![]() This is it. The final immunity challenge. Win this, and you are guaranteed a chance to plead your case to the jury on why you are the most deserving of the life-changing $25 gift card. And ultimately it is going to come down to one thing: who wants it the most? Despite being at the end of this game we are going to Stonehenge, which is by far the oldest Wonder you all have encountered. Archaeologists say that the construction of Stonehenge took almost 1000 years. This challenge won't take quite as long, but it will still be an impressive feat, because in addition to the oldest wonder, we are also going to be inspired by the oldest Final Immunity Challenge in the (TV) Survivor playbook: an endurance competition! Here's how this is going to go down. Let me know via either PM or in your confessional when you would like to start the challenge. At the designated time, I will open up a special forum just for you. I will give you a writing prompt. You must write FOUR sentences about that topic. Four minutes later, you must post another four sentences. Four minutes later, you must post another four. If you ever take longer than four minutes to post, then you are eliminated. Whoever can keep going the longest without messing up will win. A few ground rules: 1) You cannot plagiarize, not even paraphrasingly or partially. You need to be making 100% original thoughts here. That includes yourself; no copying one of your earlier sentences and just changing a few words around. 2) Your post must be at least four sentences long. 3) You may post in frequencies faster than four minutes, but you must make one post at most 4 minutes apart from your last one. 4) Your posts must be about the subject you are given. Periodically I will announce a change in topic. When that happens, it's fine if you make one final post about the previous subject. But one post should be enough for you to notice the new subject, so pay attention. 5) No quoting allowed at all. 6) Thucydides and I will have the final judgement on whether a post is valid or invalid. 7) I will change the forum clock settings to display seconds. 8) Once you are done with the challenge, do NOT discuss it with any other player. If you have any questions, ask them here. Remember, once you start you probably will not have time to ask questions, so do it beforehand. |

So, basically a paragraph long each time? Also what if the subject is something you know nothing about? Like for me example: how do you put a car engine together? |

Pretty much. I promise all topics will be things that you can talk about. |

By the by, I'm pretty close to going to bed so if you plan on doing this tonight I'd appreciate a heads-up in the next few minutes. EDIT: And you're all offline so we get to wait until tomorrow. Edited by Herodotus, Mar 23 2016, 10:42:47 PM.

Will you be keeping track the whole way so the turn ends the moment you mess up/miss or whatever? |

To be honest, it depends on when you start. I have no problem starting things off while I'm at work, but obviously I might have difficulty checking every single timestamp live if my boss is around. I promise I will do my best, though. |

How will spelling, typos, grammar take part? (How much does it matter.) So, unless you say so we continue on the same subject, correct? |

The occasional typo is fine, but don't abuse that by just mashing the keyboard with your palm. If things are bad I'll probably give out a warning first. And yeah, if you don't see me post, assume that you are to continue on the same topic. |

This is completely unrelated and not mandatory, but I would love to see a confessional post from everyone with their plans if they do win immunity, if they don't win immunity, and how they plan to sweet talk the jury. |

One last thing... Each four minutes starts over from the last posts time, yes? |

Correct. So if you post at XX:00, your next post must be before XX:04, then the next one before XX:08. If you post early, say XX:06, then the timer resets and your next post must be before XX:10. |

Awesome, are we counting down to the second or rounding to minutes? |

To the second. I believe I have disabled the automatic "Posted One Minute Ago" thing so seconds should be visible on the timestamp. |

A few people posted potentially-identity-revealing information during their challenge, so I will be keeping the challenge threads secret until postgame. Sorry about that. For those interested, here were the prompts: Spoiler: click to toggle |
