![]() ![]() Open to one character A perfect night for exploring, or potentially trespassing. Kuristoph did not know if this land was owned by anyone in particular, but the man he paid to fly him here on a personal aircraft didn't seem to object. It could just be that the man was simply overpaid since Kuristoph didn't quite have a baring on what was a fair rate for services yet. Still, once he saw this particular skyland on his airship ride to Earthstar he had to come. It had the most beautiful lake that looked so tranquil and peaceful to him. Plus it was abandoned as far as he could tell. It would be the perfect place for him to swim without disturbing anyone. "Thank you Pim for this blessing," Kuristoph muttered to himself whilst floating on his back in the water. The fact that he is not wearing any clothes, as most Nokken would while in the water, is the main reason he sought this place out. The other reason was to find a place he was sure not to find another Nokken. Just better to avoid running into anyone he once knew. Edited by Kuristoph, 29/04/2018 - 10:00 pm.

"Oh, so you are like the..." Kuristoph paused, not out of fear... but because he wasn't sure what the humanish word for it was. "um," he sounded, thinking hard on it. He sighed for a moment before simply making a series of clicks and whistles. "They are the Nokken who have moved from living in the darkest parts of the Ocean into the brighter parts with other Nokken. They sleep mostly during the day... or wait, no, I am confused. That is the other one," Kuristoph scrunched his mouth realizing that he had confused Nocturnal with diurnal. "Sorry, you are the opposite of them. They are Nocturnal," he laughed awkwardly while scratching at the back of his head. "I look forward to when you can take me there. I don't have plans. I typically stick to coastal cities, especially ones with lots of trade. I tend to be able to outfish most of the workers there. It's easy work," he explained, confessing that he is but a simple fisherman by profession. Although in his culture he would be called a Hunter. But by no means could he rival those who actually hunt back home. |

Kuristoph perked up after nir revelation, immediately likening it to the nature of nokken, beginning to, but seemingly failing at, accurately describing how it worked. Ultimately he realized that what he was describing was instead nocturnal, and Angeles smirked. "Yes, the opposite if that," ne confirmed with a nod. Kuristoph then expressed his excitement of one day going to visit Hakert, admitting that he stuck to coastal cities, unsurprisingly, and worked as a fisherman, again, unsurprising. "Hakert," ne began, looking over at where the mountains were again, "has an island, Ohush, or 'Beak' Islands as the humans usually call it. It's the major trading hub between the Spectral Islands and Hakert," ne looked over at him, "it's not the mountains of my birthplace but if you'd be more comfortable, I could meet you there and show you what the tropics of our land has to offer." Ne smiled, "if you're still willing after, maybe I can convince you to ascend the mountains with me, see what Hakert's truly like." |

"Oh, Ohush beak island then?" Kuristoph reiterated, combining both names in a joking manner. "I'm sure if I ask for it in such manner everyone would understand," he added, finding a simple solution to the whole, 'some call it this, but others this,' dilemma he seems to keep running into. He should simply just call it by both names to save time and make sure everyone understood him. More often than not when he attempted such things people simply looked at him oddly. They usually understood, but they still gave him odd 'foriegner' looks. Especially if they were human. "I would love to meet you there and scale the mountains of Hakert with you, I would get to treat you to a fresh catch before we ascend to show my gratitude as well," he added, wanting to at least show some tribute towards ner kindness. After all, Angeles was being rather patient and kind with him. Why wouldn't he pay her in kind? |

Angeles chuckled. It was silly but his logic was sound, provided the people he spoke to spoke either Ekahuan or Humanish. An Obagr would likely just look at him funny. He did agree to meet with nem on the island and climb the mountain with nem. He would also bring a fresh fish treat to eat before doing so. Poor man was going to be sorely disappointed if he thought it was going to be an easy. There would be at least one boat ride from island to mainland, and then a trip to even get to the mountain in question. Ne should probably warn him.... Ne looked at him, then smiled, "fish would be great," ne admitted, "it wouldn't last the whole journey, though. I'll treat you to some Kuvaran cuisine in turn, on our way to the mountain," ne smiled, "gratitude goes both ways, of course." |

