Why did this have to happen today, in this place of all places. De'agen smacked his hands to his face and rubbed it, groaning, before furowing his brow, "look we were told we would get three gallons of bitter cactus juice," he said for the fifth time to the Nao-kira, who watched him like he was an idiot as the Glaistig was beginning to take his earrings out of his ears. The sun had heated the metal rings and studs to be unbearable to leave in his ears.

"My master is expecting three gallons of juice, he was told there would be three gallons, he sent me here to pick up three gallons. You're telling me there's only one!?"

"Only one," the Nao-kira hissed.

"So where did the other two go!?"

"One barrel, no others," the Nao-kira hissed and the glaistig rubbed his face again.

"Alright, fine, one barrel, but we're only going to pay for one gallon, not three, so I'm dividing the agreed upon price into a third--."

"No coin, no barrel!" exclaimed the Nao-kira and De'agen growled out loud.

"Look, I am not about to stand here and let my master get ripped off, I will either be paying a fair price for the one barrel that you do have, which is two less than what was promised, or I will find a spot who will sell for a fair price and who won't swindle us. I will be back here by sundown and you better have made your decision."

The glaistig turned tightening the strings of the purse on his belt, hooves digging into the compacted dirt as he left, grumbling, to look for some shade, and maybe something to drink. He'd settle for water.
