So, what does everyone have plans for so far? What kind of interactions are they looking forward to or are looking for?

I was leaning towards Revenant vampire hunter; unfortunately, great minds think alike and the very ingenious Angel had this idea before me. Maybe I'll talk to her privately and see if I can get her blessing to roll this type of character. At any rate I was playing with the idea of thrown weaponry and Magnetism. Also thinking of making him an alchemist that creates debuffing or poisonous elixirs.

So I am kind of at a lose right now. I have a few concepts but I can't pick between them at the moment. So I am going to post all of my ideas here and then play whichever wins the character lottery (me rolling a dice on my desk at a later date). Note that this is as much me putting my ideas down for later review if the one the gets pick tail spins or I have more time and can run multiple characters.

Idea 1: <name pending> This character is an adventurer for hire need a rare ingredent form a dangerous jungle he is your man. Have a crate of goods that are not strictly speaking legal to transport name your price. He also brokers information for <insert spy network/government intelligence agency here>. His hobbies are cheating at dice, drinking, cheating at cards, <blur> other mens wives, drinking and wheeling and dealing in the merchent ring. This character would most likely be human but the potential of being a vampire is there as well.

Idea 2: <Xander> This character is a mercenary regardless of his own feelings and morals he is a professional and does not let that get in the way of business. What his blade can't handle he deploys the black magic taught to him by his mother. His hobbies are painting and and writing poetry he is on his own time a gentlemen but when crossed he reverts to the hard eyed, quick tempered merc. This character would be a Therianthropes.

Idea 3: <name pending> This character is a jaded noble that after the destruction of his family ended up working in the underworld. To him everything he does is seen through the lens of vengence. All his training and all his conections are secondary to revenge. To that end h has begun developing the loyalty of some of the other criminals around him Once he has his revenge only time will tell what he will do. This character would be human.

**Notes** characters with strick through are ones I have decided just wont work for various reasons.

Here's a preview of Martin's bio, but it is a heavy WIP.

Martin the Marten, a therian who did not start out as such. On the cusp of manhood, he ventured into a tavern one evening for ale and girls. It was another time and another world where anyone with enough coin, regardless of age, could get themselves a drink. So, he made a purchase for himself and then he made the mistake of buying the prettiest girl in the bar a drink. Because, as we all know, girls THAT pretty never travel alone. And so the girl asked him, "Would you mind paying for a round for my friends too?" The fool smiled and said yes and spent all his earnings for the week on booze for the ladies.

They all drank merily over the next hour or so. Then, having pushed himself to his limit, Martin drunkenly started saying stupid things like, "Hey, girl, are you or your friends gonna repay me or what?" The girls had long since left the tarvern and their con victim behind. Martin, not knowing any better, attempted to plant a kiss upon the fanged face of what turned out to be a rather disgruntled and hairy individual. The patron snapped at Martin and just barely grazed him with his teeth.

The therian was not at all apologetic for the accident, however, and personally saw Martin out the door by throwing him through it. Fortunately, for the door, someone had opened it before Martin's body inflicted any harm upon it.

Martin awoke hours later with a massive headache and little recollection of what had happened the previous night. All he knew was that he would have to walk home naked. Someone had robbed him of everything he had in the dead of night including the clothes on his back.

Martin received a severe punishment from his father for having stayed out all night. Martin just wanted to crawl into bed and puke into a bucket until he recovered from his hangover, but his father saw him spend the day cleaning the house. The stress of labor in his condition pushed him over the edge.

He starting sweating all over. His breathing became heavy. He broke out in a rash. He started growing hair in weird places. And his body underwent some frightening changes. He cried out, "I feel weird." To which his father replied from another room, "That's normal for a boy your age, son. We'll sit down together and talk about it later."

Martin would have said it wasn't THAT, but his father was done discussing anything with him until he finished cleaning out the rain gutters. Plus, Martin couldn't manage anything beyond pained groans and growls. It wasn't until Martin fell off the roof that his father went outside, terribly annoyed and shouting, to discover a monster n his property.

Confused, Martin, panicked and tried scurrying away, but the transformation, the hangover, and the 8+ foot drop had taken its collective toll on his body. He managed something of a crawling limp away and placed a good six inches from where he had fallen Before all two-hundred and fifty pounds of his father descended upon his back, pinning him where he lie and expelling all the air from his lungs.

