Somerled sat cross legged in between the two bookshelves, directly under the list of rules that had been etched into the wall. After his discussion with Livia about splitting duties, and getting a small snack, he wanted to finish the book he was reading. He closed his eyes and searched the two bookshelves for the right book. He found it and found his place. The book was Journey to the Center of the Earth, a classic he'd been meaning to reread. He found his place in the book and began reading it with one "eye" of his focus and watching the door with the other one. He'd heard about Natara from Livia and was sort of hoping she'd walk in so he could meet her. Until then, there were plenty of books to read.

Natara woke up. Her alarm hadn't been set, so it was about 1p.m. The long night had left her tired, but her long rest made her feel refreshed. She got up and put a fresh set of clothes on, throwing the old on her bed. She put her knife back on her belt and returned her glasses to their proper place. "Guess I better go see that Somerled guy." She exited the room and probed for Somerled's mind, she found it in the Library. She ran to the library and entered the room. "So you're Somerled right? Livia said you have jobs. I'm not the type to sit around and do nothing, so, what kind of jobs do you have around here?" She couldn't help but smile knowing she;d have some worth around the place.

Somerled slowly opened an eyelid when he saw Natara run in. He steadily got up and stretched. "Aye, I am Somerled, and I can only assume by you're identification card in your wallet, that you're Natara Hakim." He read her name slowly, it was rather unclear through the fabric of the pants and wallet. "As for jobs, can you handle yourself against a somewhat violent person?" He already knew the answer to this question. He had been spying on her for a while now and knew her personality rather well.

Sort of shocked at his ability to read her ID, Natara felt awkward but didn't flinch. "I'd suggest that you don't read my info without my permission," she said, anger rising in her voice. "And about being able to handle myself, of course I can. I wouldn't be carrying a knife if I didn't know how to use it. Plus I've got a bit of training, and a lot of military supplies." She heard him thinking of how he'd been spying on her. "Don't think so loud if you don't want me to hear, and by the way, don't spy on me. I don't like it, and I can't guarantee your safety if you continue."

Somerled yawned at her threat. She didn't realize the rules of the manor. "Listen, lassie, in Carthris there's a few rules to follow." He moved his arm towards the wall of rules. "If you break the majority of the rules, the Manor will find ways of punishing you. For some of these, it works much like an eye for an eye. Severely injuring another member, will result in your own troubles in the end. Now that you're part of the manor, I won't use my powers on you if you wish it not."

"Well then, I wish it not. But back to the subject at hand, what kind of jobs do you have for me? I'd like to do something." She hated it when others didn't become afraid from her threats, but this Manor entity seemed to be looming overhead again. "You kidnap kids right? How often do you all do it? Sounds like fun to me."

"Aye, you will be helping with the kidnappings. Everyday I go to the edge of the forest and look around for anyone with powers developing, then I get a map of their house by looking through their walls. This goes on for a few days so I can get the mannerisms and basic personality of the individual. After that, either me or Livia will go out and kidnap them. It goes pretty straightforward, as it probably was with you. They can either go peacefully, or be forcibly taken. They really don't have a choice not to go, nor would they want to not have a roof over their heads. You probably know how it was like. Well, basically I'm not the best when people get too physical. Simply put, I need the backup." He said all of this while looking through the bookshelf for the book he was reading earlier.

"Sounds fun. Spying on and kidnapping kids. So for those of us who cant spy on kids with x-ray vision, do you have binoculars or something like that? So I'll just be there for when they get rough? Anyway, do you have any jobs now? I want something to do?" Natara walked over to the rules while speaking and read over them quickly. The last one puzzled her, id didn't make sense, though she obviously hadn't been there when it had ever rained. "So how long were you spying on me anyway? How many hours did you put in a day?"

"I never really counted how many hours. I would guess at around 4 or 5 of general looking, and a few minutes scattered throughout the day of studying specific people. As for our first job..." Somerled thought for a bit and read a small notebook in his pocket. "A girl named Dahlia Aislinn. Her power is wall and ceiling walking. Interesting. I'm sure Veran would enjoy having to clean her foot prints out of the ceiling." Somerled began walking to the door. "I'll fill you in on the rest of the info on our way to the park."
