![]() ![]() Open to one character A perfect night for exploring, or potentially trespassing. Kuristoph did not know if this land was owned by anyone in particular, but the man he paid to fly him here on a personal aircraft didn't seem to object. It could just be that the man was simply overpaid since Kuristoph didn't quite have a baring on what was a fair rate for services yet. Still, once he saw this particular skyland on his airship ride to Earthstar he had to come. It had the most beautiful lake that looked so tranquil and peaceful to him. Plus it was abandoned as far as he could tell. It would be the perfect place for him to swim without disturbing anyone. "Thank you Pim for this blessing," Kuristoph muttered to himself whilst floating on his back in the water. The fact that he is not wearing any clothes, as most Nokken would while in the water, is the main reason he sought this place out. The other reason was to find a place he was sure not to find another Nokken. Just better to avoid running into anyone he once knew. Edited by Kuristoph, 29/04/2018 - 10:00 pm.

"Excellent," he added before removing some jewelry from his bag. Namely a necklace of bright-non-blue metals and gems. None of which looked to be excessively expensive, but they were pretty and very feminine in human culture. A few bracelets for both hands, his ankles, and rings for almost all of his fingers. He had very likely traded most of his belongings for the pretty colored jewelry that dawned colors very uncommon to his native land. But the color blue was absent from all of them. Pinks, purples, and oranges in a gold-like material dawned his body. "Oh, um," he paused at the question remembering when he peered down the edge after arriving here. "I'll face you, if you don't mind," he requested, unsure that he'd have the stomach to face the ground for very long before getting anxious. At least not without getting used to it. |

Kuristoph pulled out some jewelry, some very lovely pieces that... didn't match the ensemble he wore. Maybe when they got to Hakert, and if ne had the money, ne could get him some more masculine clothing. He put on the jewelry and made the choice to face nem while flying. It would make flying a little easier since he could hold on to nem while ne held onto him, but ne would be lying if ne had hoped he would make that choice, and also that ne had hoped he wouldn't. Ne didn't allow nemself the luxury of debating the complex and contradicting wants as ne silently motioned for Kuristoph to follow, leading him to the edge. Given his answer ne had a feeling heights was a problem for him, so it was ne that walked to the edge, turning nir back to it, facing him and opening nir arms. "Alright, hold onto me, with your legs even if you feel insecure, just don't grab where my wings are," ne again pushed down the thought of embracing and holding tightly to this man and swallowed. If the bullies ne had known in the academy ever knew ne had flown holding onto the world's most beautiful man, they would have eaten their feathers. That brought nem some solace. Not much, but some. |

"Okay, I'll do that," Kuristoph said with a deep sigh before moving basically up to Angeles' face. He gingerly wrapped his arms around her neck, blushing lightly from being so close he could feel her breath. "I'll, uh, probably wrap my legs around, I think," he claimed without much confidence, doing just as he said. He had never felt more like a child before, but couldn't keep from looking at Angeles' face the entire time. It would have been rude for him to look anywhere else in his mind. "I'm ready," he declared, eager for them to start so that they could hurry to Renfield and fly in a manner a bit safer for him. |

Kuristoph laid out his plans to hold on with everything he had, and Angeles prepared nemself. He stepped up to her, wrapping his arms around nir neck, staring into nir eyes. Ne looked back into his, like looking into the sapphiran depths of the ocean itself, glistening in the dawnlight. Ne movedm wrapping nir arms around him firmly, feeling the muscles of his back through the thin fabric of his shirt as nir own well-muscled arms tightened around him, as if ne could say simply with that motion, 'you're safe with me.' He never looked away from nem. Ne was so close to his face that it would take a breath of a moment to bend and kiss his lips, to taste what ne could only imagine the sweetsalt sea would be like on his breath, as nir body flushed against his. Ne chose to jump off the skyland instead. Tucking Kuristoph's head under nir chin, ne leaned back to where gravity pulled nem down, passing by the glowing streaks of earth that ran through the skyland. Once they cleared ths inverted mountain ne spread nir wings, catching them on the breeze and leveling out right into a soar. Angeles' fingers pressed into where they gripped, one one his shoulder, one on his hip, with nir arms crossing his back like safety straps. Ne didn't look at him, tried hard not to think of anything but the adjustments ne needed to make with the added weight, so that ne wouldn't tire out on the way to Renfield. That meant soaring on warm currents where ne could find them. With the sun up that would be easy. Nir large black and white wings beat the air, creating a current of swirling air that would tussle through Kuristoph's hair and clothing, possibly make it difficult for him to hear, so ne couldn't ask if he was alright. Instead ne angled nir body, feeling the faint transition from cold to warmth, and just kept nir wings spread, almost gliding on the warm air. |

And almost in an instant, the two were soaring. At least Kuristoph thought they were. The moment he felt the wind he closed his eyes and held Angeles so close to him that he could hear the heart beating within their chest. It was comforting to hear, almost soothing the fear racing throughout his body. Almost. While mentally, Kuristoph was assuring himself that everything was fine, his body disagreed. He clung to her like an infant koala to the back of it's mother. It would take the will of every God of Water to convince him to let go for in this moment, his survival instincts were in full control of his body. Otherwise Kuristoph's mind would have wondered a bit due to being so very close to Angeles' body. He was, after all, a young male in his prime. It would have been only natural. Well, natural enough given his unique circumstance. "Eep..." was the best he could ever manage when he attempted to open his mouth, thankfully nothing louder than a whisper. |