Martin was mistaken for an intruder and taken to the local jailhouse courtesy of his own father. Given his physical state and the new shape of his mouth, Martin could not form an intelligible argument to convince his father of his identity at the time.

He spent a night in jail where he spent most of it sick and in crippling pain. Sleep offered some relief and, when he awoke the next morning in his cell, he discovered a number of things. He was back in human form. He was still in jail and in pain; so, his initial hopeful theory that the last couple days had been a dream immediately evaporated from his mind. And, finally, he had a cell mate. A therian he would have recognized from the bar had he not been plastered during the incident that landed him in his current troubles.

The therian recognized Martin and pointed and said, with no small amount of effort given his reshaped mouth, "You." Martin pointed at himself and tried inching away from the large beast man as best he could. "Me? You don't want me. I'm sick (he coughed at this point just to fake an illness) you could catch it if you get too close."

The therian shrugged and sat in a corner away from Martin. An awkward silence followed. And it continued....

Several Hours Later...

...Martin's father eventually arrived to bail the very son he had sent to jail for criminal charges. He never issued Martin an explanation or an apology. He simply issued another punishment, stating Martin owed him for the bail money.

It turned out that his father reported his child missing, possibly dead. Officials spent the day searching the city for Martin as described by his father, paying little or no attention to the creature they had locked up in a cell. The therian had been brought in on separate charges and recognized Martin not from the bar incident, but from an artist's rendition of what Martin looked like. It was when Martin spoke to him that he recalled the bar incident and decided NOT to aid in Martin's safe return home at least for a day simply because he didn't like the kid at all.

The jailer on duty eventually considered questioning Martin about Martin's whereabouts when the truth struck him that the captive marten was, in fact, Martin. So, he sent someone out to inform Martin's father who was presented with one of two options. Pay the cost of bail so that everyone could go on pretending no one but Martin had made any mistakes. Or face criminal charges for submiitting not one false report but two in addition to wasting precious police time.

(Anyone who paid any attention to the story so far already knows what choices were made. For the lazy skimmers, Martin's dad bailed him out.)

Careful to not get to far into or to attached to back story while the lore isn't finished. It sucks to retcon things.

Nothing too incredibly detailed yet. but:

Posted ImageEileen; Human, Female:

Eileen is going to be my Tank/Paladin style built character. Very stoic and hardy, but trying to overcome the taboo that comes with a female human being a warrior in today's society. She has attempted to be get official positions within human kingdoms, but has been overlooked several times because of her gender.

So for now, she's simply taking odd jobs protecting traders on route to far away places in hopes to build her reputation.
Posted ImageKuristoph; Nokken, Male:

Kuristoph is naive. Not due to his age, but his situation. He had been exiled from the Nokken Kingdom due to a series of unfortunate events that were not his fault directly. The crime was not great enough for a death sentence, but severe enough for punishment. Due to the clutz-y nature of the crime, they sought best to exile him so his accident prone nature wouldn't be a hindrance on the Nokken.

So Kuristoph found himself in Clearwater City, a River Nokken new to the world of humans. He found himself sitting on the peer contemplating his life up to this point when a kind human took him in. Not having a name pronounceable in common tongue, Kuristoph did the Nokken tradition of naming himself something he likes. So he named himself after the human.
Posted ImageDaze; Human, Male:

Daze grew up an orphan, poor and on the streets of Earthstar. He constantly avoided being picked up by the local authorities (due to mostly being an eyesore like other orphans). Eventually, their little band of orphans broke up one way or another (mostly growing up, getting jobs, etc.) But Daze stayed rambunctious, rebellious and youthful with in his teen years. He refused to conform to societies standards and resorted to pick pocketing to survive.

Sadly one day he stole from the wrong man. A tall bulky man named Bruce. Bruce had caught Daze and rather than turning him in... Bruce put Daze to work in the Circus. He saw Daze was living it rough and wasn't poor by choice. So, having a soft spot, he decided to fix the situation the only way he knew how. By bringing Daze into his family.

His Circus family.

Lucifer

I plan on RPing a female human character who is adamant that she's hallucinating, but in fact has the power to communicate with spirits. Her main job relates to stitching, so I think having spirits in these messed up bodies that she stitches would be fun to RP.
