Challenge Five Houseguests, I hope you have had time to settle into your new home. As you probably know, the Heads of Household, Jessie, Sindy, and Nicole, have nominated Zach R.C., and Spencer, for eviction. Now, it's time to play out the Power of Veto competition, and see if someone will be removed from the block. Please remember, if someone is removed from the block, the Head of Household who nominated them will choose the new nominee. The winner of the Power of Veto may NOT be chosen as a replacement. Here's how this challenge works. Below, I have a list of fifteen questions. In your confessionals, within the next 24 hours, you must answer a minimum of three of them. The challenge itself is simple. After all answers are submitted, the moderators will go through each question, in the order they were asked and determine, out of those who answered the question, who was closest to the correct answer. That person will earn one (1) point. The first person to gain three (3) points will win the Power of Veto. If nobody earns 3 points, then the player with the most points after 15 questions will be the winner. If, after the completion of 15 questions, a winner is not found, the person who comes closest without going over the correct answer on the tiebreaker question who is still in the challenge will win the Power of Veto. However, in each question, if there is more than one respondent, the person who submits an answer furthest from the correct answer will be eliminated from the challenge, and lose all points acquired up to that point. If there is only one person to answer any question, that person will gain a point regardless of how close or far away from the correct answer their answer is. 1. What is the number of glasses of milk which the average dairy cow can give in her lifetime? 2. How many sheep per person live on the Falkland Islands? 3. How many rooms are in Buckingham Palace? 4. How many people will choose to guess the answer to this question? 5. How many verses are in the Greek national anthem? 6. How much money was in Elvis Presley's checking account when he died, in American dollars? 7. On average, how many combined hours of sleep will a couple, between the two of them, lose by having and raising a baby within the child's first year of life? 8. In which year was the most recent execution by guillotine in France? 9. How many points have been given to players still in the challenge as of the end of question 8? 10. How many words are in the challenge post for the next round? 11. If you're wanting to call Antarctica, which country code should you use? 12. When you buy a McDonald's Big Mac, what is the average number of seeds you might find on a bun? 13. How many words for the concept of "love" are in the Sanskrit language? 14. What is the number of meters you would need to walk to burn off the calories gained by eating one serving size of M&M's, or Smarties, which is 1 oz. of candy? 15. In which year was the game "Twister" released? Tiebreaker question: How many confessional posts have been made in the confessionals of the living players up to this point? Tiebreaking procedures: In the event that two or more people answer the correct answer, or are equidistant from the correct answer, all players involved in that tie will earn a point, but the furthest from the correct answer will still be eliminated. In the event that two or more people are tied for being furthest away from the correct answer, they will both be eliminated. If more than one person is left at the end of fifteen questions with the same number of points, then the person who answered the tiebreaker question most correctly will win. Additional Information: You may not communicate with any individual concerning any aspect of this challenge. You may not utilize any outside resources in the completion of this challenge. You are playing for a Golden Power of Veto, which means, if you are not currently nominated, and you use the Veto, you are not eligible to be renominated. If any individual does not submit for the challenge, they will be considered to never have participated, and the first question will still play out. Along with your challenge submission, please choose whether or not you wish to use the Power of Veto if you win it. Heads of Household, please select your top 2 choices for nominees with your submission, in the event that your original nominee is removed from the block. Finally, my apologies for posting this early. You will actually have 25 hours. And avatars will be updated this evening. |

A point of clarification: You cannot be closest to the correct answer and farthest away at the same time. So, for example, if everybody submits the same answer for a question, they will all receive a point, and nobody will be eliminated. |

You do not need to do this immediately, but please do this before the challenge deadline, or you will not be eligible to win the Veto. As for the HoHs, you will receive a strike if one of your nominees is vetoed and you do not have a replacement choice stated in your confessional. |

First off, Kat failed to submit for this challenge. Also, Elissa and Derrick both submitted, but failed to specify what they would do with the veto, so they are ineligible to win. 1. What is the number of glasses of milk which the average dairy cow can give in her lifetime? Correct answer: 200,000 Joe: 411 Jordan: 1,024 Sindy: 2,999 Nicole: 5,000 Jenna: 25,000 Spencer: 200,000 Zingbot: 200,000 RC: 200,000 Spencer, Zingbot, and RC all guess the correct answer and they all receive points. Joe, with his poor dysfunctional cows, is eliminated from the challenge. 2. How many sheep per person live on the Falkland Islands? Correct answer: 350 Jenna: 10 Spencer: 167 Jordan: 564 Spencer is the closest to the correct answer, so he receives another point. Jenna is eliminated. 3. How many rooms are in Buckingham Palace? Correct answer: 602 Jordan: 96 Sindy: 343 Zach: 669 Spencer: 775 RC: 800 Zach is closest so he earns a point, and Jordan is eliminated. 4. How many people will choose to guess the answer to this question? Correct answer: 12, the ones listed below, as well as Jordan, Jenna, Joe, and Derrick all submitted an answer for this question. Jessie - 3 Spencer - 5 Zingbot - 5 Nicole - 8 J'Tia - 8 Sindy - 10 Zach - 10 Keith - 12 Keith Nales it and Jessie is eliminated. 5. How many verses are in the Greek national anthem? Correct answer: 158 Keith: 4 Sindy: 14 Nicole: 15 RC: 150 Spencer: 158 Spencer gets the correct answer and he earns his third point! Spencer wins the Power of Veto! Since Spencer was nominated by Jessie, that means that Jessie will choose the replacement nominee. Jessie has chosen to nominate: Spoiler: click to toggle

the distance between you and me is longer than my member title

you'd think with all these deadline extensions and delayed results, the mods wouldn't need to post the nominees when there's still 45 minutes left before deadline ZINGGG |
