Dahlia Aislinn
Nicknames Dahl, Doll
Age: 15
Voice: Her voice is obviously feminine, though the Cockney accent and her tomboyish appearance can sometimes fool people into thinking she's a boy. When it comes to Dahlia, the volume of her voice doesn't necessarily indicate her mood; loud jokes are just as common as whispered threats. Her tone, on the other hand, gives everything away, though she doesn't get hysterical by any means of the word. Sarcasm is one of her favorite things in the world.

Power(s): It's suiting that a passive aggressive person would have a passive skill to help when she feels aggressive. Dahlia can not only climb walls, ceilings, and other such surfaces, but she can just as easily sit or lay on them. The only drawback is that the more layers of clothing she has on, the less she 'sticks' to the surface. While she would be perfectly capable of sitting on a wall or ceiling in pants for several hours, adding sweatpants or other layers over those pants will cause her to lose 'adhesiveness' over time, until she eventually falls off like an old sticker.

Surfaces that are slick with things like rain or grease are harder to stick to and require actual concentration, whereas on a regular, clean surface she can move about just as easily as people do on the ground. This power lends itself well to spying or hiding.

Physical Appearance: Coming to an unimpressive 5'2'', Dahlia is short for her age and it is doubtful that she will go through a growth spurt. Her body is not exactly lanky or athletic, but of an average, healthy build (except for her less-than-average womanly assets which she's not too fond of). She has a healthy complexion, although she'll avoid going outside if it's incredibly hot or freezing out. Her eyes are a dark brown, as is her hair, which constantly gets in her face. Her hair is of medium length, coming down just to her shoulders; Dahlia keeps it straight and rarely does anything with it.

She's not one for makeup or piercings, so people may find her to be a little plain at first. If anything, she'll paint her nails, which she tries to keep even and a little long. What she likes most about herself is her hands, so she'll often fidget or find something to toy with throughout the day.

Clothing: As for her clothes, Dahlia actually prefers them torn up and ripped. Tighter clothes are preferable to baggy ones, and shoes are only worn when they have to be (her boots are a size too big and a bit clunky). She finds bright colours to be garish and likes darker or earthy colours, though beggars can't be choosers and will wear whatever is available. She has some sewing ability and tries to patch things up if they really start to fall apart.

Personality: Some may find Dahlia to be a breath of fresh air, because with her, what you see is what you get. If she looks like she's miserable but says she's fine, she's fine. She doesn't hide anything and very much wears her heart on her sleeve. While she doesn't go out of her way to be mean or rude, she will express her opinions whether people agree with her or not. Dahlia can be blunt at times, saying things people would rather not hear, but she only tries to be truthful.

Dahlia likes to think of herself as approachable and friendly, which she is, for the most part. However, if something manages to anger her, you may want to steer clear; she has a wicked tongue when she's mad, and if you are what's pissing her off, anything said in confidence could be thrown back in your face. That said, Dahlia is a very loyal person, the kind that claim they would lay down their lives for their friends, and she really is.

Likes: Reading, music, food, going out to raid Greave for supplies, doodling, and boys
Dislikes: Liars, people who sugarcoat things, falling off of walls, extreme temperatures

Family: Dahlia's parents both live in London, though her mother is originally from Scotland. Her father is the one she's closer to, as her mother usually spent most of her time working various odd jobs and seeing to it that there was a steady income. Her father was an aspiring artist, so he basically stayed home and worked on whatever projects he had going - pastels, paintings, watercolour - and was around Dahlia and responsible for most of her upbringing.

History: Dahlia had an interesting childhood, being raised predominantly by her artist father while her mother worked. Her father was lenient, sometimes more than her mother would like, but it helped her become a fairly independent individual as she grew up.

When her power first manifested itself, she was about twelve, and her father was the only person she told. At first he didn't believe her, but once she showed him, he seemed to cope well. He swore not to tell her mother, for she was likely to react quite differently to the news that their daughter wasn't normal. It soon became a running joke between the two of them; if there was some cobwebs in the corner of the ceiling, her father would volunteer her to clean it later (her mother remained oblivious but didn't mind the help).

Things were going well for Dahlia and her family. Her father had sold a few pieces and her mother could relax while they lived off of the money. When summer came and Dahlia was out of school, her parents arranged a trip to Scotland for her. She would live with her grandparents (on her mother's side) for a little while. Dahlia didn't mind; she'd met her mother's parents a few times and they were quirky, amiable people.

Unfortunately, Dahlia let her guard down soon after she came to visit Greave. She had been showing off for a group of younger children, making chalk drawings on the outside of the store walls. It didn't occur to Dahlia that the kids would go home and, impressed, tell their parents about the weird girl from London. Needless to say, the parents didn't believe their youngsters, but the word got out anyway. Dahlia wasn't sure how to deal with the situation, but figured she'd be fine once she went back home at the end of summer.

Thoughts on current predicament: Dahlia seems quite happy with the circumstances, although she misses her father more than anything.

Other: Dahlia often volunteers for the supply raids and cooking duty.

Character Played by: Ashley, but Ashe is fine.
