The Islamic world made enormous strides towards the advancement of knowledge during the Medieval era, and the University of Sankore was one of the largest and most famous. Today we are going to be simulating one of the most frustrating parts of attending a university: the group project! Your task as a tribe is to complete a series of puzzles as quickly as possible. However, each member of the tribe must participate on a different part. Below is a list of six challenges. Discuss among yourselves and assign each puzzle to a different person. Nobody may work on the same puzzle!

Puzzle 1 is a jigsaw puzzle, with pieces that must be arranged to form a given image.

Puzzle 2 is also a jigsaw puzzle, but it has significantly more pieces than Puzzle 1.

Puzzle 3 is a Scrabble/anagram puzzle. You will be given four sets of seven letters, and you will be tasked with forming a seven-letter word out of each set of letters.

Puzzle 4 is two Countdown number puzzles. You will be given two sets of six numbers, and using the four basic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) you must reach a target number for each set.

Puzzle 5 is a KenKen puzzle. You will be given a 5x5 square, in which each row must have each number 1-5, as must each column. Also, each outlined set of squares must equal a given number using the given operation for that set of squares. If you're not familiar with the rules or need some clarity, try this link.

Puzzle 6 is a drop-down puzzle. You will be given a bunch of letters that you will have to "drop" onto a grid in order to make a quote. That's not really a good explanation, so check out a much better example here.

The first two puzzles will require uploading screenshots.

Each tribe's total time will be added up, and the tribe with the slowest overall time will go to Tribal Council. You have a total of 52 hours to decide who will solve which puzzle and then get all puzzles completed. Individuals may complete their part of the challenge any time they please once all roles have been assigned.

Old World, you have one extra player so you must choose somebody to sit out.

When you're ready to start the puzzle a timer will start. When you finish you will stop the timer.

So we only get the puzzles when everyone is assigned?

Woo, the results are in a day early, so no point in us all waiting around!

First of all, multiple people had trouble uploading the jigsaw puzzles, so I am going to use the time in the screenshot instead of the timers after all. Truth be told, this is more fair, I just didn't want to encourage people to practice the puzzle multiple times and then submitting their lowest run.

Let's see how you all did...

Puzzle 2
