![]() ![]() Open to one character A perfect night for exploring, or potentially trespassing. Kuristoph did not know if this land was owned by anyone in particular, but the man he paid to fly him here on a personal aircraft didn't seem to object. It could just be that the man was simply overpaid since Kuristoph didn't quite have a baring on what was a fair rate for services yet. Still, once he saw this particular skyland on his airship ride to Earthstar he had to come. It had the most beautiful lake that looked so tranquil and peaceful to him. Plus it was abandoned as far as he could tell. It would be the perfect place for him to swim without disturbing anyone. "Thank you Pim for this blessing," Kuristoph muttered to himself whilst floating on his back in the water. The fact that he is not wearing any clothes, as most Nokken would while in the water, is the main reason he sought this place out. The other reason was to find a place he was sure not to find another Nokken. Just better to avoid running into anyone he once knew. Edited by Kuristoph, 29/04/2018 - 10:00 pm.

"I bet it is, would you like to go see before or after Dinner?" Kuristoph asked while getting dressed into the clothing purchased from earlier. His only alternative would be to dress into the clothing he came here in and that wouldn't do. Not to mention the clothes purchased were still clean. He only wore them once and then quickly went to bed for a nap. Once dressed and ready, Kuristoph made sure Angeles was completely dressed before opening the door so they could head out to their destination. Wherever Angeles decided they were going. "Let go have fun," Kuristoph declared, waiting for Angeles to exit so that he could close the door behind him. And with that, they were off. |

Kuristoph presented nem with a choice: go see the observation room now, or after dinner. Ne paused, looking out the window a moment to consider. There was still some light in the sky from the sunset, turning it a sort of sickly color before the blue-black of night could fully set in. "After dinner," ne concluded, turning to follow Kuristoph out the door, which he closed behind nem with a declaration of going to have fun. Ne smiled at the man before leading the way towards the cafe area. It was impractical, they had food still from lunch, but the promise of entertainment was what drew nem to decide to spend a bit more money on the dinner, since it was nir turn to pay for things. Upon arriving ne looked around immediately for thier strange waiter, but didn't see him right away, instead ne smiled at the host and held up two fingers, allowing them to be seated, once again, at a small personal table. "We were told a sort of show was going on tonight?" "Every night sir," the host responded as they sat, "we have the quartet Ojichee provide ambiance music for dinner every evening." "Excellent, thank you," ne had never heard of the Ojichee quartet, so this would be a new experience for both nem and Kuristoph. |

Kuristoph followed with a zest in his step. He was eager to see the show that was promised by the waiter... that he forgot the name of. Kuristoph felt bad because he was normally really good with names. He would have to fix that by asking the waiter, it was only the polite thing to do. After all, he was a nice man. Weird, but nice. "Ooh, the quartet Ojichee," Kuristoph spoke in an exciting tone as if he knew who they were. "What's a quartet?" he asked in hushed tones to Angeles not only being completely unaware of who they were but being unaware of what a quartet was. Kuristoph had much to learn about his new world and Angeles was very likely going to be teaching him a lot about it herself. Which was fair since he seemed to be teaching her new things too. So it was fair. Granted Kuristoph wasn't aware of this exchange even happening. So an occurrence of debt, if there was to be one, was very well ignored by him. "Welcome, I will be yo... oh," the same Ekahu from before spoke after they were seated before pausing... to a subtle expression of glee take his face. "Pardon me, I meant to say I am honored to serve you two again, can I get you something to drink?" he asked, looking the two over before pausing at Kuristoph. "Something Hard again?" he inquired with a tone of playfulness. "Yes please," Kuristoph answered back without any hint of jest. "And you m'lady?" the waiter asked Angeles with a genuine sound of curiosity. |

The host left after Kuristoph expressed his excitement, then turned to Angeles for some clarification. "A quartet is a group of four," ne explained calmly, idly adjusting the utensils and plates that were before nem, "in the case of entertainment it usually means a group of four musicians." By the time ne finished the waiter was already there, and ne smiled at the familiar face. Kuristoph ordered another hard drink and Angeles needed to consider responsibilities again, before deciding that there was little trouble the two of them could get into on the ship. The worst that could happen would they somehow force a door open while in flight. Ne frowned. Maybe ordering alcohol would still be a bad idea, granted, Kuristoph couldn't very well get drunk, so maybe it was alright? "I'll have what he's having," ne said finally with something of an adventurous smile. Ne leaned forward and rested nir chin on the back of nir hands, glancing to Kuristoph once the waiter left. If the nokken wasn't going to bring up the book, ne sure as hell was not going to either. "Do you have an idea what you'd like to try this time?" ne asked, filching nir menu and one for Kuristoph as well. |

Kuristoph couldn't help but smile after Angeles ordered her drink. He liked sharing experiences with people and doing the same thing they're doing. Something about it made him feel closer and better understand them more. Almost like bonding. More specifically he liked to watch how people enjoyed the thing he was enjoying it. It gave him insight to if the thing he liked was as good as he believed it to be or if it was just a personal preference. So in a way he used it as a way to learn about not only himself, but the other person. "I think..." Kuristoph paused for a moment, leaning forward and resting his chin onto his hands much like Angeles. "I'll have what you're having too," he teased, feeling adventurous and letting fate decide his meal tonight. "Ladies and gentlemen, we thank you all for coming out here tonight, without further adieu... The Quartet Ojichee," the host from earlier announced from the small stage. Four Ekahu approached the stage, all dressed in matching uniforms as the few people there having dinner at the same time applauded. Kuristoph, of course, clapped as well since everyone else was. It was the right thing to do after all. With a clearing of throats, and a small beginning hum for harmonization... the four began to sing. At least, one of them was. The other three were perfectly impersonating instruments as if they had them in hand playing them. Kuristoph's eyes were lit and jaw dropped. |