"Oh, but you are treating me to seeing your homeland. I can bring lots of fish, although... I am curious what the food would be," Kuristoph paused, lost in thought about what Angeles had offered him. He was making a light humming sound with his lips as he pondered the conundrum. "Okay, I accept. That sounds fun," he settled, hitting the open palm of his hand with the closed fist of his other hand as if he had indeed settled on their course of action. This was going to be the adventure of a lifetime for him. Hopefully the weather would allow for them to go completely unhindered and not delay them anymore than required. Kuristoph has yet to experience the cold weathers of the north and may prove to be naive to them. Angeles has ner work cut out for her. |

Angeles smirked, as if the food was going to be something spectacular, but it really depended on who prepared it. Ekahu didn't have much of a sense of taste, Valkyrie did, but then, Nokken didn't have much of a sense of taste either did they? Maybe nir plan to wow Kuristoph with food wasn't very thought through, and ne pouted thoughtfully. But the nokken man accepted regardless, and ne smiled, motioning Kuristoph to come away from the edge so that they could go back to his pool of water. "We should keep in contact then," ne said as ne turned, "so that we can plan to be free at the same time. The way you speak makes it sound like you travel a lot, do you have an address I can sen letters or telegrams to?" |

"I, uh," Kuristoph sounded as if he had been caught into a lie of some sort. "I don't exactly have a home. I tend to travel and make due with what resources I can gather," he explained bashfully while walking towards the small pool of water. "I did have a traveling partner for a while, but we've since gone our seperate ways... so now I'm mostly traveling alone," he finished with parsed lips, kicking at the water with his big toe in order to make some tiny ripples. "So I don't think you'd be able to write me since I don't know where I'll be next," he continued, moving to sit on the egde so that his legs were in the water. "I was honestly going to just go to Ohushu Beak island right away and reside there until you arrived," Kuristoph admitted. In truth, he would have stayed on that island waiting for Angeles for months... perhaps even longer. She could have flown away and never gone to that island and he'd have been there the entire time waiting for her. He was still a bit too trusting like that. |

Kuristoph admitted to not having an address, which was something ne had expected and was trying to plan ahead for. The next plan of action would be to set a date now to meet at the island in the future. Ne was about to suggest this until the nokken revealed that he had planned to just go to the island from here and wait for nem. Angeles stared at the man. It could have been a really long time before ne had been able to go to the island had ne not known he was going right away. Ne might have taken a contract, gone to work in somewhere like Menawe where ne would have to fight a troll. Naked. Again. Ne shook the memory from nir mind and looked to Kuristoph again. Alright new plan: "Well, if you intend to leave right away, I could go with you immediately as well." As it were, ne had no contract and was not working at the moment, the month's rent was already paid so ne had no obligation to be home for a while. Ne was as free as ne could be at the moment. Ne smiled, "you said you were scheduled to be picked up in a few hours?" |

"Yes, a few hours still," Kuristoph replied, looking up at Angeles from his seated position. "Are you sure you wish to depart with me now? I wouldn't want to ruin any plans you had," Kuristoph pleaded due to the guilt rising inside of him. Angeles was already doing so much for him, he didn't want to cut short any plans they may have been looking forward to. "Plus you'd be waiting here for a few hours with little to do," he murmured, feeling bad still. The thought of having Angeles fly him from here hasn't yet crossed his mind again. |

Kuristoph confirmed it would be some time before his transport arrived. He then questioned if ne were certain ne wanted, or rather could, leave immediately, and ne smiled. "I flew here from my home in the middle of the night to take a bath on a random skyland," ne laughed, "I have no plans you'll be taking away from." The nokken then was concerned that ne would be bored waiting the entire time on the skyland with him, and ne smirked, "I'm sure we could pass the time somehow," ne answered, looking at the pool of water, dipping nir legs in again, "you could help me preen, we could find some rocks and wash the clothes, we could find ways to make accessories out of leaves and grass, we could sleep," ne grinned, "we have many options." |
