away." |

"As long as their not sick." Adrian replied simply. "If I take energy from someone who is sick then I get sick too." He watched her intently, her power was very interesting too. When her hand transformed into a claw he automatically got curious, but he didn't ask her about it because he thought it would have been rude. |

He was quiet, didn't talk much, and a huge change from last nights kid. It unnerved her a little, have the silent fellow following her like that. "Come on, you've got to have some questions, everybody does, Why last night I talked my jaw off till I was sore, It's probably just the sleep depravity talking but I'm restless right now. And You haven't told me your name, Somerled gets me the information, but we usually let out quarries introduce themselves you know." "Try to make you foot pattern irregular, we manor kids still have to be careful even if our crimes are closed cases, you never know when a damed upstart wants to reopen it." The manor 'ate' them anyway, but the kid that failed to cover their tracks of keep them confusing was punished, and they all wanted to avoid that. She yawned, her stomach growled, and her pace quickened. She lamented the fact that breakfast would be cold by the time they got home, whatever it was it was always better warm, she really hoped it was some hot cereal, but the chance was rather slim. |

Adrian looked down at his feet as he walked, trying the best to do what she asked him to do. He kinda spread out his feet a bit, trying to mix up the tracks. He didn't want to get on their bad side, especially if he was going to be with them for a while. "My name is Adrian Nightly." He told her with a slightly bored tone. "What's your name?" He really did have many question, he was just wasn't one to talk much. |

"I believe I told you, Adrian, it's Livia, Livia Meiland." She said frowning, "Don't do the 'sorry, must've forgot' thing, it's a given." With the way he was walking her looked ridiculous, but Livia wouldn't point it out, she'd told him to do so. So she chuckled lightly under her breath. Bending under a a low and thick branch in her way, she continued forward. The wind was blowing softly through the leaves and a couple of birds made noises in the branches above. The woods were continually growing thicker, and a couple of times she had to squeeze through trees and jump over a trench or two. "I was planning to get you in the orphanage, what were you doing out here, aside from finding food?" |

Adrian felt like he was going to fall on his face by the way he was walking, it probably looked like it too. "I was simply out for only that reason." He said, remembering that he would probably get a bad sunburn if he stayed out here for much longer. "I normally only go outside at night. The sunlight burns my skin way to easily and my eyes can't adjust to the bright light quickly- or eye not eyes..." He kept looking down because he didn't want to look up at the sky, or he would go blind in both eyes. |