Angeles was perusing nir menu when Kuristoph stated he would order the same thing as nem, and ne looked at him mischievously, while he sat with his chin on his hands. That was a dangerous game to play with nem, he was fortunate that ne was not in a habit of playing cruel pranks on people, just pulling out feathers, which he had none of. "Alright," ne almost purred, going over the menu again with the new information in mind, trying to find something ne knew he had never had before. As ne searched the band was announced and ne looked up to see a group of four ekahu, all dressed the same. Ne heard the four of them harmonize, and then one of them began to sing while the other three imitated instruments, utilizing the natural ekahuan ability for mimicry to its fullest. Smirking a bit, Angeles turned to the menu again, passing over everything seafood, and the one troll dish, not understanding how anyone in their right mind would want to eat troll. Ceffyl dor was on the menu, which ne found interesting as ne didn't know anyone ate ceffyl dor, ne suspected it didn't taste too differently from horse though. Ne was at a bit of a loss, everything else on the menu was rather mundane, options of red meat and white meat, until ne saw that there were salad options, among them was a laeradr leaf salad with ithunn apple slices and cuts of chicken breast. Intrigued at the idea, Angeles closed nir menu, decided, and enjoyed the music with Kuristoph till the waiter returned. |

Kursitoph was so distracted with the band that he didn't even notice Angeles flip through the menu and decide their meal for them. He was trying to work out how the three were making the noises they were. One was imitating the strumming of a guitar, another the piano, and the other some bass of some sort as the final one sung over. It was a slow song, but Kuristoph was impressed none-the less. "Your drinks," The waiter announced, placing two very pink looking drinks before them with whip cream on top. Both drinks had strawberry slices lining half of the drink. "This is a house special, Strawberries and Cream Cocktail," he informed, hoping that the two would enjoy the unique drink to this ship. Granted the concept itself wasn't unique, many places have a similar concept of a drink. Theirs is unique in the way its prepared only. Mostly just the whip cream. It was a rare technique due to the labor put into whipping cream. "Are the two of you ready to order?" the waiter inquired as he watched Kuristoph turn to his cold icey drink with awe. ...the colors were pretty. |

Angeles kept glancing at Kuristoph as he listened to the music in awe. It made nem smile, and ne didn't interrupt his fascination. It wasn't until the waiter came with very pink drinks did he get distracted, and immediately fascinated by the drink. Angeles moved nirs closer to nem and looked to the waiter as he asked for thier orders. Ne looked at Kuristoph as he slowly turned his drink, smiled, then looked to the waiter. "Two of the laeradr salads please," ne said. Hopefully it wasn't a terrible idea, what ne knew of laeradr was that it was a foliage whose leaves tasted like mead, and ithunn apples were a crips sort of sweet that was supposed to be so potent it reinvigorated youth. Ne hoped that it wouldn't be too sweet, especially for someone not used to sweet. The chicken and dressing would hopefully be a nice contrast of savory to all that sweet. Ne didn't know, but trying new things was about not knowing, so ne could only hope that ne didn't fuck it up. On that note, ne took a drink of the strawberry liquor. For the courage boost. |

The waiter nodded and bowed before leaving the two to their drinks and music. "This drink is so pink," Kuristoph stated the obvious, picking off one of the strawberries from the edge that had built up some of the cream and put it into his mouth. His expression elated even more from the taste of cream for his first time. "This is really good," Kuristoph declared, moving to take a sip of the actual drink now only to have some cream lining his mouth without being aware of it. "It's so cold..." he noted after setting the drink back down, turning to look at Angeles. "What do you think of it... and the music?" he inquired with genuine curiosity. |

"It is pink," ne concured, smiling at the stating of something so obvious. Ne took nir glass and held it away enough that ne could get a look at it, "it's almost an artform the way they design some of these," ne mentioned, setting the glass down, "the way the strawberries line the glass the darker pink fading gradually to the lighter softer colors at the top where the ice and creme mix into it," nir finger lightly touched the glass as ne described all this, before setting nir hand down on the wood. "I've seen some very beautiful drinks in my travels," ne concluded, resting nir chin in nir palm, cursing the chair for having a back and preventing nem from sitting straight. Kuristoph turned to nem and asked what ne thought and ne smiled, "the drink is very sweet, though I have to admit I resist the temptation to just mix the creme into it throughout, if only so that it will stop getting on my lips every time I drink. And the music," ne turned and looked to the quartet, listening to the mood they set for the evening. "I admit, it's difficult when what I have to compare musicians like this is the royal Kuvaren choir. This quartet is good, but I think they will need to be very unique if they want to be something bigger than the dinner show of a cruise liner." Ne looked to Kuristoph again, "what about your opinion? Other than the drink is cold and pink?" |