Kuristoph's entire body was like stone with how desperately he was clinging to Angeles' body. Ne felt almost sorry for him but it wouldn't do any good to turn around now. The most ne could do was squeeze his body reassuringly and try to comfort him. The flight was smooth, only occasionally did Angeles have to beat nir wings to climb higher to warmer air, or slid down the current to get out of a headwind. The sun was well over the horizon by the time Angeles spotted the architecture of Renfield skyland. Giving Kuristoph's body another promising squeeze, ne angled down and began a slow decent towards the docks. Ne leveled out just before reaching the surface, and turned nir body upright, beating nir wings to slow to a stop. The claws of her feet tiked lightly against the stone. She held onto Kuristoph for a moment longer, easing nir grip on nem to make sure he was steady on his feet, and that ne could catch him if he stumbled. His legs were probably not happy from being used like they were for so long. Ne ignored the stares and murmurs that they were getting, and a sharp yellow eye was cast at a man approaching looking like he was about to demand something, and with one arm, the other still cradling Kuristoph, shoved nir passport under his nose to distract him while ne went back to tending to the nokken. |

Kuristoph clung to Angeles' a moment longer than needed. His body needed the extra time to be convinced that they were indeed on solid ground. With a timid release of her body and two feet firmly planted to the ground, Kuristoph promptly fell to his rear as his knees didn't get with the program. "Oof," he sounded, trying to get his body to cooperate with him. "Sorry, knees weren't ready," he laughed nervously, his body finally regaining a sense of balance as he picked himself up. "And thank you, this is Renfield. I mean, I've seen pictures in books about it. I've never been myself, but I read that it had docks for us to travel," he added, giving his reason for wanting to come here. He figured it was one of the closer skylands with docks. Perhaps he should have asked Angeles if that were true rather than guessing based on his incredibly limited knowledge of the surface world. Lessons for later. "So, uh, do you want to leave right now or find a place to relax for a moment?" He asked, not sure how winded she would be after carrying him. |

When Kuristoph leaned awa from nem, ne gently let him go, only to be kneeling in front of him when he fell, too slow to catch him. He apologized and ne shook nir head, offering nir hand to help him up. "To my knowledge all inhabited skylands have their own port," ne said, turning and getting nir passport back from the grumbling man, putting it in nir pocket, "and we are at the docks now. So we could leave as quickly as the next airship is heading for Hakert." Ne levels a somber gaze on Kuristoph, "I'd like to remain here as short of a time as possible, but if you want to rest we can rest." Ne glanced at the dock attendant as he shuffled off, resisting the urge to just grab Kuristoph and wrap him up protectively in nir wings. Ne didn't like this place for its reputation. Ne was admittedly sore, but nir mindset was that any relaxing could be easily done on the airship. |

Kursitoph picked up on the vibes Angeles was selling quite well, eager to make her as comfortable as possible after invading nir personal space for so long. Angeles could tell Kuristoph that they flew for hours and he'd believe that. Time passes oddly when one is afraid of falling to their death. "Right, lets head out right away then," he agreed, turning towards the docks to acquire tickets for passage. "Two to Hackert, please. First ship setting sail if you could," he added with a smile, sliding his papers forward from his bag. The man behind the counter had a very 'no questions asked' attitude, barely giving the papers a glance before sliding two tickets forward grunting something in a low voice. It took Kuristoph a moment to process what he said due to the gurgle nature of the man's voice but he finally processed the amount requested. Without hesitation he quickly pulled out the appropriate amount and put it forward, paying for both Angeles and himself. "There, you flew me, I'll fly you this time," he said with a smile while handing Angeles' her ticket. Granted his wording was a bit off and made it sound... well, weird. "Our ship is this way," he pointed, leading the way with enthusiasm. |

Kuristoph agreed to leave quickly, turning and walking right to the ticket booth with his papers and asking for two tickets. When the tickets were passed to him, Angeles began to reach for nir share of the pay, but Kuristoph fronted the money right away, causing Angeles to blink a bit, bewildered. He turned and handed nem nir ticket, stating that since ne had flown him here, he would fly nem to Hakert. Seemed fair, but still ne looked at nir ticket a bit confused, idly following Kuristoph while studying the ticket, then looking up at the ship that was the one taking them to nir home. It wasn't bad looking, but ne supposed anything leaving this place would look like a gilded vessel. Ne remained somber, vigilant and guarded the entire walk to the ship, nir wings half-open ready for whatever ne needed to do to defend nemself and Kuristoph. But they arrived to the ship without incident, and another show of passports and tickets saw them on-board. Ne didn't relax quiet yet, looking at nir ticket again to see if they had a private area to stay or if this was one of those crowded public ships. "It will be nice to be home," ne rumbled low. What ne meant to say was that it would be nice to be anywhere than here. Except Kunrun. Ne would be happy to never set foot there again if ne could avoid it. |
