![]() ![]() Zedj had a newfound appreciation for the massive, floating islands that were the Skylands. Where Earthstar had a snotty, depressing atmosphere, and Renfield was simply filled with many ruffians, the Skylands that had remained somewhat natural invigorated Zedj's love for the natural planet. And the view...he rarely thought of his father as it hurt him, but he knew his father would have loved this view. He was only a few miles away from a somewhat large Magicium mining operation, so he was not entirely blessed with solitude. In the distance, from the tree he found himself perched in, he could see a group of miners most likely taking a break. He was far enough away that he felt comfortable to sing a song. It was one he had heard in the land of the Wight, a happy, delightful tune to mirror the beautiful morning. |

Dejoke informed him that indeed, he was putting it on the wrong way. Zedj struggled for a moment to remove them from his body, and then with a heave and a huff, threw them to the ground. He crouched down for a moment, and sniffed at the pants, and then picked them up once more, begrudgingly. The instructions Dejoke had laid out for the bird were so to the point and exact that even Zedj found trouble causing trouble. Of course, he still would. He had them backwards, that was his only sin. He actually felt somewhat proud of himself when he placed the wrong leg in the left leghole and then the wrong leg in the right leghole, and then straightened them onto his body as best as they would fit. Awkwardly, due to Zedj's feathers they actually stayed in place but behind him rested the unbuttoned hem. "Have I performed the duties correctly?" |

Dejoke watched the bird put the pants on. Aside from the fact that he put them on backwards he more or less acomplished the goal of putting on pants. "Well you have them on backwards. Aside from that its fine. I am sure you will get the hang of pants eventually. Once you do we can move on to more complicated articles of clothing like shirts and perhaps socks." Dejoke decided he would find out where this bird came from and journey there. If the whole race was like Zedj he would preach the gospel of pants to them. |

"B-...Backwards?" Zedj asked, poking at the garment slightly. Dejoke's plan did not stop with pants, however, and he made his declaration to try shirts and even socks. Zedj quickly shook his head, and quickly worked to take the pants off of him, grunting as he did so. "Huzzah!" Zedj announced, holding the pants up in the air above his head. "I believe I would like to voice my dissatisfaction with the idea of these 'shirts' and these 'socks', my new companion. Zedj wishes to keep his feathers free, most certainly at least the feathers on his wings!" |

Dejoke inwardly sighed and the bird was naked again. Still he seemed to have the idea down at least. Perhaps in the future he would not startle people with his lack of decency. Then of course he expressed his dissatisfaction with the idea of socks and shirts. Dejoke looked at his feet for a moment. "Well perhaps we can skip socks and as for shirts I can make a shirt for you that leaves your wings free. Although I imagine as long as you at least wear pants fewer people will react badly to your pressence." Dejoke repacked his pack and pulled it on. He would not linger much longer unless there was due cause for him to remain in the pressence of the bird named Zedj. |

At long last, someone was speaking the way Zedj could appreciate. Dejoke claimed to craft him a shirt that would leave his wings free-he had attempted to wear these kinds of clothes before, and he found them unsatisfactory. The tiny wizard's final statement was a suggestion that pants alone would be enough deter people's negative attention to his nudity. The bird was quiet for just a moment, but had a question. "Why have you found yourself here, Dejoke?" Zedj asked, cocking his head slightly. "This Skyland is lonely, overtaken by mostly wildlife. What business has brought you here?" |

Dejoke paused in his preperations to leave he was stopped by the question that Zedj asked. The truth was simple enough he had fallen prey to a prank from his fellow apprentices. He did not have any reason to lie to him of course he had not reason to tell the truth either. "Well I was told by my fellow apprentices at the tailoring shop I work at of a trade fair. I should have known it was a prank but I am new to the area so I was caught off guard. Still looking on the bright side I got to explore the area. I also got to met you and teach you of pants. What brings you to the area if I might ask." |

And just like that, a fire had been sparked within Zedj. Dejoke spared some of the details of his story, but it was still all the heartbreaking to Zedj. The man's fellow apprentices had played a prank on him, and sent him here to the mostly uninhabited Skyland. Zedj did not think that was a very wholesome or honorable action, especially if Dejoke was peers of sorts with these people. The bird stood proudly. "I believe I was here for a reason today, Dejoke," Zedj announced, shifted forward slightly. "While I was simply lounging, I believe it is my duty now to rectify the actions that have been taken against you by your fellow apprentices. You say that was this 'prank, yes?" The bird closed his eyes and nodded happily. "I propose a deal, new friend. I shall help you 'prank' these ruffians as payment for my pants. Does this seem acceptable?" |

Dejoke listened to Zedj and wanted to rub his temples this bird was making him tired. "I had ideas on how to get them back already but I would like to hear your idea for how to prank them back. After all sometimes two heads are better then one." Though Dejoke felt one head was better the two if one of them was Zedj. "My plan had been to send them to the worst place on the planet. I bet just a week there and they will be begging me to let them apologise." Dejoke of course meant he was sending them to his home of Menawe. |

"The worst place on the planet?" Immediately, Zedj thought of being an Ogre's dinner, or in the crushing grasp of a troll's grip. The small red-haired man thought that they would survive this, and Zedj's beak opened, and he stammered. "Perhaps you should have some mercy, new friend. It is indeed not kind of them to waste your time, but you must be sure that you don't severely hurt or perhaps even kill them," Zedj scratched his neck. "In any case, that sounds like a large amount of time and effort. Have you considered perhaps dressing them in fine clothing that they hold dear and then soaking them with a large tub of water?" He giggled to himself. Such a simple idea amused him. |

Dejoke was not sure how anyone could die in the Menawe nation except maybe of boredom. Zedj's idea was far to immature for Dejoke. Still maybe something simple would be better then something big. "Perhaps you are right Zedj it would be far to cruel to send them to the Menawe nation. Your idea while entertaining would be to quick. Perhaps i will tell them I will get them back and let them dread what I am going to do to get them back. Then in a few months of them anticipating what I shall do. I shall strike and get them in a way they don't expect." Dejoke nodded oh he would make them suffer all right. |
